Chapter 1126: Chapter 11 Newbie Entering

Tao Ran entered the Trojan Room, sat on the ground, clutching his belly, his face full of pain, his mouth and cheeks smeared with fresh blood stains. He had just been killed by a man who had burst into the supermarket, stabbing him over a dozen times. His freshly washed woolen sweater was now spotted with blood, all from the punctures made by the blade.

"Tao Ran!" Tang Zheng’s voice was filled with concern. He rushed to Black Long Straight’s side, crouched down, and supported her shoulders, "It’s okay now, don’t worry."

"Tang Zheng? Where am I?" Having just escaped the excruciating pain and struggle of death, Tao Ran was still somewhat dizzy and hadn’t calmed down.

"You’re by my side, I will protect you!" Seeing the girl slightly frowning, Tang Zheng felt heartache and couldn’t resist anymore, he embraced her in his arms.

The miners had also slightly calmed down by then, noticing something was amiss, they asked with puzzled faces what this place was, but Tang Zheng had no mood to answer them.

"You better run, it’s that robber." A man teleported in, and seeing him, Tao Ran was startled and struggled to push Tang Zheng away.

"Damn it, such bad luck, huh, I’m not dead?" Li Zhilian quickly touched his body, found no wounds, and was shocked. Tonight, having lost all his money to gambling, Li Zhilian had been desperate to break even, and passing by Tao Ran’s supermarket, seeing no one around, he immediately turned evil, rushed in, and grabbed a fruit knife to commit a robbery.

This gambler originally just wanted some money, but seeing the girl, who was blind in one eye yet still looked much better than his yellow-faced wife at home, his thoughts turned sinister.

Tao Ran was alone guarding the supermarket, and although accustomed to it, he was also scared. There was a fruit knife under the cash register for courage. When Li Zhilian menacingly lunged at him to rip his clothes, in a moment of fright, Black Long Straight grabbed the fruit knife, but unfortunately stabbed askew.

Li Zhilian, furious, grabbed Tao Ran’s hair and viciously smashed his head on the cash register, his hand wielding the fruit knife stabbing wildly at Black Long Straight.

With his last bit of strength, Tao Ran managed to stab the fruit knife into Li Zhilian’s belly. After killing Tao Ran, this guy, enduring the severe pain, actually stuffed the cash from the register into his pocket before leaving the supermarket. Because he was nervous and dared not make a phone call for an ambulance, he managed to walk fifty meters before realizing he was bleeding excessively. But it was already too late—he collapsed on the curb and died.

Hearing Tao Ran’s terrified scream, Tang Zheng immediately understood the reason for her death, and enraged, he sprinted towards Li Zhilian, grabbed his hair, yanked it up, and with a tightly clenched right fist, smashed it into his face.

Li Zhilian’s nose immediately burst, spewing crimson blood. If not for Tang Zheng wanting to ’properly host’ him, a single punch could have shattered his nasal bridge.

"Damn it!" Li Zhilian certainly wasn’t going to just take the beating. Enduring the pain, he clenched his fist and swung at Tang Zheng’s right eye.

Tang Zheng, with one hand, caught Li Zhilian’s fist, exerted force to make him loosen his grip, then grabbed a finger and snapped it right away, followed by lifting his knee and slamming it into his groin.

Li Zhilian immediately bent over like a shrimp, screaming out in pain but quickly shut his mouth because Tang Zheng’s heavy punch landed on his mouth.

Initially, a miner tried to intervene, but seeing Li Zhilian spitting out several yellow teeth, bloodied mouth, and tumbling out, he immediately shut his mouth.

"Brother, stop fighting, let’s talk this over!" Li Zhilian lay on the ground, his face streaming with tears, pleading for mercy.

"Scumbag!" Tang Zheng walked over, lifted his foot, and kicked him in the abdomen, causing him to convulse. Even if it meant losing points, he was determined to give this guy a beating.

"Tang Zheng, stop, he might die." Tao Ran sat on the ground, moved yet worried as she watched Tang Zheng avenging her. A death could lead to prison.

Fifteen miners were silent as the grave, watching Tang Zheng’s violent acts, unconsciously stepping back. They had been frightened by the ruthlessness of this young man.

"Want to die? It won’t be that easy. Wait until you enter the game; I’ll feed you to the monsters!" Tang Zheng kicked Li Zhilian again but then stopped.

"What is this place? This isn’t a hospital?" Tao Ran pretended to be strong, but her trembling fingers betrayed her fear.

The miners also shifted their gaze, waiting for an answer.

Tang Zheng was about to explain when twenty newbies teleported in, all clad in police uniforms, both men and women.

"What is this place?" A policewoman shouted, her face filled with a haunted expression, "Was anyone hurt from the explosion just now?"

"Officer, I confess, I committed murder." Li Zhilian, fearing Tang Zheng might continue to beat him and realizing he couldn’t escape since Tao Ran was also present, thought it better to confess quickly, hoping for a reduced sentence.

Hearing this shout, the policemen were startled and quickly went to draw their guns, only to find their holsters empty.

"What’s going on?" Li Wenbo stepped forward decisively. Due to his family background, he was already a small team captain, and others wouldn’t contest him.

"Arrest him too, he almost killed me!" Li Zhilian, acting like a mad dog, didn’t want to let Tang Zheng off easily.

With urgent footsteps, the policemen immediately moved to apprehend Tang Zheng.

"Trouble!" Tang Zheng had already noticed that the Trojan Room was different and that his companions hadn’t teleported in. It seemed he might have to fight alone this time. He had intended to pull in a newbie, but he had encountered this situation right away.

Watching a middle-aged policeman lunge toward him in one leap, throwing a punch towards his nose, Tang Zheng acted swiftly, grabbing his fist and twisting it behind his back while securing his throat with his right hand.

"Don’t be rash, take a look around. You’re already dead," Tang Zheng had to consider the upcoming game, the policemen could become a force to reckon with.

The policemen froze, startled, and some of them thought back to the recent explosion, their faces turning immediately pale.

"Is it you?" Dong Zixuan was relatively calm, and she recognized Tang Zheng immediately, furrowing her brows, "Don’t spread rumors or you’ll end up in jail. Let him go first."

Dong Zixuan was somewhat biased towards Tang Zheng, but Li Wenbo was furious.

"Obstructing official duties. Arrest him first." Li Wenbo was enraged, he would have used his lack of a gun as an excuse to legitimately cripple Tang Zheng’s knees, seeing how he could pursue Zixuan then.

"Shut up, didn’t you hear what I said? You’re already dead. This is the Trojan Room, and soon we’ll be entering the game, a brutal struggle for survival." Tang Zheng sighed inwardly, this time he really had numerous opponents.

"Right, we must have been blown up," the previously speaking policewoman, Hu Liwen, now realized what Tang Zheng was explaining and burst into tears in fear, "The whole factory exploded, there’s no way we could have survived."

The policemen were skeptical but no longer concerned with Tang Zheng as they pondered their own situations, even Li Zhilian didn’t care and instead focused on her own issues.

"What exactly is going on?" Dong Zixuan approached Tang Zheng, "Let my colleague go first."

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean any harm; I just wanted you all to calm down." Tang Zheng released Ding Jian, apologizing. This action was simply to leave everyone with a good impression of him being polite, and the absence of any Conquerors yet had him quite uneasy.

"Young man, not bad skills. You almost broke my throat," said Ding Jian, a middle-aged man who had seen a lot, very slick. This youngster could say these things and had good skills, obviously, he was someone in the know. Ding Jian didn’t want to offend such a person right away, of course, if it later turned out he lied, Ding Jian had a hundred ways to deal with him.

"There, proof. See this, and you’ll stop doubting my words." Zhuo Yijie, dressed in a suit, teleported in, looking baffled. Tang Zheng shrugged, saving himself the explanation.

Three seconds were enough for the policemen and miners to witness the scene of their teleportation.

"Ghosts!" A timid male policeman, Zhao Lei, cried out. Several other policemen also looked uneasy, having been to the subway scene that day.

"That’s Zhuo Yijie who suicided in the Subway that day," Dong Zixuan explained, her face growing grim; she couldn’t possibly forget the guy who was squashed into a pulp in front of her.

Two women and one man then teleported in, those unlucky enough to have been killed by Zhuo Yijie that day, their memories clearly still stuck at the moment before their death in the subway, completely panicked.

"Who are you? How do you know all this?" Hu Liwen interrogated Tang Zheng, "How can we go back?"

"Only by clearing the Trojan Horse Game can we go back." Tang Zheng didn’t mind the tone; at times like this, it was crucial to appear stable and approachable, becoming an indispensable guide they needed to rely on.

"Will we die?" Hu Liwen was very anxious.

"Based on my previous experience, the mortality rate is about fifty percent." Tang Zheng casually made up a number, he didn’t say to listen to him, he would take them back; doing so might have had the opposite effect. Now, his task was to instill in them the belief that relying on him would greatly increase their chances of survival.

"Is that your secret?" Dong Zixuan suddenly realized, "Then tell us what the game is about?"

"Zixuan, don’t listen to this guy blabbering about dying and games; aren’t we alive and well?" Li Wenbo was annoyed, "We must have been hit by hallucinogenic gas. I believe the Director will soon have the Armed Police dispatched to rescue us."

"Yeah, what you’re saying is too unrealistic; you should prove yourself," Ding Jian was already mostly convinced; otherwise, how could he explain those teleportation processes, in this short duration of talking, more people had arrived.

"What is this place?" The speaker was a traffic police officer who had crossed paths with Tang Zheng once before. He had been killed on duty that day.

"Isn’t this enough?" Tang Zheng pulled out a machine gun from the Space Wristwatch, aiming at the policemen, who’s faces changed seeing it was not a model.

"What should we do next? What should we pay attention to?" Dong Zixuan’s mind was racing as she inquired Tang Zheng.

"Damn it, is this ever going to end?" Tang Zheng was about to explain but seeing another batch of newbies teleport in, he almost felt like banging his head against the front wall at the sight of familiar faces.
