Imposter Young Master
Chapter 447 - 450: It’s Not That Kind of Cute Thing_1

Chapter 447: Chapter 450: It’s Not That Kind of Cute Thing_1

Yang Gang pondered carefully but found nothing notable.

Just then, a voice suddenly rang out behind him: "Yang Gang, what are you doing?"

This voice...

Yang Gang turned his head around.

There stood a beautiful girl behind him, who was none other than his ex-fiancé Tong Xin.

"Ah, there are two beautiful girls ahead. I was thinking about whether to go over and strike up a conversation," said Yang Gang.

Tong Xin glanced at Su Xiaoxi and Zhang Miao, then snorted and said, "Don’t daydream. Goddesses of that caliber aren’t within reach of a small-town playboy like you."

Well, that felt a little abrupt.

Tong Xin gave Yang Gang another look, hesitated slightly, then finally said, "Yang Gang, you seem to be free, wanna come with me to watch the sea?"

Yang Gang considered for a moment and, having nothing else to do, agreed: "Ok, sounds good."

Instead of taking a car, they took the bus to the seaside.

The autumn afternoon sun was warm, and there weren’t many tourists on the beach.

Yang Gang and Tong Xin were sitting on a bench on the beach, squinting their eyes in the sun, feeling the warm breeze. It was such a pleasant feeling.

"Yang Gang, have you regretted breaking up our arranged marriage?" Tong Xin suddenly said.

She kept her eyes closed, looking up.

"Wasn’t it your family who called off the marriage first?" said Yang Gang, also not opening his eyes.

"Oh, that’s right." After a moment of silence, Tong Xin chuckled and said, "You know, I used to really hate you."

"No surprise there. I tend to rub people the wrong way. It’s a pretty common occurrence for me to be disliked."

"But then, after spending time with you, I realized that you’re actually a decent person," Tong Xin added.

"Thanks for the compliment."

Tong Xin opened her eyes, sitting up straight as she gazed into the sea and said softly, "Perhaps I’ve missed out on happiness."

"Huh?" Yang Gang also opened his eyes to look at Tong Xin, "That’s quite a leap in thinking. Have you been dumped? By whom?"

Tong Xin rolled her eyes, "How could I be dumped without a boyfriend?"

Yang Gang chuckled, and as if something dawned on him, he then asked, "By the way, Tong Xin, how are you getting along with Aunt Ruo right now?"

"Well, it’s much better now. I can feel that she truly loves my dad. That’s enough for me," Tong Xin replied.

[Note: In the previous Chapters, the author mistakenly wrote Chen Ruo as Chen Nuo, apologies for the confusion.]

Yang Gang patted Tong Xin’s head and smiled, "That’s right."

After spending a little more time at the beach, Tong Xin got up, stretched and said, "Yang Gang, it’s still early. Would you like to go shopping with me?"

"OK."

The pedestrian street was a bustling commercial street in Hangcheng, with many large stores and upscale restaurants.

Yang Gang had been accompanying Tong Xin for nearly two hours and was beginning to feel tired.

Seeing that Tong Xin was still full of energy and showed no signs of fatigue, Yang Gang felt a profound admiration for the female species.

"Walking for an hour leaves you gasping for breath, but shopping for five hours and you’re still full of pep. Women truly are extraordinary creatures."

Although Tong Xin was a bit aloof at times, she had a discerning eye. Noticeing Yang Gang’s fatigue, she offered, "That should do for today. How about I buy you coffee, and we rest a bit?"

"Sure, where to?" replied Yang Gang.

Scanning around, Tong Xin pointed at the Ouno Cafe across the street, saying, "Over there. Hey, Yang Gang, don’t you think those two people look familiar?"

Yang Gang took a glance and broke out in a cold sweat.

A Mercedes parked in front of the Ouno Cafe, and a man and a woman got out of the car, chatting and laughing as they walked into the cafe.

Those two were: the man, Yang Gang’s cheap old man, Yang Lin; the woman, Tong Xin’s stepmom, and Tong Jun’s wife, Chen Ruo.

"Hahaha, there must be some misunderstanding," Yang Gang said.

An angry expression flashed across Tong Xin’s face: "What misunderstanding! Chen Ruo, she actually.. Hmmm! I always suspected that Chen Nuo had an inappropriate relationship with your dad, but I didn’t expect them to really be having an affair!"

Yang Gang profusely sweated: "Well, it’s just drinking coffee and chatting. It’s not that serious, right? Besides, Auntie Ruo and my mother are bosom friends.."

Tong Xin turned her head and glared at him, retorting: "Have you forgotten? My mom and Chen Ruo are also bosom friends!"

Puff!

There was no room for rebuttal.

He glanced at the coffee shop across the street with a spasm of fear in his heart: "Could it be that Old Master Yang and Chen Ruo are really having an affair? Emma, can’t this plot be less clichéd? Old Master Yang, can’t you keep some decency? If you keep preaching to me in this state, how am I supposed to believe you?"

Due to Yang Gang being ’kidnapped’, Yang Lin temporarily returned home from the detention center. In a short time, Yang Lin was already aware of Yang Gang’s several attempts of misconduct towards Yang Fei, which provoked his immense anger.

Out of concern for his family’s reputation, Yang Lin maintained a harmonious exterior with Yang Gang, but deep inside, he was seething with anger.

Yang Gang was well aware of this.

In between his secret speculations, Tong Xin, puffing in anger, was about to rush forward.

Yang Gang hastily ran ahead and restrained Tong Xin: "Tong Xin, what do you think you’re doing?"

"Obviously, I’m about to expose Chen Ruo’s hypocrisy and promiscuous nature! And your dad, he’s no saint either!" Tong Xin seethed. She was upset because her father, Tong Jun, was being taken advantage of.

Yang Gang was covered in sweat: "Listen, Tong Xin, you are a university student. Can’t you use your brain a bit? Does having a coffee mean someone is having an affair? You need evidence, you know?"

After pausing for a moment, he added, "Let’s go to Ouno Cafe too. We can eavesdrop on what they are talking about."

Tong Xin thought about it and nodded her head in agreement.

So, they quietly slipped into the Ouno Cafe and found Chen Ruo and Yang Lin.

The pair were seated in a booth by the window, sipping coffee while chatting.

While their behavior was socially acceptable with no intimate physical contact, the brilliant smiles on their faces painted a subtly ambiguous atmosphere.

"Old Yang, I’m serious. Ning Lu has been dead for twenty years now, your kids are all grown up, it’s about time you found someone else. If you’re worried about her hunting your wealth, you might as well transfer all your wealth to Yang Gang. He will inherit it sooner or later anyway."

Yang Lin decisively shook his head: "That won’t work."

"Are you truly planning to remain a ’widower’ for Ning Lu your entire life?" Chen Ruo sipped her coffee and asked.

"No, it’s not that. I mean, I can’t give all my assets to Yang Gang." Yang Lin replied.

"Why not? You only have one son, Yang Gang. If not him, then who?" Chen Ruo said, puzzled.

"Um..." Yang Lin paused, then said with amusement: "I also have two daughters. I think it’s better to leave wealth to daughters. Leaving it to a son could easily lead to squandering."

Pff!

From their hiding place, Yang Gang could read Yang Lin’s words by his lip movements.

"This sly and cunning old man, speaking in such a high and mighty way. Isn’t it all because I’m just an impostor of a young master?!"

"Leave it to whoever you want, as long as you feel comfortable with your decision." Chen Ruo paused, and then chuckled: "Old Yang, do you have the intention of remarrying? Just give me an answer."

"Uh..." Lost in thoughts for a moment, Yang Lin answered: "Your friend.."

Just then, Yang Lin seemed to sense something and glanced in the direction of Yang Gang and Tong Xin.

Noticing this, Tong Xin quickly ducked down.

Their hiding place was small, only enough to fully hide one person. If Tong Xin hid inside, it meant Yang Gang had nowhere to hide.

They made eye contact.

Yang Lin calmly withdrew his gaze and took a small sip of his coffee.

Since Chen Ruo was facing away from Yang Gang and Tong Xin, she didn’t see them.

However, she noticed something strange about Yang Lin’s gaze and asked, "Old Yang, what’s the matter?"

"Oh, just saw something unpleasant." Yang Lin replied.

"Oh, was it a mouse?" Chen Ruo jumped with fright.

Yang Lin took another sip of his coffee, then replied calmly, "No, it was not that adorable creature."
