Chapter 1053: Chapter 30 Demonization

Like a green giant transformed by gamma radiation, the buxom female secretary’s body suddenly swelled as she furiously lunged towards Tang Zheng. She ballooned to a towering three meters, her muscles bulging grotesquely without a hint of beauty.

Roaring with the loss of reason and consumed by murderous desire, the female secretary bellowed loudly as she hammered a fist towards Tang Zheng’s head.

Tang Zheng’s right fist struck hard, and as their fists collided, his body recoiled as if hit by a siege hammer, involuntarily stepping back.

After the secretary’s demonization, her physical strength and agility greatly increased. Her eyes were blood-red, her chest heaved intensely like a bellows, and white mist continuously sprayed from her nostrils.

Ratatatat, Pang Meiqin pulled out an Uzi submachine gun and opened fire. The bullets hit the demon secretary’s skin and, after sparking like a meteor, were repelled.

Tang Zheng didn’t take it head-on, he tapped the ground with his toes and darted away while drawing out an AT-4. He then aimed it sideways at the demon secretary who was in pursuit.

Boom, a rocket shell flew out, hitting the demon secretary square in the head, exploding into a burst of flames, but it only managed to stop her for a split second.

After her demonization, the secretary’s defensive power greatly increased. Her skin mutated, growing thick, crocodile-like scales that could withstand several rocket shells.

Martin was scared witless, staring blankly as the secretary wreaked havoc, only then remembering that he needed to run.

"You’re all going to die," Federer bellowed, his face full of gratification. Those pills were extorted by chance from a black market merchant; once humans swallowed them, they would demonize and then fiercely protect whoever fed them the pill. His position today was not just due to his own strength but also owed to these pills, which had helped him eliminate many rivals.

"You’re the one who’s going to die first!" Teng Yuangxiang aimed her gun at Federer and was about to pull the trigger when she heard Tang Zheng’s shout.

"I want her alive," Tang Zheng declared explosively, launching a punch that sent the demon secretary reeling back.

"You useless piece of shit, protect me!" Federer clutched his head and ran out of the office; as he passed a flower pot, he pulled out a handgun hidden inside.

Bang, bang, bang, Federer shot at Tang Zheng.

The secretary, with a mighty leap, left Tang Zheng and pounced towards Teng Yuangxiang, as holding a gun made her the number one target.

Teng Yuangxiang let out a cry of alarm and released a Soul Shatter. The brown-haired secretary who was still in a coma on the ground stood up and lunged at the demon secretary.

The demon secretary roared, grabbed the other secretary by the head, and swung her around, hurling her at Teng Yuangxiang.

Teng Yuangxiang dodged and fired back. The secretary was tossed onto the ground, her legs fractured, and blood spattered from bullet wounds.

"What a shame, a few more servants would have been great." Federer was pleased with the demon secretary’s dominating display, but the next second, he saw Tang Zheng dodge bullets, charge forward, and swing a punch toward him, turning his face white with fear.

"Save me!"

The demon secretary, holding the brown-haired secretary, rushed towards Tang Zheng, swinging her like a human flesh wolf-tooth club, her legs hammering down on him.

Boom, Tang Zheng swung out with a single arm to block, and the secretary’s legs shattered even more violently, skin ripped apart, blood spilling over her silk stockings.

Tang Zheng grabbed Federer by the head and smashed it against the wall.

As the lawyer pressed the gun muzzle against Tang Zheng’s stomach, before he could fire, his wrist was crushed, the handgun snatched away, and then the gun’s butt was swung into his mouth.

Federer spit out a mouthful of teeth, his entire dental structure loosened.

Hearing the commotion in the room, Sekiya Ganta opened the door only to see Tang Zheng tossing Federer out like a ragbag, followed by a sweeping kick that sent a demon flying.

Sekiya Ganta drew his submachine gun, stepped in, and opened fire on the demon, with Aoki Hiroshi following close behind. The two gangsters only glanced once before hiding aside; they did not dare to come in to face their death.

The demon secretary, holding the brown-haired secretary’s head in one hand and her right ankle in the other, savagely tore her in half and hurled the pieces towards the door to block others from entering.

"You don’t have to fight; guard the door," Tang Zheng, now entering the Third-order, began to exert himself, knowing that citizens would call the police and that they would arrive soon.

Sekiya Ganta nodded, turned around, and a leg sailed past his head, smashing against the wall, the high-heels falling off.

Tang Zheng leapt towards the demon secretary, swiped his wristwatch to pull out an axe, and chopped towards her head.

The demon secretary raised her armature to block. The axe struck it, sparking flames, and though the axe blade was blunted, to Tang Zheng’s brute force, it made little difference whether the blade was sharp or not.

Tang Zheng’s right leg shot out, hitting the demon secretary squarely in the stomach, sending it staggering backward with its guard wide open. He closed in swiftly, chopping towards its neck ferociously.

Pang Meiqin caught up to the fallen Federer, her left foot lashing out and shattering the lawyer’s gallbladder, causing him to spew fresh blood from his mouth.

The demon secretary’s body kept bursting with blood, wailing in agony as it tried to attack Tang Zheng. However, every attempt was blocked and met with an even fiercer counterattack.

Tang Zheng joined his fingers together like a blade and thrust them into the demon secretary’s mouth, hooking its upper jaw, followed by a windmill dunk that sent it smashing into the ground with a whoosh.

Crash—the floor shattered, and the two of them fell through. Tang Zheng flipped his left hand, produced a dagger, and stabbed it into its eye socket.

Had weapons not been restricted, Tang Zheng would have killed the demon long ago. Even so, it took him only twenty seconds.

The room was empty, sparing Tang Zheng the trouble of using the Memory Eraser. He powered his legs and with his hands hooked onto the ceiling, he jumped up.

"Yuanxiang, control him. After dealing with the police, make it a free fall style suicide." Tang Zheng walked over to Federer, about to check why he made his female secretary turn into a demon, when Pang Meiqin tossed him a transparent bottle containing nine blue granules.

"Demon pills, a Level A prop, can demonize ordinary people, significantly enhancing their combat power and defense, equivalent to twenty times that of an adult, and lasts for three minutes of combat before dying due to bodily exhaustion."

"My puppets can’t be controlled from too far away, a hundred meters at most." Teng Yuangxiang didn’t want to stay here; it was too dangerous.

"Leave a suicide note, then strip him bare and have him climb to the rooftop. After attracting the citizens’ attention, take a leap of faith." Federer had great energy, useful for future plans. However, his vengeful nature made him untrustworthy to Tang Zheng, and time was pressing, leaving no room for coercive tactics, "Forget it, I’ll just find another target."

"Meiqin, you and Yuanxiang set up the suicide scene, then go wait outside for me." Tang Zheng picked up Martin and handed him over to Sekiya Ganta, "Take him and leave. I’ll go retrieve the surveillance tapes."

Five minutes later, the group met outside the building, hurriedly departed, unnoticed by anyone as all eyes were drawn to the mangled Corpse on the road, attracting a crowd of onlookers.

Once again back at Martin’s shabby law office, Tang Zheng and his group drank a cup of coffee. The eccentric lawyer had yet to calm down, sitting in his chair in a daze, his hands shaking incessantly.

Teng Yuangxiang walked over to Martin, grabbed his tie, and gave him a hard slap across the face.

Martin’s lips cracked, oozing a trace of fresh blood. However, he didn’t get angry. Instead, he seemed to snap back to his senses, even showing a slight trace of excitement.

"How long do you plan to make me wait?" Watching Martin startle awake, Tang Zheng sitting behind the office desk complained irritably before tossing the legal archives onto it.

"Sorry, boss." Martin gritted his teeth, his expression resolute, as if he hadn’t witnessed any of the earlier demon encounters, behaving like nothing had happened.

"That’s good. Since this identity is perfect, your job now is to help me find a position as a policeman," Tang Zheng said with a cold gaze at Martin, "No problem, right?"

Martin hesitated, not out of refusal but in contemplation whether he could secure such a position with his own influence.

Tang Zheng nodded. If Martin had agreed instantly, he would have definitely killed this unreliable man and looked for another spokesperson. The fact that Martin was thinking it over showed that he valued these matters. By not questioning the incident with the demons, it also meant he had boarded this ship.

"We’re supposed to be accumulating Sin Points, right? What are you doing becoming a policeman for? Isn’t that contradictory? Or are you actually planning to be a crusader against evil?" The gangster, who hadn’t exerted any effort earlier for fear of being held accountable by Tang Zheng, hurriedly started a topic to show his concern for the team.

"Tang Zheng, this seems futile. No matter how hard you try, you’ll just be a lowly officer with no power, at most bullying hooligans. Besides, we are already capable of bullying hooligans," Teng Yuangxiang expressed her confusion, not believing that becoming a policeman would allow Sin Points to accumulate faster.

"I’m conducting an experiment. If possible, I’ll bring all of you into the police station." Wearing the guise of justice to commit wrongdoing, Tang Zheng felt such a contrast would allow Sin Points to inflate more quickly. Of course, once he became a policeman, he could carry out his plans. Engaging in petty schemes wasn’t his style.

"You’re the group leader; your word is law," Teng Yuangxiang said sullenly. Knowing Tang Zheng would be a policeman and naturally not with them as often, they would lose many opportunities to bond.

"Be careful with everything," Pang Meiqin instead expressed concern for Tang Zheng, showing a rare glimpse of womanly tenderness.

"Martin, have you made up your mind?" With Federer definitely having accumulated a lot of wealth, it was a missed opportunity not to take some. Tang Zheng could foresee that if he became an officer and wanted to climb the ranks, achievements alone wouldn’t suffice; he would need a lot of money to pave the way.

"Done, I’ll do it. I can make you a policeman within a week," Martin bit his lower lip, taking the plunge because he no longer wanted to live a miserable life.

"Too slow, one day. I’ll give you one day," Tang Zheng said. If only Teng Yuangxiang’s powers weren’t so weak, she could have controlled the director of the police station to sign his appointment.

"Alright, I can do it, but I need US dollars, a large amount," Martin said.

"Since we’re not taking Federer’s, you’ll benefit," Tang Zheng said, producing the leather suitcase filled with US dollars and tossing it onto the table, with several bundles of bills caught in the gap of the suitcase due to the rushed packing.
