Chapter 1344: Chapter 20 Inactivation Treatment (3 updates)

Mazi-faced would have preferred it if the Conquerors had agreed immediately; he wanted to cause trouble but regrettably lacked the strength.

"There’s no problem!" Tang Zheng knew they had no choice but to try their best to gather intelligence, "I need information on those three types of Alien Species, including their weaknesses, natural enemies, things they dislike..."

Tang Zheng spouted a lot of things off the top of his head, clearly and logically. The female doctor kept nodding, growing more fond of him as she watched, "That’s right, you’re excellent. I want you to be my assistant, how about that? Think it over?"

"No interest." Tang Zheng looked towards the newbies, "Aside from the Patient, Old Soldier, Qin Yan, and Mu Nianqi, the rest wait outside. Without my command, don’t wander off. Meiqin, Zixuan, keep an eye on them."

"My granddaughter, she..." The Old Sanitation Worker squeezed over, pleadingly looking at Tang Zheng.

"It’s okay, don’t worry!" Tang Zheng, carrying the little girl and Lu Fan, entered the Laboratory, frowning upon seeing only one bed stained with an unknown fluid—certainly, they had dissected Alien Species here.

"Help them lie down!" The female doctor headed to the Experiment Table, starting the preliminary work of mixing a vaccine.

"Why did we get infected with this bacteria?" Tang Zheng gazed at the firmly closed door, "Could that kind of Alien Species disguise itself as one of us, staying among us?"

"That’s what I was about to discuss with you. I need to draw everyone’s blood for testing to be sure," the doctor glanced at Mu Nianqi and licked the corner of her lips, "Another perfect specimen. Could today be my lucky day?"

"No need for me," Mu Nianqi refused. She knew her body well because she had received a Special Elixir, so these plagues could never harm her, "Tang Zheng, you don’t need it either."

"Hey, don’t say nonsense if you don’t know." The female doctor was frustrated, not wanting the opportunity for the experiment to slip away.

"First, draw blood from the newbies." Tang Zheng felt that if there was a problem, it would be with the newbies, since the Conquerors were not so easy to deal with.

What Tang Zheng didn’t know was that after being injected with the Virus, he was immune to almost all viruses and bacteria, and vaccines made from his blood could also temporarily deactivate bacteria.

"Let the newbies come in, three at a time. Get ready, and if you see something wrong, take action to kill it!" Tang Zheng wiped the sweat from the foreheads of the two little girls.

The Old Soldier opened the door to inform the newbies, while Qin Yan went to the adjacent refrigerator to fetch equipment.

The female doctor’s blood drawing was fast. Lin Weiguo watched every newbie closely, seemingly trying to discern something from their faces.

The short-haired woman frowned, already knowing what had happened through the newbies’ narratives. Once her blood was drawn, she would certainly be recognized, for her blood was different.

"Hey, it’s your turn!" Pang Meiqin urged, while Gu Xueqi secretly gripped her Handgun. Every newbie was eager to go in sooner, as if that would cure them, except for the one in front, hesitating.

"I don’t want to, I’m afraid of injections!" The short-haired woman was still trying to bluff her way through. Her brain had actually been occupied by the bacterial Alien Species, temporarily becoming a host. If not for the desire to acquire Tang Zheng’s or Mu Nianqi’s bodies, she would’ve left already.

This kind of Alien Species could only survive by parasitizing other species’ bodies, and they longed for strong bodies so their bacteria could evolve stronger Vitality.

Pang Meiqin was startled, immediately pulling out the Ripper and hacked towards the short-haired woman, the excuse too lame; after all, not getting vaccinated meant death, and even in fear, one would likely bear the pain.

Gu Xueqi also aimed at the short-haired woman, thumbing off the safety of her Handgun and Shot at her.

The short-haired woman’s reaction wasn’t slow either, grabbing a man nearby and pulling him in front of her as a Meat Shield. At the same time, her spine split open completely, forming a large mouth.

The woman standing behind the short-haired one almost vomited; its form was too disgusting. The large mouth on the back was long and narrow, with bone-like Tentacles on either side wriggling and making a rustling noise.

"Tang Zheng, it’s on the outside." Pang Meiqin sheathed her knife, delivering a kick that sent the unfortunate man used as a Meat Shield flying.

The short-haired woman’s facial skin fell off, turning into a meatball that suddenly split open, spewing a mass of Bugs towards Pang Meiqin and Gu Xueqi. The big mouth on the back did the same, with green, slimy Bugs swarming out.

The newbies screamed, trying to distance themselves from the short-haired woman. A few unlucky ones who were close ran too slowly, and the Bugs climbed onto them, vomiting some type of Acid, corroding the protective gear, then biting through the skin and burrowing in. Distinct small bumps could be seen forming on the body surface.

Tao Ran deployed the Sighing Barrier, a black Sphere enveloped part of the corridor, slowing down any Bugs that entered.

The crowd was too dense, Dong Zixuan couldn’t even use magma.

With the sound of the Warhammer’s motor starting, Tang Zheng and the others broke through the Wall and rushed out, attacking the short-haired woman.

Tang Zheng turned on the full Gravity Suppression, hindering the Bugs’ march. Qin Yan burst forth, releasing the Shadow Country, slowing down the Bugs’ progress; not even one newbie could afford to die now.

Mu Nianqi’s Northern Wind Ring formed a tornado, wringing the life out of the bugs, as her clone also appeared behind the short-haired woman, launching an ambush attack.

The Old Soldier’s speed was a weakness, making it impossible for him to charge forward.

Tang Zheng entered Hero Mode, activated gravity, and sent all the bugs flying backward, smashing into the short-haired woman like hailstones.

Qin Yan liquified, and beneath the short-haired woman, a thorny jungle of guns sprouted, which she did a backward flip to avoid, but just as she evaded, a Warhammer spun through the air, aiming for her head.

Boom, a series of bone spurs suddenly protruded from the short-haired woman’s chest, creating a shield that blocked the Warhammer. Tang Zheng tugged at his Shadow cloak, teleported over, caught the Warhammer, and then smashed it onto her bony shield.

The short-haired woman fell, as Qin Yan approached, wielding the Magic Spear Thorn while Pang Meiqin’s explosive arrows, glowing with a dim light, landed on her body.

The short-haired woman’s form changed again; all flesh and bones piled up in front, like a flower, to block the attacks, while at her back, a protruding tumor, like a chrysanthemum, continually spewed out bugs.

As bacteria, upon swallowing parasites, they absorbed some genetics and integrated them into cells to achieve evolutionary goals, so even among these alien species, no two were exactly alike.

There were numerous bugs, crawling all over Tang Zheng’s legs, and the squishing sound they made when stepped on felt slippery, like stepping on loaches, enough to make one’s skin crawl.

Even Mu Nianqi disliked these fuzzy, disgusting bugs and swore to soak in a hot spring for three days and nights once back.

Although the newcomers were quite scared, they were lucky this time. The corridor was narrow, and the strongest members of the team were at the forefront, fiercely attacking the alien species, allowing none of them to die.

The female doctor peeked her head out, wishing she could turn them all into specimens for her collection. These alien species were known as special biological disasters, the targets of an entire star system’s extermination efforts because even one could potentially destroy a planet if given time to reproduce.

Tang Zheng’s Warhammer whirled like a windmill, each blow as heavy as a thousand pounds. The alien species couldn’t withstand it any longer, the bone shield cracked, and its ’chrysanthemum’ spat out many bugs that, once inside the enemy’s body, would greatly weaken their constitution. But the Conquerors’ defense was too tight, denying it any chance.

Qin Yan’s Shadow Country cast a shadow over the entire corridor, the thorny jungle of guns shot wildly, slaughtering those bugs, while Tao Ran’s Time-space Blackfish flew out, chasing after and viciously biting the alien species.

The alien species retreated into the living room, and after realizing it couldn’t win, it prepared to flee. At this point, it had completely lost its human form, becoming a massive lump of flesh and bone spurs with several pairs of ventral feet scuttling away in haste.

The female doctor pressed a red button, and alloy walls descended throughout the apartment, sealing it off completely. Then a potent disinfectant spewed from the outlets.

"Be very careful. This thing has strong vitality. When it’s close to death, it turns into dust-like material and hibernates. It can only be killed by a one-time, concentrated attack," the female doctor lowered the temperature of the apartment to keep it below freezing, slowing down the decomposition of the alien species.

"Dong Zixuan, Tao Ran, Xin Lan, come here!" Tang Zheng chose the three with the strongest control and attack power to restrict the alien species’ range of movement.

In its death throes, the alien species spat out bugs that no longer attacked Team Warhammer but scattered in all directions. As long as one survived, it wouldn’t die and could return for revenge once mature—this was its most terrifying feature.

Tao Ran’s Sighing Barrier unfolded, and within it, time slowed to a crawl.

Li Xinlan activated Ice Age, the disinfectant quickly froze into blocks of ice, and the bugs became encased in it, like amber.

The alien species’ body was covered with a layer of ice shavings, still struggling, but the rate at which it spit out bugs had slowed.

"Zixuan, Xueqi, burn it to death!" Tang Zheng didn’t quite trust the female doctor’s words and decided to follow his own strategy. Thousands of degrees of high heat, combined with the school beauty’s Phoenix Purification, would probably be the end of the alien species.

Flames engulfed the alien species’ body, scorching it, and the stench of burning flesh began filling the air.

"Shatter!" Li Xinlan’s ability reached its zenith, and with a loud bang, all the ice shattered into powder, naturally pulverizing the bugs as well.

The Time-space Blackfish swam around the body of the alien species, swallowing the flying ash into its stomach, leaving no trace.

"You should be treating my teammates," Tang Zheng handed over the fight to the Old Soldier and went to supervise the female doctor.

"Hmph, my specimens are ruined. How do you plan to compensate me?" the female doctor pouted, watching the burn-dead alien species. "Stingy man, relax. I’m not insane enough to want such a dreadful sample."

"Get me the information quickly, so I can gather the ingredients needed for the vaccine," Tang Zheng didn’t believe this woman’s nonsense.

The female doctor, this time, did not trouble Tang Zheng and casually wrote down a blacklist.

"The eye of a Tomb Grass Star person?" Bai Guo couldn’t bear to look further, item by item, each more bizarre than the last. (To be continued.
