Chapter 104: Chapter 83: Martial Arts School (Pian Ru He’s Jade +)_2

Zhou Ran also didn’t dare to try to soothe Qian Shuangyu anymore, feeling a chill run down his spine.

After a while, Boss Qian only said one sentence.

"Zhou Ran, get the hell out of here! Shuangyu, if you want to follow him... get out too!"

The outcome was natural, Zhou Ran got out, and Qian Shuangyu, tearfully reluctant to part with her lover... refused to budge an inch.

The next day, Wang Pu was brought to Second High School, led by Gao Wei, and with Bai Feng having given advance notice, the transfer procedure went very smoothly.

And Sui Yi faced the second day of the exam...

After the exam had ended, a few days passed and the mock test scores from the various colleges had not yet come out. It seemed as if the teachers had agreed to tantalizingly hang the students in suspense, leaving the top students dangling on the brink of life and death, and the underachievers longing for release.

However, before that, that is, on Friday afternoon before school was out, the teachers finally relented, announcing that the results would be released the following Monday.

Released next Monday? Doesn’t that mean waiting another two days?

Fortunately, since the exams had just ended, the newly-appointed principal, in response to the Education Bureau’s calls for quality education, unusually gave the grade 12 students a day off, which meant both Saturday and Sunday were holidays.

"Oh God, how many years has it been since we had Saturday and Sunday off..." Little Fatty Zhou and the others sighed repeatedly. Indeed, high school is universally recognized as the most difficult stage in a Chinese student’s academic career, waking up earlier than chickens, as tired as donkeys, feeling like dogs once the exam results came out.

And this state was even beginning to seep down into middle school.

Alas~~

"But next Monday is also the day of the basketball game, right..." Little Fatty Zhou and the others were quite hopeful for Yu Hang and his team to win.

Compared to Han Yuanchong’s crowd of haughty and arrogant people.

Sui Yi smiled without responding to Little Fatty Zhou and the others. In fact, these past few days she had paid little attention to the whereabouts of Yu Hang and the others. Yhan Qingwu had said she was a typical example of a hands-off manager.

Shopkeeper? Maybe Miss Yhan had noticed something.

In fact, what occupied Sui Yi’s mind now... was the matter of this coming Saturday.

----------

On Saturday, bright and early, Sui Yi and Ah A arrived at the gates of an ancient, charming manor.

Unlike a traditional courtyard manor, this place clearly had a more profound and grand atmosphere, with many compartments inside from where resounding shouts and calls could be heard.

Sui Yi looked at the plaque with the words "martial arts school" hanging on it.

Martial arts school?

Just these two words as the name possessed the breadth of spirit that embraced all martial styles—a truly magnificent show of pride!

During the journey here, Ah A had told Sui Yi that he discovered this martial arts school a few days ago by accident. Interested in the subject, he had come to take a look and felt lucky after doing so.

The martial arts school was actually opened not too long ago. The reason for its fame was its owner, Shi Yunkai, a well-known master of martial techniques from the Provincial City. Drenched in Martial Arts for over fifty years, he had even once been received by the national president and was one of the few renowned Martial Artists in China today. Though he was now over sixty years old, his martial vigor remained undiminished. Many of his disciples had become famous martial arts instructors across the country, with some even establishing new factions and schools on their own.

However, uniformly, they all used the name of the martial arts school, because Shi Yunkai’s first school was named that.

Shi Yunkai, after all, was getting on in years and wanted to stay rooted in his native soil, so he returned to his hometown, Nanxun, and consequently, he opened a martial arts school there. His aim wasn’t anything else, just the wish to pass down his martial techniques in his hometown.

As a result, Nanxun saw the opening of a martial arts school, which, at the time of its inauguration, drew figures from across the Provincial City to celebrate. It was a significant event for Nanxun back then, but Sui Yi had gone home for a visit and had therefore missed out and not heard of it.

This led to her first visit to the place today.

After listening to Ah A, Sui Yi’s originally calm heart grew somewhat expectant.

There are no mediocre people under great reputation; Elder Shi should also have some genuine foundation, she thought.

"I’ll take you to register first. The school accepts anyone who is earnest and persistent, and you just have to pay the fee,"

From first hearing it, it seemed like a scheme just to amass money, but Sui Yi felt this was the true intention behind it.

Just like the two vertical words beneath the signboard.

On the left — Martial arts practice for physical health, moral cultivation, peace, and tranquility of mind.

On the right — Martial Artists who are unyielding, righteous, never bending or breaking.

How many still possess such a spirit nowadays, in the great dye vat of society?

The environment has a great impact on people, and Sui Yi has always believed that, regardless of the country, the strongest quality always belonged to the military. The reason is the deep-rooted training and the constant influence of belief, ingrained into the marrow, becoming a habit, naturally forming a strong and resilient character.

In short, wimpish students thrust into the military for a year, if they survive without mental distortion, mostly turn out to be a good sort upon leaving.

Martial arts practice is similar—Martial Arts, able to calm the mind, able to strengthen one’s character.

Although Sui Yi was a girl and a bit unusual, her figure and root bone seemed decent. The middle-aged instructor only glanced at her once and was somewhat surprised as he felt her bones,

"Have you practiced before, young lady?"

"Sort of," Sui Yi thought about what she had seen on TV and supposed that counted...

"That’s good. Your bones are quite pliable and distinct, you seem to have good material. If you have the perseverance, you could learn well,"

Although the middle-aged man was surprised by the softness and clarity of Sui Yi’s bones, he didn’t make much of it. First, because Sui Yi was attractive and most pretty girls can’t endure hardship, and second, because there were very few girls who took this path.

He didn’t really take it to heart.

He simply handed over a form, "Fill it out, pay the tuition, and that’s all..."

"Here, Sui Yi, the tuition is two thousand for one year,"

Two thousand for a year, truly not expensive, at least cheaper than the various random tutorial classes. Sui Yi promptly paid by card while joining Ah A, her "senior brother," to pick up her Martial Arts Uniform.(To be continued.
