Chapter 1405 - 69 Blade Empress

Chapter 1405: Chapter 69 Blade Empress

Using "Lake Light Mirror Image" to simulate a weapon’s unique attributes, the success rate is too low; after all, the higher the level, the more complex the construction.

Tang Zheng’s Hand of Akmond, the most complete replication he managed, was no more than seventy percent.

"Shouldn’t be successful, right?" Mirene frowned, anxious for Tang Zheng. The favorability the Group Leader had previously polished had an effect; the blonde loli didn’t view him as a bad person and let him continue to touch the long-handled sickle in an attempt to analyze its structure.

"It’s done!" After nearly thirty-something failures, Tang Zheng finally succeeded in replicating it, although it was still unstable, and the blade had fine, irregular distortions.

"Try it, how’s the power?" Mirene, holding a sickle taller than herself, swung it and created a whirlwind, bursting all the approaching fireballs.

"What I need isn’t attack power, but additional effects." Tang Zheng sighed, having hoped to clone other weapons with unique properties through "Lake Light Mirror Image." Unfortunately, his plan was now awry, because aside from Mirene, absolutely no one would let him touch their weapons for a long time.

Hand of Akmond, as an S-level weapon, also had eight major attributes: bloodsucking, life recovery, plague curse, sustained damage, mimicry... all extremely practical effects.

Tang Zheng, holding the Undamaged Lake Light in his left hand and the long-handled sickle in his right, rushed at full speed toward the Guardian Beast, then jumped, somersaulted in the air, and landed on Steel Sky, falling like a meteor.

"The Trial of Fire, begin!" Tang Zheng roared.

As he launched into his violent state, a red mist emerged from his body, enveloping him. His muscles swelled, and his heart pumped more vigorously, almost bursting his veins with blood.

Boom, Tang Zheng crashed onto the Guardian Beast, both weapons plunging into it. With a forceful pull with his arms, he carved out a gash.

The Guardian Beast’s claw came swiping up, and Tang Zheng swung his sword; Moonlight Slash stuck in, he dodged and landed at the tail, unleashing another fierce attack.

The sickle turned into a gauntlet on Tang Zheng’s hands, each heavy punch like a bombardment from a heavy cannon, shaking the body of the Guardian Beast, blood spurting.

Gu Xueqi released a Pumpkin Carriage, spreading various negative auras, continuously firing Flame Phoenixes with both hands, replenishing Tang Zheng’s energy.

Tang Zheng’s offensive surged wave after wave, but his life energy was rapidly depleting.

Bang, Tang Zheng was knocked away, yet in an instant he reappeared beside the Guardian Beast, striking it with thunderous blows.

"It’s not enough, the firepower is still lacking!" If this continued, the Guardian Beast wouldn’t die, but Tang Zheng would collapse first. He went all in and plunged the Lake Light into the Beast’s body, "Magic Sword Release."

Boom, a black mist surged under Tang Zheng’s feet, instantly pervading the red, and his combat power rose once again. The errant energy raged in all directions, slicing the ground into fissures, and the flying rubble hadn’t even struck it before being shredded by the energy waves.

"So strong!" Mirene felt Tang Zheng’s momentum skyrocket, nearly catching up with her third-order sister.

Gu Xueqi could no longer see Tang Zheng’s figure, only the Guardian Beast remaining stationary, screaming non-stop. Its massive body showed dents and fractures, blood splattering everywhere. It wanted to counterattack but couldn’t grasp its foe.

"Not enough, it’s still not enough!" Tang Zheng bellowed, Lake Light’s power erupted, the violent effect further increased, and after Magic Sword Release doubled, he reached the strength of a Hero Tier 3, but the cost was not small. His body was collapsing; if it continued for over two minutes, there would be permanent damage.

Hand of Akmond’s bloodsucking and life recovery were taking effect, Tang Zheng’s self-healing cells were desperately repairing his body, and Daylily was not idle either, wishing she could transform her entire being into energy to merge into Tang Zheng’s body.

Pan Hui knew the situation was critical but was really out of strength.

"Fight!" Gu Xueqi screamed, supporting Tang Zheng regardless of the cost, watching the Group Leader fight desperately. At this moment, the beauty queen didn’t think of preserving her own strength but gave her all, willing to fall before Tang Zheng. She wanted to repay her debt of gratitude.

Mirene also fought with all her might; the five Teddy Bears swelled in size again, and alongside Charlie, they acted as meat shields, entangling the Guardian Beast to prevent it from focusing on Tang Zheng. Shadow Barbie, invisible, repeatedly ambushed, attacking its field of vision, and Virus Doll clung to it, constantly gnawing.

"Annoying monster." Mirene turned her weapon into a heavy cannon and bombarded the Guardian Beast. What was fired wasn’t ordinary cannon shells, but life energy, with tremendous destructive power.

"Damn it, break!" Tang Zheng’s mouth spilled blood, his skin also cracked, blood staining his entire body. But it wasn’t enough, the wounds on the Guardian Beast were healing.

"Military General, possess me!" After violent and release states, Tang Zheng briefly attained the strength of a hero, enabling him to use evolved abilities after reaching Hero Tier 3.

"At your command, Master!" The Military General leaped up, turning into a streak of black arrow and shot into Tang Zheng’s body.

Tang Zheng’s combat power rose again; a pair of wristguards appeared on his wrists, each heavy hit tearing through like being cut by the Military General’s blade.

After all, he wasn’t a complete Hero Tier 3, or else Tang Zheng could have summoned more generals, and after possession, each general could enhance Tang Zheng’s combat power, but now, it was enough.

Tang Zheng had become a humanoid beast; Gu Xueqi and the others couldn’t see him, but they could see the Guardian Beast being dismantled, body shattering.

"Break!" Tang Zheng’s heavy fist swung out, landing on the Guardian Beast.

Boom, as if with an inner force, the other side of the Guardian Beast’s body suddenly exploded, and a blast of air surged out, causing its entire body to topple to the ground.

Tang Zheng knelt on the ground, coughing violently, spitting out a large mouthful of fresh blood.

"Tang Zheng!" Gu Xueqi, worried about the Group Leader, went all out, firing the Flame Phoenix, striving to rescue him.

The shell of the Guardian Beast had cracked, and a fat maggot crawled out, its pores spraying blue Poisonous Mist.

"Now it’s my turn to shine." Mirene was simple-minded, not one for deceit or sleight of hand. Seeing Tang Zheng fight, she wanted to help, and was very interested in the Boss Battle. Seeing the maggot emerge, she didn’t feel disgusted but instead became excited.

"As long as it’s alive, it should kneel before me." Mirene’s Plague Lord finally took effect, as the Poisonous Mist that touched her was directly dispersed and absorbed, causing the maggot’s body to tremble and unable to release its abilities.

"Don’t let your guard down!" Tang Zheng had just issued the warning when the maggot’s body suddenly swelled and then instantly shriveled, releasing torrents of venom from its pores and dispersing into the air.

Mirene was too eager to perform, got hit, her skin turned black on one half of her face, but the Virus Doll ran over to her, bit her hand, and with its sucking, the toxin was removed.

Pan Hui could no longer care about others; ensuring her own survival was already tough enough.

Gu Xueqi, shielded by the Phoenix Shield, was treating Mirene; her Life Energy again depleted. She couldn’t resign herself to failure at the last moment, Gu Xueqi’s will was absolutely strong.

"Explode for me!" This persistence helped Gu Xueqi successfully advance to tier two.

The Flame Phoenix now carried a purification effect, dispelling all impurities. The maggot thriving in the Tropical Rainforest, adept at using bacteria and venom, now found itself suppressed.

Tang Zheng deactivated his Demon Sword Release state and had already retracted his Steel Sky, retaining only the Violent and General Possession, but it was enough.

The maggot was miserable. Tang Zheng, enhanced by the mutant virus, had some immunity to bacterial damage. Not to mention Mirene and Gu Xueqi, it was fortunate, or they wouldn’t have lasted in the fight.

Mirene’s Heavy Cannon exploded on the maggot, green body fluid burst from its ruptured skin, causing it to scream in pain.

Tang Zheng replicated the Hand of Akmond once more, this time still as a gauntlet. When it landed on the maggot, Lake Light completed Energy Gathering, and Moonlight Slash was unleashed, splashing like a waterfall of blood on its body.

On the Golden City’s ground, several teams were bombarding the final Boss, with corpses everywhere. Their ranks were in tatters, but now they had no choice but to trust each other, going all out for a misstep meant being killed by the Boss.

The monster guarding the Golden City was a vine plant, which had clones everywhere, proving to be quite troublesome. However, the Group Leaders were no easy prey, having inflicted heavy damage on it by now.

The leader of the Argentinian and Brazilian Teams had temporarily formed an alliance, while Qin Yan’s Warhammer Team and a Japanese Team, looking to profit from their exhaustion, stood on the periphery.

"Group Leader, where are you?" The UK Group’s deputy leader was sweating profusely with urgency. If the Group Leader were here, the battle would have been over by now, and all these people would be dead. But that sister-obsessed guy had abandoned the mission just to find Mirene.

Thinking this, the deputy leader was almost furious. Although Mirene was strong, her sense of direction was terrible, and this flaw had wasted many opportunities.

A thunderous roar echoed through Golden City, causing leaves to rustle, and survivors to wince from ear pain. Not knowing what happened, the deputy leader’s face brightened.

"The Group Leader has arrived." The members of the UK Group were immediately buoyed and started to contest the Boss, pressuring the strongest Argentinian and Brazilian alliance.

"Damn, it’s the Blade Empress." The Brazilian Group Leader looked up, recognizing the uninvited guest.

A dragon, over ten meters long, flew over the Holy City, casting a huge Shadow on the ground. Its domineering entrance immediately drew everyone’s attention, their gaze drawn involuntarily toward the sky.

A girl of about eighteen or nineteen stood on the dragon’s back, dressed in a blue battle skirt, radiating a martial spirit. Her full head of blonde hair scattered, shining brilliantly under the Sunlight.

The Blade Empress rested her hands on the Sword of Oath and Victory, looking down at the Battlefield below. She then lifted it above her head, golden specks condensing, dazzling and inextinguishable.

Without any announcement, the Blade Empress swung down the double-edged sword. The golden beam, like a military knife, sliced into the Boss, severing its tentacle vines. The beam continued to spread, cutting through a high altar nearby.

Rumble, rumble, stones fell, and when the light faded, they realized the Altar had been cut in two by that strike.

"Leave, or die!" The clear voice of the Blade Empress resounded above Golden City, her gaze imperious.

"Go!" The Brazilian Group Leader had seen Elizabeth’s prowess before. Without hesitation, he led the team to retreat.
