Chapter 440: Chapter 443 - A Common Problem Among Men_1

The speaker was a man about Yang Gang’s age, and he was very handsome. So much so, Yang Gang found it hard to describe just how handsome he was with his limited vocabulary. All he could say was that this man was even more handsome than Young Master Yang, on par with He Deng.

Unlike He Deng’s mature aura, this man possessed a precious quality that was even more admirable.

Pure and elegant.

He stood there, giving off a vibe that reminded people of a refined, ancient-style gentleman. His clear, hearty laugh gave off an incredibly comfortable feeling. To women, he must seem like a healing angel.

However, Yang Gang felt extremely uncomfortable, as if facing a formidable enemy.

Gu Xiaorou turned to look at the man, as if trying to recall something.

"Xiaorou, it’s me, Gu Feng." The man laughed.

Pfft!

Yang Gang frowned, "What the heck?! His name is really Gu Feng?! I hate guys with the surname Gu!"

Hearing the name, Gu Xiaorou finally realized who he was and exclaimed in surprise. "Gu Feng, it’s really you. We haven’t seen each other for seven years and you’ve become so handsome that I didn’t recognize you right away. I’m sorry."

Pfft!

Yang Gang felt like the blood drained from his face.

Why is it that after being together day and night for seven years, you’ve never complimented my looks?

It’s not fair!

Wait...

Something occurred to Yang Gang.

"Could this guy be the childhood sweetheart that Gu Xiaorou mentioned before?"

Once upon a time, during a conversation about childhood sweethearts between Yang Gang and Gu Xiaorou, she mentioned that she had a male friend from childhood who had once said something about marrying her when they grew up.

At the time, Yang Gang, feeling inexplicably irritable, brusquely said to Gu Xiaorou, "Fine, fine, I hope you reunite with your childhood sweetheart soon and have a happy marriage!"

Returning to reality, Yang Gang looked at the man called Gu Feng and felt a sense of collapse.

"Damn it! I was only joking. Could this Gu Feng really be Gu Xiaorou’s childhood sweetheart?!"

However, Yang Fei looked quite pleased. She glanced at Gu Xiaorou and Gu Feng before teasing, "Xiaorou, is he your boyfriend? Wow, he’s really handsome."

Gu Xiaorou laughed nervously, "A boyfriend you don’t recognize at first sight?"

She paused for a moment, pointed at Gu Feng and added, "He’s a childhood friend of mine. I guess you could say we were childhood sweethearts. We haven’t seen each other for seven years."

"Oh, childhood sweethearts, huh? That sounds like a perfect match. And reuniting after being separated for seven years? What a romantic story." Yang Fei giggled.

Gu Xiaorou, feeling subconscious, stole a glance at Yang Gang. Seeing that he was still turning his head away, she quickly looked back, laughing lightly, "Feifei, don’t make things up. Gu Feng might have a girlfriend already.."

"I don’t actually," Gu Feng responded with a clear, refreshing smile, "I remember the promise we made when we were kids."

Yang Fei curiously asked, "Oh, what promise?"

"We agreed to marry each other when we grew up," Gu Feng said, smiling gently.

Pfft!

Gu Xiaorou was taken aback, thinking, "Hey, that was your unilateral promise!"

Again, she couldn’t help but glance at Yang Gang, who still had his head turned.

Before Gu Xiaorou could get a word out, Gu Feng laughed and said, "Of course, I will woo Xiaorou again. Now that fate has brought us back together, I will do my best to seize this opportunity and make up for the seven years I’ve been absent."

"Gu Feng, actually, I..."

"You’re still single, right? At least currently, otherwise why would you come to a blind date? I was dragged here by my friend. But I didn’t expect to meet you here. It must be fate, right?"

"Enough! Could you show your affection in a place where it’s just the two of you?" Just then, Yang Gang suddenly shouted in frustration.

After saying this, he stormed off.

"Hahaha, it’s the common problem with men. Every month they have a few days when they get upset and act like a spoiled child. I’ll go after him. Xiaorou, you haven’t seen Gu Feng for many years, you guys should catch up." After finishing her sentence, Yang Fei went after Yang Gang.

Gu Xiaorou watched Yang Gang’s retreating figure, her gaze flickering. She wanted to chase after him, but in the end, she couldn’t take a step.

"Who is that?" Gu Feng asked, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes.

"A friend. A very important friend," Gu Xiaorou answered faintly, still watching Yang Gang’s retreating figure.

"Oh, I’d like to meet him sometime, being your friend and all," Gu Feng said.

Gu Xiaorou didn’t respond.

---

On the other side.

No matter how much Yang Fei tried, she couldn’t catch up to Yang Gang, even injuring her ankle in the process.

Yang Fei squatted on the ground, rubbing her left ankle, and yelled towards Yang Gang’s disappearing figure, "I’ve twisted my ankle!"

As soon as her words fell, a number of suitors immediately flocked to her side.

Caught off guard by their sudden approach, just as Yang Fei was racked with uncertainty about what to do, a path was abruptly carved through the crowd, and Yang Gang made his return.

He stood in front of Yang Fei and coldly swept a glance at the gathering crowd, "Get lost, all of you."

With his murderous aura on display, everyone’s faces paled and they promptly dispersed.

Only then did Yang Gang retract his murderous gaze, squatting down to examine Yang Fei’s foot, asking, "Which foot is twisted?"

"This one," Yang Fei extended her left foot.

The last time she twisted her ankle, it was Yang Gang who had treated it.

As Yang Gang gripped Yang Fei’s foot, he paused, then lifted his gaze and instructed, "Take off your black stockings. With them on, I can’t find the pressure points and won’t be able to properly set the bone."

Yang Fei’s cheeks flushed scarlet, she glanced around before breaking down, "You can’t expect me to take off my stockings in public!"

"I never said you had to undress here. We can find a secluded spot. This is a big ranch, so there are bound to be places where no one will see," Yang Gang explained.

Face flushed, Yang Fei questioned, "You, you don’t have any strange ideas, do you?"

Yang Gang clapped Yang Fei on the head, replying in an irritated tone, "What on earth are you thinking? Quickly, hop on my back, and we’ll find a deserted place."

With that, Yang Gang turned his back to Yang Fei and squatted down.

"Oh." Yang Fei was compliant, climbing onto Yang Gang’s back without protest.

Yang Gang then carried Yang Fei away.

While nestled on Yang Gang’s back, Yang Fei stole looks at his sharp facial profile, feeling her heartbeat accelerate for some unfathomable reason.

"Hey, hey, what’s...what’s going on?!"

As abruptly as her heartbeat had spiked, it vanished just as suddenly.

Still on Yang Gang’s back, Yang Fei’s lips moved as if she wanted to say something, and finally she asked, "Gangzi, do you...like Gu Xiaorou?"

"Maybe. I’m not really sure about my own feelings," Yang Gang answered indifferently.

A flicker of an inexplicably complex emotion flashed through Yang Fei’s eyes. After a brief pause, she asked again, "And what about your fiancée? Do you like her?"

"Yes," Yang Gang instantly answered.

Yang Fei’s face turned dark.

Before she could reply, Yang Gang added, "And I like you too."

Yang Fei’s expression darkened even more. "Are you plotting to create a harem? Don’t you find having your sister in it strange?!"

Yang Gang candidly countered, "Is it strange? Can’t include my sister in my harem? Isn’t that what it means to be a siscon?"

Yang Fei grabbed Yang Gang’s ear, "You’re absolutely incorrigible! Maybe I should take you to a psychologist one of these days? I think you have some serious mental issues."

Just then, Yang Gang interrupted Yang Fei’s rant excitedly, "Mm...this place is nice. It’s secluded, and there’s a fruit orchard around for cover. Go ahead, Feifei, undress."
