Chapter 1253: Chapter 7 Dark Fairy Tale
"No way, you actually managed to win? How many group leaders did you slaughter?" Trojan was shocked and scared.
Newbies lack experience, and don’t know how strong the group leaders in the ticket battle are. However, Dantai and his team are well aware, each one is as good as Tang Zheng, and with four sets of Tyrannosaurus gear, that’s nearly a hundred thousand points of spoils of war.
"Dantai, Qin Yan, Brother Lin, Xin Lan, you four come and change into the Tyrannosaurus protective clothing!" Tang Zheng tossed the space wristwatch to them and looked at the other companions, "Dantai and Qin Yan are both third-order explosive types, the main force, so I’m giving it to them first, Brother Lin is the meat shield, high risk, as for Xin Lan, she is good for slaughtering groups, also needs to be strengthened, the rest who can also be upgraded to second-order explosive types are Bai Guo and Lu Fan, I’ll equip you when there’s a chance."
"You don’t need to explain, we understand," Lu Fan responded generously. Given that he was inherently at a disadvantage due to his smaller size, and those in protective clothing were the main attackers, always facing danger, Little Lolita understood Tang Zheng’s intention was to have her play sneakily and deceptively; he probably wouldn’t agree if it came to a head-on fight.
The naturally silly Bai Guo was willing to work hard and was very strong, but was too foolish, completely relying on diligence to compensate. If it really came to a fight, she might not even beat Lu Fan, so Tang Zheng still didn’t plan to have her charge into the fray.
"You also need to fight hard, level up quickly, because the game will get more and more difficult!" Tang Zheng sighed as he looked at the list of 3S-level weapons, although they were expensive, they were just common compared to those dropped in the game, otherwise he could have used the evolution card to upgrade the Tyrannosaurus protective clothing and hand out a dual SS-level firearm to someone else.
Seeing that Tang Zheng didn’t use the wristwatch to equip himself but gave it to his teammates, Mu Nianqi was slightly surprised and then understood; being a group leader, one must be generous, as the power of one person is ultimately limited.
"Trojan, exchange for Xuan Wu for me!" Tang Zheng received the protective clothing, all black like condensed ink with no extra decorations, and a hood that when worn, made the eye area transparent, not obstructing the vision.
Tang Zheng didn’t care about losing face. In front of the newbies, he stripped down to just his underwear before switching into the protective clothing,
Qin Yan and Xin Lan were not as unrestrained, stuffing the protective clothing into the wristwatch to change into later when they were inside the game and found some downtime.
"Every second in the game is precious, and you still care about these things?" Mu Nianqi said dismissively, "Trojan, give me back the equipment I sealed when I left!"
A cone from the cube emitted a white light, and a space wristwatch came out refreshed like a sheet of paper from a printer.
After putting it on her wrist, Mu Nianqi took off her coat, keeping only her underwear on, then pulled out the Tyrannosaurus protective clothing and put it on.
Seeing the perfect figure of the student council president, the university students all secretly swallowed, wanting to take pictures to keep as souvenirs, but alas, they didn’t have the guts.
As a fearless one, Mu Nianqi’s equipment was exceptionally good. She placed an SS-level demon flame handgun in her leg gun holster, then took out a vampire curved knife and hung it on her belt, finally pulling out a black heavy weapon over two meters long.
"It’s an SS-level black hole cannon!" Sha Ou swallowed, green with envy; this woman had just arrived, yet she was armed to the teeth.
Being a fearless one, Mu Nianqi was very confident in her own strength. She knew she couldn’t command those group members, seeing their attitude made it clear they were utterly loyal to Tang Zheng, so she didn’t bother trying to take command, but she also didn’t want to be treated like cannon fodder. So, she had to display her formidable strength to make people wary, to prevent them from causing her trouble.
"What order can you explode into?" Lu Fan played cute and tried to probe for intelligence, but unfortunately, Mu Nianqi was not charmed and simply ignored her.
"Damn!" Little Lolita pouted angrily, kicking the ground.
"Alright, enough talk, toys, please me with your lowly lives and sweet blood. In five minutes, the Survival Challenge Game starts, choose your equipment, each can only pick one type!"
Shoosh, the floor broke apart, and hollow steel racks filled with equipment rose up.
This time, over a hundred university students came in, all of whom were now looking at Mu Nianqi for instruction.
"Choose that black box, it contains protective clothing which can increase your chances of survival!" Mu Nianqi stepped aside decisively directing the students, "Don’t push, line up to get it, don’t be shy, just strip and change, from this moment on, you must race against each other for every second, every decision will determine whether you live or die!"
"Tch, full of the queen’s demeanor, Tang Zheng, your rival has arrived!" Dantai whistled lightly, glanced at the time, and in the oppressive countdown, he asked Trojan for everything about this game.
"No comment!" Trojan’s answer was succinct, making the Warhammer team wish they could flip it over.
"I’m spending points to inquire!" Lu Fan was furious, she wasn’t planning on going out anyway, she had points to burn.
"Two hundred points, hand them over!" Because the rules limited it, Trojan couldn’t ask for an exorbitant price.
"The theme of this game is Dark Fairy Tale; kill the BOSS to clear the level," Trojan revealed a schadenfreude expression, "Just a reminder, this BOSS is very strong!"
"This seems like the first time Trojan is taking the initiative to say the BOSS is strong, isn’t it?" Xu Biyun’s complexion changed a bit, her past death experience had made her much more fearful, she really didn’t want to go through that kind of pain again.
The room was a mess, and the newbies were too busy changing their clothes to pay attention to any information; Mu Nianqi scanned the crowd, looking into their expressions, searching for subordinates she could cultivate.
"What kind of BOSS is it? Just tell me," Lu Fan tried to act cute, unfortunately, the Trojan didn’t buy it.
"Dream on!" The Trojan laughed smugly, taking pleasure in seeing the toys’ miserable expressions. Suddenly, it was struck by a rifle, and the screen fuzzed out.
"Spill all the information you know within your scope of permissions," Mu Nianqi furrowed her brows with impatience, tapping her heels on the ground, "Don’t make me ask again."
"Hmmph! Last round, you used the team mission exemption card; this time entering the game, as a punishment, your strength is halved!" The Trojan dropped a bombshell, making Sha Ou and Teng Yuangxiang so agitated they wanted to curse.
"No wonder so many people are left; it turns out you used a card," Mu Nianqi said, her voice unchanged but laced with undisguised contempt, "A bunch of rubbish, unable to even complete the game without a leader!"
"How can you say that? You think we wanted to use it?" Ruan Feifei, considering herself an elite, believed she could complete the game. She was unintentionally dragged into this and, infuriated, glared fiercely at Tao Tao.
Mu Nianqi delivered a smack to the reporter woman’s head and simply ignored her.
"Let go!" Ge Cang, who had finished changing, grabbed Zhang Chun’en’s wrist to settle accounts.
Zhang Chun’en was tough too, without a word, he threw a punch toward Ge Cang’s temple, but missed.
Bang, Ge Cang kneed him in the stomach, then brought his hands together and smashed down on the back of Zhang Chun’en’s neck.
Zhang Chun’en’s vision went dark, and he collapsed to the ground.
Four bodyguards gathered around but hesitated to make a move. They wanted to figure out what this place was and it seemed they might have to rely on Mu Nianqi.
"Ge Cang, leave him alone." Mu Nianqi couldn’t be bothered with such a small fry, easily able to kill him any time, "Keep your eyes open later, stay quiet and be aware of your surroundings!"
"Time’s up, teleportation beginning!" As the countdown ended, a white light shone, and the survivors gradually disappeared from the room.
Zhang Chun’en, despite the pain, ran to a shelf, grabbed a box, and held it tightly.
Three seconds later, a scream erupted.
"Where is this? Why is it so dark?" a nasally voice shouted, "Group Leader, where are you?"
Suddenly thrust into an unfamiliar environment, the university students had completely forgotten their student union leader’s words. The darkness all around spurred them to shout out in nervousness.
"Shut up, everyone!" Tang Zheng bellowed strongly, suppressing all the commotion. Although aware of the danger, he still switched on his tactical flashlight. Without light, the newbies might panic, causing even greater chaos. Besides, he needed to inspect the area they had logged into.
With the light, it indeed became much quieter, and all eyes were fixed on Tang Zheng. However, many soon held their breath, as a thick, foul smell wafted through, penetrating their nostrils; some of the girls felt so nauseated they vomited.
"What is this?" Lu Fan was stunned. Using the beam of light, he saw the surrounding environment clearly—an enormous cave with strange, rugged rocks, its floor layered thick with wormwood, showing signs of compression, possibly a nest of some beast with dung and remains of devoured wild beasts scattered all around, and several white skeletal remains, giving off a truly terrifying sight.
In one corner of the cave were several dozen-meter-long vine plants, winding up to the cave’s ceiling, boasting oval leaves wider than a sedan, covered in a dense array of black spots, looking utterly revolting. A few newbies with trypophobia immediately got goosebumps all over.
Compared to these plants, humans seemed as insignificant as bound caterpillars.
Some of these vine plants had split into tendrils, on which hung two-meter-high, narrow cages made of green grass, and the newbies were locked inside them.
The unlucky guys, having seen their predicament, started to make a racket again.
"Silence! Whoever yells again, I’ll kill him!" Tang Zheng shouted, slamming a shot towards the front of the cage. Although the beam was powerful enough to destroy a warship, it hit them without causing even a splash and vanished into thin air.
"Can’t be! These are 3S firearms with demonic and spiritual breaking capabilities!" Tang Zheng’s brow twisted into a frown. He drew out his sword, slashed twice, and did slice open a wound as thick as a fingernail, but the cage healed itself instantly. Moreover, he felt a pain on his cheek, a powerful suction coming from the cage, pulling blood from his skin, forming a mist of blood. Once it fell onto the cage, the composing grass seemed to come alive, actually beginning to consume the blood and repair the damaged area.
