Chapter 1312: Chapter 66: Two SSS Level Props (Third Update)
Tang Zheng was well aware of his equipment. Yin Shangwu had once given him a rare SSS Grade Resurrection Card. Possessing it, he could come back to life after death!
The fake Tang Zheng lay on the ground, his head twisted to one hundred and eighty degrees, pressed against the puddled floor. Tang Zheng held his gun in one hand and blew up his head, but he didn’t stop there. He continued to fire, mangling the body further.
Pang Meiqin helped Lin Weiguo to his feet, on full alert. They knew the Group Leader would not act without cause.
The Corpse was too mangled to be recognized, and with one hand, Tang Zheng grabbed the Magic Mirror and the Space Wristwatch as they flew into his grasp.
"Go pick up the Wristwatch from the Corpse!" Pang Meiqin found something for Tao Ran to do. Since the Clone’s equipment was exactly like the original’s, there was clearly a lot of valuable loot to be had.
Tao Ran picked up one, which then exploded with a boom, bloody and devastating her front. Her face was disfigured.
"Tang Zheng, be careful, throw away the Wristwatch!" Pang Meiqin fretted. It was too late though.
Boom, the Wristwatch exploded, but the flames that rose were blocked by the Shield. Moreover, Tang Zheng was not hurt. The S-level Defense of the Protective Clothing was too strong; this kind of attack couldn’t breach it.
The Clone’s Corpse continued to explode one after another, leaving no Wristwatches behind, completely dashing Pang Meiqin’s hopes of taking advantage of the situation.
"It seems that the Spoils of War obtained by the Clone in this round cannot be destroyed," Tang Zheng concluded while inspecting the black Magic Mirror, which hadn’t been damaged, although it was missing a piece.
Empress Magic Mirror, SSS Grade, rare Equipment that can evolve, obtainable only in a Dark Fairy Tale, capable of Demonic Break and Spiritual Break, with seven unique effects.
Copy, which can immediately produce several mirages of a target to confuse the enemy; however, the Clones have no attack power.
Reflect, able to reflect energy attacks and some physical ones, sending them back to the attacker. The more times Reflect is used within a certain time frame, the weaker the effect becomes. In the beginning, it can completely withstand SSS Grade attacks.
Tang Zheng let out a sigh of relief. Lucky for him, he was a Melee Soldier. Had he engaged in magical duels, he would have been utterly countered. Li Xinlan and Ruan Feifei would definitely be at a disadvantage against such Equipment, even with Hero Mode activated; however, using this thing needed to be timed accurately. Ordinary attacks didn’t justify wasting its uses.
Teleport, every three seconds, allows for arbitrary Teleportation within a three-hundred-yard range. Once touched by someone else, the Teleport is canceled.
Group Teleport could also be used to perform long-distance Teleportation from reflective surfaces, with a maximum of twelve people at a time. Please note this function consumes a significant amount of Life Energy.
No wonder the fake Tang Zheng only Teleported frequently at the end. Without any restrictions, it would have been too unstoppable. However, that move was meant for escape because, in case of a failed attack, being caught would put one in the same dire straits as the Clone.
Blinding Brightness can release a dazzling Light Beam that disrupts the target’s vision. If stared at directly, the eyeballs would be burned out. This ability requires a one-minute Cooldown.
Energy Gathering Self-Combustion, after irradiating the target, causes them to combust. With its searing heat, it can easily destroy S-level Defense. Please note, the longer the Energy Gathering duration, the longer the burning lasts and the stronger the force, even enough to Vaporize a human body.
Ai Yixin was still alive, albeit badly burned, looking like charred charcoal, severely wounded. Tao Ran was treating her with a Potion.
Dark Impact shoots out a Light Beam capable of tearing through space. If it hits, it will devour everything within the beam’s Range. The longer the Energy Gathering, the greater the power.
"Pretty strong, uncle scored big!" Lu Fan flew over and climbed onto Tang Zheng’s back—envy clear after scanning the attributes of the Empress Magic Mirror.
"SSS Grade, and it can evolve; shockingly powerful." Pang Meiqin believed that even if taken to the Holy Land, this Prop would rank highly. It was incredibly pragmatic—with the Teleport, Dark Impact, and the blinding effect like a Flash Grenade, it could certainly take many by surprise.
"The Wristwatch shows it’s in a damaged state. Could it be the side you destroyed in the Giant’s Cave when we just entered the game?" Lin Weiguo sat on the ground, letting the rain wash over him, as he attempted to contact their departed comrades to no avail.
"Yes!" Tang Zheng took out the Magic Mirror fragment from his pocket, which fit perfectly into the hole on the Mirror, but the cracks did not heal.
"It seems we need some more materials." Lu Fan held an Umbrella for Tang Zheng. "Let’s go inside the house. By the way, what were you worried about just now?"
"I was afraid he would resurrect, but it looks like he didn’t get the chance to use the Resurrection Card." Tang Zheng was incredibly tired and didn’t plan to enter the Crystal Palace immediately; supporting the others, they headed for a Wooden House.
The Conquerors saw none of it. In the Crystal Corridor, white specks like fireflies converged from all directions, eventually reforming the false Tang Zheng’s body. Seconds later, he opened his eyes, his expression savage as if an Evil Spirit from Hell.
"Damn it, I’ll be back to settle the score with you all!" The naked fake Tang Zheng left, his Equipment all destroyed. Going after Tang Zheng now would be no different from courting death.
Tang Zheng had not used the Resurrection Card because he did not know that the resurrection point could be chosen within any five-hundred-yard radius, to avoid being immediately killed again by enemies guarding the corpse.
Looking at the Crystal Walls reflecting his naked body, the false Tang Zheng showed no embarrassment. He stretched out his index finger and tapped the Frog Prince Tattoo on his chest. It emerged from his skin, croaked, and spat out a Space Wristwatch.
"Hmph, lucky I came prepared," the impostor Tang Zheng strapped the device onto his wrist, donned a set of ordinary protective clothing, and silently moved forward with a Thunderstorm rifle in hand.
This wristwatch contained unnecessary equipment that he never thought would come in handy.
The Frog Prince Tattoo could summon a spirit frog, an SS-grade, evolvable artifact that possessed a vast inner space able to store any item, even living beings, making it nearly impossible to steal. With an exceptionally keen sense of smell, it excelled at tracking and naturally avoided danger due to its timid nature.
"Spirit Frog, it’s all on you now!" The fake Tang Zheng patted the frog’s head and placed it on the ground.
This was the reason for the impostor Tang Zheng’s bold confidence; the Spirit Frog sniffed around the entrance, swiftly darting through, and only occasionally dashing into a room.
The countless rooms of the Crystal Palace harbored not just monsters but also potions and equipment, supplies prepared for the survivors to continue the fight. However, at best, they were only S-grade, which was better than nothing for the mighty Conquerors.
"We don’t have much time left, what do we do?" Pang Meiqin looked at the injured members, then at the Crystal Passage with reluctance, knowing that there was no choice but to enter.
"Go in. Brother Lin and Ai Yixin stay behind!" Tang Zheng brought out his Velociraptor Mount, ready to conquer Snow White.
"I’m not so hurt that I can’t move," refused the Old Soldier, and his wife also stood up, revealing a grim smile, "Even in death, let me stay with everyone."
"Let them follow, there are giants outside the small town, it might not be safe to stay here," Lu Fan tugged on Tang Zheng’s arm, "Let’s go."
"I wonder how many of those who left will survive?" Pang Meiqin’s comment went unanswered as Tang Zheng was already considering how to find Snow White quickly.
In the silent Crystal Passage devoid of any human presence, the severely injured Teng Yuangxiang leaned against the wall, sitting inside the passage and no longer able to bear the loneliness, she began to cry.
"I wish I had chosen death over running," Teng Little Three’s injuries were grave, and if not for the potions acquired with almost all of her points, she wouldn’t have lasted this long.
The sound of footsteps suddenly filled the air, drawing closer, startling Teng Little Three. She thought of hiding but was concerned about monsters behind the doors. Clenching her rifle, she watched the intersection warily.
"Please, let it be an ally coming!" Teng Yuangxiang prayed to heaven and earth. When she saw the impostor Tang Zheng, she cheered up and called out, "Group Leader, I’m here."
"Hmm?" The impostor Tang Zheng approached and kicked the dying woman with his foot, then pressed the gun muzzle to her head, "Waste of space, what’s the point in you living?"
"You’re not Tang Zheng?" Teng Yuangxiang flared up, as the other’s tone and expression differed greatly from Tang Zheng’s, and even the protective clothing was off, too trashy, "Are you a clone?"
"You’re not too stupid to be saved, so go to hell!" The fake Tang Zheng didn’t want to waste time and was about to shoot when Teng Little Three desperately clung to his legs.
"Please, let me go, I will do anything for you," Teng Little Three pleaded through tears, "Even be cannon fodder; I have no problem with that."
"Get off!" The impostor Tang Zheng kicked Teng Little Three away.
"I can’t accept this; I don’t want to die; why must I endure this fate; I refuse to submit, I want you all dead, all of you!" Watching the murder in the impersonator Tang Zheng’s eyes, Teng Little Three lost control, cursing everything in madness.
"Interesting!" The finger of Tang Zheng, which was almost on the trigger, relaxed as he squatted down, grabbing Teng Yuangxiang by the collar, "If I give you a chance to live, what do you want to do?"
"Annihilate the Warhammer team, kill everyone, stomp this world under my feet!" Teng Yuangxiang was desperate, "I want to be a Tyrant!"
"Good, I like your ruthless ambition and shamelessness, so follow me!" The impostor Tang Zheng thought of a way to trouble his real identity and burst into laughter.
The Frog Prince was efficient, taking only ten minutes to locate the university students who had fled into the Crystal Passage, nine remaining.
The newbies did not rush recklessly but watched the impostor Tang Zheng warily.
"Kill them, prove it to me!" said the impostor Tang Zheng with crossed arms, nonchalantly.
"No, killing one costs a thousand points; I would be erased!" Teng Yuangxiang refused.
"You could become a slaughterer; with your temperament, you’d rise through the ranks faster," the impostor Tang Zheng’s words shocked the newbies, and they turned to run.
"Alright, I’ll make them cannon fodder." Teng Yuangxiang used her ability to brainwash them into puppets.
Dantai and the others hid in a room for a temporary rest, with several of them severely wounded. However, the Special Agent did not leave any teammate behind.
"We need to find Tang Zheng quickly and leave the game; they won’t last much longer," Lu Fan rested in a corner, biting on a bandage, wrapping it around her arm. Her protective clothing was ragged and bloodstained, obviously after a fierce battle. (To be continued.
