Chapter 1072: Chapter 44 Demon Hospital

The woman was unlucky, hearing the sound of motorcycles and the laughter of the hippies, she instinctively moved towards the side of the road, but those guys still deliberately drove towards her. In the moment they passed by, they suddenly took out the water guns they had prepared and fiercely sprayed her.

The guns contained some weak acidic mucus, which wouldn’t hurt the skin and were used by the hippies for pranks to scare women. However, the woman didn’t know and thought it was sulfuric acid. She was so frightened that she took out the handgun she had robbed from Yin Zhijian and opened fire at the hippies.

Two unfortunate souls were shot down and fell into puddles of blood, and the other hippies, stunned for a moment, then angrily cursed and attacked the woman.

A baseball bat hit the woman’s hand, knocking the gun out of her hand, and then a rope was thrown around her, yanked hard, and as the motorcycles accelerated, she was dragged onto the highway and pulled a good distance away.

When Tang Zheng drove by, he found the woman badly torn up, barely breathing.

"Let’s go, there are cops!" The hippies saw the police car, instantly scattering in disarray, releasing the rope that tethered the woman and speeding away.

"Stop for inspection, or you will be severely punished!" Tang Zheng just made a routine shout, then turned on the siren, and stomped on the gas. The police car chased like a frenzied shark after the motorcycles, who, like migratory fish being hunted, fled in panic in every direction.

For a time, the whole Long Street was filled with the piercing roar of engines, shattering the night’s tranquility.

Although Tang Zheng was not very familiar with the nearby streets, he had exchanged driving skills after all. Although he wasn’t as sharp as Pang Meiqin, he was more than capable of handling this situation.

The car’s speed instantly climbed to a hundred miles, and a fork in the road rapidly expanded in his vision. Tang Zheng, without any panic, maneuvered the steering wheel, and after a series of smooth actions, the police car’s tires skidded against the ground, drifting into the fork with flair.

In less than a minute, Tang Zheng had closed the seventy-meter gap to thirty meters and continued to narrow the distance. One hippie couldn’t stand the chase, turned his head, and rushed into an adjacent alley.

"Trying to run?" With his left hand steering, Tang Zheng took out a Benelli M4 shotgun with his right hand, grabbed the tactical handguard, chambered a round with a clack, and took aim at the fleeing biker the moment the car passed the alley.

Bang, the bullet passed through the car window and then spread out, a large number of pellets slamming into the hippie and his bike. The alley wasn’t wide enough for him to dodge, he took the full brunt of it, becoming riddled with holes, and fell down; the out-of-control motorcycle shot forward and crashed into a wall, exploding into flames.

Tang Zheng extended the shotgun out of the car window and fired continuously, unloading the remaining six shots. He saw six motorcycles get hit and burst into fireballs, completely wrecked. The ignited mechanical parts dropped onto the road like heavy rain, while the hippies also crashed and lay unconscious on the ground.

There were three motorcycles left; two of them did not give in and sped up to escape, while the last rider, scared out of his wits, stopped on the side and raised his hands.

Tang Zheng drove over, the rider’s face turned pale with fear, and he ran to the side only to then get hit in the back of the head by a rifle butting, toppling him over.

Tang Zheng maneuvered the steering wheel, allowing the police car to swim past the motorcycle like a fish, while a hand grenade also popped out from the window and rolled underneath the bike.

Boom, the motorcycle was blown away.

"Drink a toast or drink a forfeit." After turning another street and bursting through a crossroad, Tang Zheng took out a machine gun and attacked the two motorcycles splitting up to flee. His exquisite shooting skills meant he only needed two bullets to take them down, but Tang Zheng still unleashed an entire two hundred-round bullet chain.

The bullets in the night, with their orange-red tails, were extremely dazzling, shooting non-stop past the hippies, drenching them in cold sweat. They thought they could escape, but within a minute, they were blown to bits.

Looking at the broken corpses, Tang Zheng felt no psychological pressure and drove back.

A hippie saw the police car charging and stood dumbfounded, then broke into a run, tripping in his haste.

"Don’t!" Blinded by the headlights coming at him, he covered his head with his hands, believing he was about to be hit.

Screech, the police car stopped just in front of him.

"Take them in to surrender." Tang Zheng threw down these words and left, not caring at all whether these guys would comply. This chase had added another fifty sin points to his tally.

Returning to the Dali Hua Hotel, Tang Zheng saw the place was a mess, Zhang Heng and Hu Shang were both dead, but he didn’t care about such scum. However, the fact that the Japanese left unharmed surprised him. This wasn’t Dantai’s style.

Before anyone could make sense of it, two hooligans brought Yin Zhijian back to the hotel. The man was deathly pale and couldn’t even walk, severely injured, and furthermore, a passing beggar had stolen his protective clothing while he was weak, a heavy loss.

"Dantai, find an opportunity to take out that director, or we can just go to the police station and stage a massacre," Tang Zheng was about to discuss the plan to take over the director’s seat with Dantai when the Red Trojan Alert went off.

"Attention all survivors, please proceed to Hopkins Hospital immediately. Those who fail to arrive within ten minutes will be executed!"

"What does this mean?" asked Teng Yuangxiang.

"No more chit-chat, let’s go, Dantai, you’re riding in my car," Tang Zheng frowned; thankfully, he knew the location of Hopkins Hospital.

With the arrival of Tang Zheng, the others naturally came out to greet him, so the need for a roll call was avoided, and Dantai had the bus ready for use at any moment.

The American team also sprang into action, while the Japanese team was the most frustrated.

"I knew it would be like this, I might as well have stayed with the Warhammer team," Ota Nobe complained a little, only to be met with a fierce glare from Sekiya Ganta.

A Caucasian man’s wife, unable to afford the exorbitant medical fees, was denied treatment by the hospital; this delay led to her death, as she and her unborn child perished on a resting chair in the hospital corridor.

The Caucasian man knelt on the ground weeping while a doctor, lacking any sense of public duty, yelled at him to leave quickly and not hinder others seeking medical attention. After the man roared back a few times, the security guards appeared, beat him up, and then threw him out of the hospital. His pregnant wife’s corpse was treated no differently.

Seeing his wife with a pale face and a large bloodstain on the highway below, the good husband became thoroughly enraged.

Standing before a manhole cover, the old man in a suit stared into the sewer for a long time before he noticed the commotion nearby and walked over.

"Are you angry? Do you feel wronged?" the old man’s cloudy eyes filled with pity as he stood hands behind his back, looking at the man.

The man, tears streaming down his face, nodded vigorously.

"Then seek your revenge!" the old man pointed at the man’s brow, and a purple rune pattern immediately appeared, igniting into flames that wholly enveloped him.

The old man took out a shotgun from beneath his clothing and handed it to the man. Eyes blinded by hatred and filled with rage, the man took the weapon and stormed into the hospital.

"What are you doing? There’s a disturbance, request for backup," a security guard saw the man and was so startled he dared not block him, quickly notifying others. He then drew his handgun, intending to shoot the man dead.

Bang—the man fired, blowing the security guard’s head clean off; patients, nurses, and doctors screamed and fled in the ensuing chaos.

The man aimed at a nurse at the front desk and pulled the trigger; shotgun pellets fired, killing the woman in the white nurse uniform. Her head and neck were reduced to splattered flesh, flying off as the headless corpse fell to the ground.

A doctor turned to run but was too slow; his entire back was blasted open by the bullets.

Surveying the mayhem in the hospital lobby and the red blood splattered on the glass, the old man sighed, took out a book, and wrote a few sentences with a fountain pen.

The flames on the man’s body turned purple, igniting wherever he went. Rather than burning, they transformed into wisps of mist, forming a magic summoning circle that began to erode the entire hospital.

A multitude of demons came to the human world through the teleportation arrays, then roaring, they infiltrated the frantic doctors and patients, demonizing them.

A young nurse screamed in terror as an ugly horned demon lunged at her.

The demon swiftly entered her mouth, and the young nurse immediately fell silent, losing consciousness. Her body began to swell, ripping through her uniform to reveal bare muscles until she grew three meters tall. Her skin transformed into scales, dripping saliva, and she wandered aimlessly.

The Japanese team was the first to arrive, but nobody dared enter the hospital, now shrouded in a pale red mist. The surrounding area of the hospital and most of the street had become a no-go zone, devoid of any citizen’s presence—those citizens had inhaled the mist emanating from hell before losing consciousness and were drawn towards the hospital, becoming demonized.

"Look at that," Aihara Chiharu tugged at the sleeve of the sakura girl and pointed to the pregnant woman lying on Main Street. She wanted to help but was afraid to.

"It’s pointless; she’s already dead," the sakura girl said calmly, thinking about how to carve out a path for survival under the pressure of the Chinese and American teams.

The American team had just arrived, as Tang Zheng’s group also reached the scene. The two groups weren’t hostile, but they were both on high alert.

Survivors of the strange incident in the hospital could see through the glass Main Entrance that the place was littered with corpses and soaked in blood; those who were still alive had already demonized, constantly roaring and making various sounds. A few seemed to notice the survivors on Main Street and slowly emerged.

"Prepare for combat!" Ten American soldiers immediately took cover behind Cars and set up their Firearms.

"Wait," the handsome, blond-haired American team leader stopped them, deciding against a hasty attack. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it on Qidian, your support is my greatest motivation.)
