Yang Gang was leisurely driving his Lamborghini, intending to pick up Tong Xin and accompany her to school.

Since the Tong family had refused to hold an engagement ceremony, this was Yang Gang’s way of declaring his engagement to Tong Xin, a symbolic gesture of their commitment.

When Yang Gang arrived at the Tong family’s villa on the hillside, Tong Jun and Tong Xin were already waiting for him.

Tong Jun, as always, wore a cold expression on his face.

Yang Gang mocked himself, "Oh, my soon-to-be father-in-law clearly doesn’t like me. It makes sense though. I outsmarted Tong Jun last time at the Tong’s place and nearly took advantage of his precious daughter at the bar. No wonder he never smiles at me."

Then, Yang Gang turned to look at Tong Xin and suddenly, his heart jolted.

Her eyes were red and swollen, an apparent sign that she had been crying for a long time.

"Go on," said Tong Jun, his gaze full of remorse as he looked at Tong Xin. He seemed to understand that this marriage to the Yang family had caused his beloved daughter to suffer.

Tong Xin didn’t say a word. She just lowered her head and sat in Yang Gang’s Lamborghini.

Yang Gang started the car, Tong Xin turned to look out of the window, and neither of them spoke.

After a while, Yang Gang glanced at Tong Xin’s swollen eyes and casually said, "You seem to have had a rough night crying."

Tong Xin remained silent.

Yang Gang added, "You really do like Huang Tianlin, don’t you?"

Tong Xin just turned her head away and remained silent.

After a moment of contemplation, Yang Gang spoke again, "It’s okay, you can keep liking Huang Tianlin."

Tong Xin was momentarily stunned, she turned to see Yang Gang and said with a pitiful tone, "But we’re engaged now. If I continue to have feelings for another man, what will people think of me? They will certainly label me as a flirtatious woman."

Yang Gang chuckled, "Believe me, not only will they not mock you, but they might even encourage your behavior."

"How is that possible?!" Tong Xin looked at him in full disbelief.

Just then, Yang Gang abruptly pulled the car over, turned to look at Tong Xin and said, "Miss Tong, please get out of the car."

Tong Xin was puzzled, looking around, they were in the middle of nowhere...

"What do you mean?" Tong Xin asked.

With a smile spreading on his face, Yang Gang replied, "Did you see that cute girl up ahead? I want to hit on her. Having a disinterested fiancée in the car while doing that would definitely be a hindrance. You wouldn’t want to be a third wheel, right?"

Tong Xin looked ahead to see a plain, demure-looking girl a few meters away, eyeing the Lamborghini.

"I remember, that girl is Shen Jing, the woman Gao Qifeng is attracted to."

Tong Xin returned to reality, extremely enraged, "Yang Gang! You’ve crossed the line!"

Yang Gang retorted, "Why should I be polite to a fiancée who has feelings for another man? Enough with the whining, get out of the car."

With tears welling up in her eyes, Tong Xin managed to hold them back from falling.

She opened the car door, got out, and then slammed it shut.

Undeterred, Yang Gang drove the car to Shen Jing’s side and said, "Shen Jing, let me give you a lift to school."

Shen Jing looked over to where Tong Xin stood a few meters away, nodded her head, and got in the car.

Yang Gang immediately started the Lamborghini and drove away.

Tong Xin watched the Lamborghini gradually fade in the distance, feeling both angry and hurt.

Just then, a Bugatti sports car drove up from behind.

The Bugatti stopped next to Tong Xin, and a man possessing stature and good looks got out, "Tong Xin? What are you doing here?"

It was none other than the most eligible bachelor of the university, Huang Tianlin.

Seeing Huang Tianlin, Tong Xin’s emotional dam finally broke, tears streamed down her face.

Huang Tianlin, seeing the corners of Tong Xin’s eyes red from crying, asked anxiously, "Tong Xin, what happened?"

Tong Xin looked at Huang Tianlin, "If I call off the wedding, will you marry me?"

Huang Tianlin looked embarrassed, "Well..."

Tong Xin sighed, "I was just joking, everyone knows you like Yang Fei."

Just then, a BMW 7-series car also drove up from behind and came to a stop next to Huang Tianlin’s Bugatti. The car window rolled down and a beautiful face appeared.

It was Yang Fei.

"What’s going on?" Yang Fei inquired.

Seeing Yang Fei, Huang Tianlin worried she might misunderstand and quickly explained Yang Gang’s scandalous behavior of abandoning Tong Xin from his car to pursue Shen Jing.

Upon hearing the story, Yang Fei was also visibly annoyed.

"What the heck is Yang Gang thinking? Not only is he provoking the Tong family, but he clearly knows Shen Jing is the woman Gao Qifeng likes, yet he still insists on causing trouble."

Then Huang Tianlin added, "Fei Fei, you really need to do something about Yang Gang. Shen Jing is the woman Gao Qifeng likes. Gao Qifeng is obsessively possessive. If Yang Gang continues to provoke him, who knows what extreme actions he might take."

"Yes, I understand," Yang Fei, realizing the gravity of the situation, concurred. Gao Qifeng changed his playboy ways in the past two years solely for Shen Jing. Before Shen Jing, Gao Qifeng was known as a playboy and a degenerate rich young master, rivaling Ling Yunfei. Eventually, Tong Xin chose not to ride with Huang Tianlin, but instead went with Yang Fei in her BMW.

"Yang Gang, I heard you got engaged to Tong Xin?" Shen Jing suddenly asked.

"Yes," Yang Gang replied indifferently.

Shen Jing glanced at Yang Gang, a cryptic thought crossed her mind. She gently began, "Yang Gang, you purposely drove Tong Xin off the car because you saw Huang Tianlin’s car following behind us, didn’t you? You deliberately demeaned yourself and portrayed yourself as a rascal, an irresponsible hedonist. It was to earn everyone’s sympathy for Tong Xin, wasn’t it? This way, in the future, if Tong Xin decides to break off the engagement, everyone will be on her side."

Yang Gang looked at Shen Jing in surprise, chuckled and said, "Seems like I can’t hide anything from you."

Shen Jing stared at Yang Gang with a complicated expression, "Why does your care for others always come at your own expense?"

Yang Gang offering a faint smile, "What does it matter? After all, no one cares."
