Chapter 318: Growth Booster 5.0
For his professions, Xiang Yu was a little disappointed.
Unlike his cooking profession which had completely abandoned the whole ingredient grade requirement after reaching the heavenly grade, instead relying purely on qi enhancement, blacksmithing and alchemy still had this limitation.
To craft items at the heavenly grade, he would still need heavenly grade resources.
While he was disappointed that he couldn’t start mass-producing heavenly level items right away, he didn’t let it get to him.
After speaking nicely to the world core, it had revealed to him the locations of many natural treasures and resources scattered across the world. Xiang Yu was planning to go out using his clone to steal—no, to keep them safe.
They didn’t have an owner anyway so what did it matter if he took a few (all of them)?
Still, with this world being relatively low level, there weren’t that many treasures that would actually reach the heavenly grade. He supposed he would have to make do with what was available for now.
The rest of his professions were progressing nicely though.
His medicine and spirit farmer skills had both broken through to the third grade during the day and now he was receiving the full insights. Same for his researcher profession that had advanced to the fourth grade during the day.
He noticed that the researcher profession was actually past the halfway point now and might advance again during the day or after the next reset. It seemed like it was finally starting to pick up pace. Well, it made sense, after all, he was practically a full-time researcher now, and he planned to use the profession even more extensively going forward.
Feeling satisfied with the results of the day’s progress, Xiang Yu closed the system screen and turned his attention inward.
Inside his spiritual sea, Xiang Yu’s soul appeared in its natural monster form, floating above the vast ocean that stretched out in all directions with no visible end.
Xiang Yu was deep in concentration, and as he focused his mind, he found himself thinking about what a shame it really was. With his mind at level ten, his spiritual sea had expanded to the level of a Mahayana realm cultivator. With this sort of massive reservoir of qi at his disposal, he could accomplish so much more than he currently was.
However, he remained limited by his current cultivation realm.
Without reaching the Nascent Soul realm where the core would enter the spiritual sea and the meridians would begin drawing qi directly from the spiritual sea instead of the dantian, it was quite inefficient to actually use the qi stored in his spiritual sea.
Even if he managed to transform this spiritual sea qi into true qi, it might not necessarily improve his combat power by much.
Currently, his spiritual sea functioned more like a massive hard drive with enormous storage capacity but limited access speed. His core, on the other hand, was like RAM, much smaller in terms of total qi capacity, but the qi could be accessed much more quickly and was ready for immediate combat use.
For the qi in his spiritual sea, it could only be used effectively for tasks like secondary professions that required substantial resources but didn’t necessarily need lightning-fast access speeds. These were activities that took time to complete anyway. But for something like actual combat, where split-second timing and instant qi access were crucial, the spiritual sea wasn’t nearly as reliable or practical.
Even so, he still wanted to create true qi from his spiritual sea’s vast reserves. Who knew? He might eventually find a way to bridge the gap between his core and spiritual sea, allowing him to access that enormous power during combat. Or even more impressively, he might finally be able to start building his bridge for the Soul and Body Integration realm.
With his spiritual sea being so incredibly huge, he wouldn’t mind a head start.

Wood clone Xiang Yu moved through his garden, tending to the spiritual herbs.
As he worked, his thoughts drifted to the heavenly grade formation he had been eagerly anticipating. He had been waiting for its installation specifically so he could unleash his Growth Booster 5.0 but the results were disappointing to say the least.
Even after the formation upgrade, the qi concentration had barely increased, just about matching the level of a first grade formation. What made it worse was that he could feel the energy slowly declining over time.
He attributed this to the world being in mortal danger.
Before, the Central Continent had been siphoning qi to their own lands, but they had still left some spiritual energy for the rest of the world to survive on. It was selfish, but at least it was sustainable.
Now, however, the treasure had fallen into the wrong hands, someone who didn’t care at all about the world’s wellbeing and was using the artifact to devour all the energy of the world without any consideration for the consequences.
The situation was becoming increasingly dire. They really needed to solve this problem soon.
Well, at least he could still rely on his personal spirit vein which continued generating energy. In fact, it was now about a quarter of the way through to upgrading once again. He had paused using the high-end resources on it though as he was planning on crafting a heavenly grade weapon for himself first.
He had decided to upgrade the spirit vein later once his clone had recovered the resources from outside.
Pushing those thoughts aside, he focused on the task at hand.
It was time for him to use his Growth Booster 5.0.
After receiving the valuable herbs from the demon god’s treasury, he had selected some and planted them throughout his garden. Through extensive research, he had even managed to create some strange hybrid breeds of herbs that he also planted.
For the first and second grade herbs, they each received a twenty-five and fifty percent growth boost respectively. However, Xiang Yu couldn’t properly estimate their growth duration since they hadn’t even begun to sprout yet. He guessed it would still take more than three months even with all the benefits his techniques provided.
Well, this was to be expected with such high-grade spiritual plants.
Moving on, the third grade herbs received a hundred percent boost and could now be harvested once every one to two months. As for the fourth grade ones, they received a two hundred percent boost and could now be harvested daily.
For the fifth grade herbs that could already be harvested daily, they received a four hundred percent boost and could now be harvested multiple times throughout the day.

Quick thing I thought I’d add. Don’t worry, guo zhengming is fine. After Li Yao transformed back to her base state, she didn’t care about him anymore and just threw him away, he’s in the sect barrier though, prolly unconscious and being eaten by mosquitos but he can handle it.
