Chapter 1323: Chapter 2 Fury_2

"The wind seems to have died down, I need to go home, pack my bags, grab some cash, and make a run for it!" The oppressive life made Li Huiwen no longer want to stay. Wanting to take advantage of the night, she quickly got out of bed and hurriedly put on her uniform.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, she looked at the tangled silk stockings, which she had torn with her thumb in her haste. Frustrated, Li Huiwen threw them away, slipped into her high-heels, grabbed her handbag, and took nothing else.

As soon as she opened the door, a strong smell of fresh blood assaulted her nostrils. She looked at the bloodstain on the floor in the corridor and glanced at the neighbor’s partially open door.

"I won’t put up with this, you heartless bastard, I’m fighting back!" the woman, with a swollen, bloody face, roared as she grabbed an empty beer bottle from the table and smashed it against the man’s head, but sadly, she lacked the strength.

"You bitch, I’ll kill you." The man yelled, snatching up the ashtray and smashing it onto the woman’s face.

Li Huiwen was about to leave but seeing that the man showed no mercy and the woman no longer had the strength even to scream, and began begging, the man still didn’t stop. Memories of the past flooded her mind, and suddenly, she burst through the door and charged inside.

"What are you doing?" The man looked up, glanced at Li Huiwen, then his gaze drifted down to her legs and then to her chest; he swallowed hard. "Breaking into a house, I’ll sue you!"

The man was planning to blackmail Li Huiwen.

"I need money, I’ll do whatever you ask!" Li Huiwen approached the man as she spoke.

The man dropped the woman and stood up, walking towards Li Huiwen. He had just gotten close when she pulled a fruit knife from her embrace and stabbed him fiercely.

He was too close to dodge and watched the knife blade plunge into his stomach.

Li Huiwen pulled out the fruit knife and struck him two more times.

"What are you planning to do?" Li Huiwen ignored the man who had fallen and turned to the woman. "Come with me!"

The woman did not hesitate and nodded; she had lost all hope.

"Come back to my place first, grab some clothes!" Li Huiwen calmed down and realized she had committed murder, but she had no regrets.

Asking the woman to wait downstairs, Li Huiwen hurried upstairs, opened the door, and sighed with relief when she saw the unchanged shoe rack; then unending rage surged within her. That deadbeat husband used to stay home before, but now he often stayed out.

Li Huiwen didn’t waste time. She stuffed clothing into the suitcase and rummaged through drawers searching for the bank card and passbook. Her money had run out long ago, and she still owed usury, but she knew her husband had recently made a lot of money, evident from their daughter’s beautiful clothes and numerous toys.

After having dinner at her mother’s house, Xu Liangmao came back to pick up his daughter’s toys. Li Huiwen had recently gone too far, disappearing for nearly half a month. Seeing his daughters’ eyes swollen like peaches made Xu wish he could kill that woman. The only reason he had not divorced her was to not deprive their daughters of maternal love, never expecting her to shirk her responsibilities as a mother completely.

Xu Liangmao, fumbling for the key, paused at the sight of the slightly ajar anti-theft door, then walked in and saw the messy living room.

"What are you doing?" Xu Liangmao, always too honest, even in his angriest moments, never spoke harshly to Li Huiwen. His anger would only show through incessant smoking and sulking.

"I’m going on a business trip, I’ll be away for a while. Oh, and where’s your money? Give me some." Li Huiwen startled at the sudden appearance of Xu Liangmao, her heart skipped a beat, but after years of lying, she responded coolly.

"I have no money!" Xu retorted gruffly, glancing at Li Huiwen’s crumpled clothing. He wanted to say more but didn’t know how to start. After all these years, their relationship had faded, and their marital life was scant.

"You better visit the kids before your trip, spend half a day playing with them." Xu’s world had shrunk to only include his daughters; he didn’t care if everything else fell apart.

Li Huiwen saw Xu Liangmao ignoring her, asking nothing, and tears broke over her cheeks.

"Daughters, daughters, is that all you care about? What about me, what about this home?" The fear of murder and agitation caused Li Huiwen to explode; at that moment, she wished she could kill the man.

"There is, except for you!" Xu held his ground; as a ’Conqueror’, he noticed something was off with Li Huiwen’s state, and there was a faint smell of blood on her.

"Haha, how ridiculous. You don’t really think just earning money and supporting us is being responsible, do you?" Li Huiwen finally lashed out. "I married you because you were honest, but your honesty is disgusting. I’m not asking for romance, but can’t you show me a bit of care? Silent as a grave every day, who are you performing for? I’m a woman too; I need love, I don’t care about gold and silver jewelry, designer clothes, just say you love me, is that so hard?"

Xu’s lips twitched, but ultimately he said nothing. When it came to arguments, he couldn’t beat Li Huiwen, and he realized his wife wasn’t entirely wrong.

"You do take care of the family, you do work hard to earn money, but you’re going about it the wrong way. I’ve told you so many times, but you won’t listen. You’re already in your thirties, haven’t you adapted to society yet? What use is your pitiful pride? Can it bring in more money?" Li Huiwen mocked Xu mercilessly.
