Chapter 87: Chapter 87 Holy Knight

In the Dragon Abyss Sect, within the sect main hall, Blood Slaughter knelt on one knee and cupped his hands, "Master, my father, Dracula I, seeks an audience."

"I won’t see him," Yan Rufeng replied decisively.

Blood Slaughter slightly raised his head, a trace of longing flashing in his eyes, "Master, why?"

"No reason."

"Master, Blood Slaughter understands..."

Outside the sect, Blood Slaughter raised his head proudly, "My master does not wish to see you."

"Hmph!"

Old Dracula showed a hint of dissatisfaction, sneering coldly, "Despised Eastern boy, putting on airs. Doesn’t he know how many noble families in Europe beg to see me?"

"That’s in Europe; this is Huaxia, where things are different," Blood Slaughter replied.

"Hehe..."

Old Dracula laughed disdainfully, "So what if it’s Huaxia? Feis, since your master doesn’t want to see me, you should hand over the Great Angel Scripture to me."

"Haha..."

Blood Slaughter snickered, "So my master already saw through your intentions. I didn’t expect you actually had such a plan."

"The Great Angel Scripture belongs to the Western Law Code. How could an Eastern man be worthy of possessing it?"

"The West."

"Hehe..."

Blood Slaughter smiled disdainfully, "The Great Angel Scripture doesn’t belong to the West."

"If the Great Angel Scripture doesn’t belong to the West, does it belong to Huaxia?" Old Dracula shouted angrily.

Blood Slaughter looked up at the sky, speaking calmly, "It doesn’t belong to Huaxia either."

"Feis, don’t you see? No matter where the Great Angel Scripture comes from, since you’ve cultivated it, handing it over now can spare your lives," Dracula’s eyes flashed with killing intent.

"Haha..."

Blood Slaughter laughed loudly, "Dracula, I finally see your true colors."

"Oh, my dear Feis, you’ve changed so much I can hardly recognize you," Old Dracula said gentlemanly.

"People always change. Didn’t you turn into a despised vampire for the sake of power?"

Old Dracula shouted angrily, "You have no right to judge me."

Blood Slaughter turned around, coldly saying, "Yes, I have no right to judge you. When you turned me into a vampire with your own hands when I was five, I lost all my rights."

Blood Slaughter’s tone shifted, pointing at Dracula and shouting angrily, "Don’t forget, my mother died at your hands that day."

"That was just an accident," Dracula roared.

Blood Slaughter’s mind replayed the moment he was turned into a vampire, "Father, I beg you, I don’t want to become like you. Please, let me go."

"Dracula, you bastard, what are you doing? Let go of my child."

Blood Slaughter’s mother grasped Dracula, trying to stop his madness.

"Get away."

Dracula pushed away Blood Slaughter’s mother.

A frail noblewoman, thrown aside by the enraged Dracula, her body flew like a leaf and crashed into a stone pillar, resulting in her death...

"Accident? That’s convenient to say. Would you have turned me into a vampire if not for your selfish desires? Would my mother have died because of it?" Blood Slaughter accused.

"Feis, do you know why I turned you into a vampire?" Dracula grew much older.

"Why? Wasn’t it all for the Holy Knights?"

"Haha..."

Old Dracula laughed, "Feis, it’s good that you understand. The Holy Knights are the ones who caused your mother’s death."

"That’s your belief," Blood Slaughter raised his voice.

"My dear prince, Feis, surrender the Great Angel Scripture, and together we will crush the Holy Knights beneath our feet, conquering Europe. Wouldn’t that be splendid?" Old Dracula spoke kindly.

"Not interested; leave." Blood Slaughter turned away.

"Feis, you’ve forced me into this. Blame no one but yourself."

Old Dracula moved, rising into the air, transforming instantly into a dark red blood cloud, enveloping Feis tightly.

"Father, you’ve forced me into this as well."

"Angel’s Sword!"

Blood Slaughter roared angrily. His wings instantly detached from his body, merging into one. The black glow covered the sky. After a deafening sword cry, a sword formed from black wings hovered before him.

The Angel’s Sword before Blood Slaughter shone with dazzling black light. He slowly raised his hand, grasping the sword. With a gentle swing, the blood cloud dispersed.

Old Dracula was defeated, but Blood Slaughter spared his life. No matter how Dracula had treated him, he was still his father. If Blood Slaughter killed him, his mother would never forgive him if she were ever resurrected.

The faint red blood cloud reformed, and Old Dracula fell from the sky with a thud, hitting the ground heavily.

"You lost." Blood Slaughter pointed his sword at Old Dracula.

"Cough, cough..."

Old Dracula spat out old blood, then said, "My dear prince, congratulations on defeating your father."

"Father, allow me to call you that one last time. Return to the old castle for eternal rest," Blood Slaughter said calmly.

"Haha..."

Old Dracula laughed, "Eternal rest? My prince Feis, do you really think your father would return to the old castle?"

"If you’re injured, you should rest and recover. Otherwise, you truly will rest eternally."

With difficulty, Old Dracula stood up, saying, "Rest? That’s not possible. My dear prince Feis, since you’ve become a Great Angel, your father must share the news with old friends. I wouldn’t find peace even if I returned to the old castle."

Blood Slaughter, worried, said, "Father, is power and fame really that important to you? If you go now, even the weakest Holy Knight could easily slay you with their Holy Sword."

"Haha..."

Old Dracula laughed, "It’s good that you’re still worried about your father. I’ll be off first..."

Old Dracula transformed into a blood cloud, disappearing instantly over the sect.

Blood Slaughter hurriedly rushed into the inner courtyard of the sect, kneeling before Yan Rufeng, pleading, "Master, please allow Blood Slaughter to rescue my father."

Yan Rufeng stood up, "Blood Slaughter, rise."

"Master, you agree?"

Blood Slaughter asked joyfully.

Yan Rufeng nodded and said, "Blood Slaughter, first go to the snowfield and call Tian Lang to go with you."

"Blood Slaughter obeys."

Eager to rescue his father, Blood Slaughter left the Dragon Abyss Sect, unfolding his wings and flying swiftly towards the snowfield.

After meeting with Tian Lang, it wouldn’t take long before a bloody storm would sweep through Europe...

Watching Blood Slaughter leave, Niuniu said disappointedly, "Blood Slaughter didn’t even say goodbye. Doesn’t he care about Niuniu anymore? I still want Blood Slaughter to give me a hug, what should I do?"

"Niuniu, would you like Master to hug you?" Yan Rufeng asked with a smile.

"No way, Blood Slaughter has wings, you don’t. I want Blood Slaughter to hug me."

"Wah wah~"

Seeing this, Yan Rufeng took out a string of candied fruit and handed it to Niuniu beside him.

Niuniu turned her head, a face full of disdain, saying, "Niuniu doesn’t want it. Niuniu wants Blood Slaughter to hug and fly with me."

Yan Rufeng took a bite of the candied fruit himself, giving a thumbs-up, praising, "Hmm, this candied fruit is really sweet, not sour at all. If you don’t eat it, I’ll finish it off."

Niuniu swallowed, staring at Yan Rufeng with wide eyes, weakly asking, "Master, is this candied fruit really not sour at all?"

"Of course, Master wouldn’t lie to you."

"Master, then give me one too."

"Hehe!"

Niuniu picked up the candied fruit in Yan Rufeng’s hand and began eating, "Master is lying again. This candied fruit is sour."

"Wah..."

Seeing Niuniu start crying again, Yan Rufeng didn’t know what to do, "Niuniu, don’t you like the sweet and sour taste of candied fruits? What happened today..."

Suddenly, Yan Rufeng’s phone rang, and he saw it was Wen JiaRen calling.

"Hello, General Wen."

"Major General Yan, are you available now?"

"Major General? General Wen, why do you call me Major General?" Yan Rufeng asked, puzzled.

"Haha..."

Wen JiaRen laughed, "Rufeng, it seems your appointment letter hasn’t reached Zhongzhou yet."

"Appointment letter?"

"Yes, you’ve been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General."

"Appointed me as Lieutenant General? When did this happen?" Yan Rufeng was completely in the dark.

"Rufeng, if you’re free, come to the base now. I’ll explain everything to you slowly." Wen JiaRen urged.

"Alright, General Wen, I’ll come immediately."

Yan Rufeng ended the call and looked down at the aggrieved Niuniu, saying, "Niuniu, Master will take you to a place. They have cosmic battleships there. Do you want to go?"

"What’s a cosmic battleship?" Niuniu stopped crying.

"You’ll know when you see it. It’s more thrilling than Blood Slaughter flying with you," Yan Rufeng said with a light smile.

"Really?"

"Master wouldn’t lie to you," Yan Rufeng patted his chest to assure.

"Okay, I’ll trust you this once."

Yan Rufeng lifted the little mature-looking Niuniu and soared into the air, heading towards the base.
