84: 71 Purchase Spirit Bird Egg_1 84: 71 Purchase Spirit Bird Egg_1 “Junior Brother Shen, you’ve advanced to the ninth layer of Qi Refinement, congratulations!”
A hearty male voice sounded.
Shen Long turned his head to see Qin Bao approaching with numerous brown bloodstains on his clothes.
“Senior Brother Qin, why are you alone?
Where is Senior Brother Li?”
Shen Long asked curiously.
“He went back to rest, we just returned from hunting Monster Beasts.”
Qin Bao said.
He used his identity plaque to claim his lunch, sat down, and began to eat and talk with Shen Long.
Qin Bao, Li Lei, and several other Qi Refining Cultivators teamed up to hunt Monster Beasts.
They were mostly new disciples, with the lowest at the eighth layer of Qi Refinement.
As long as they didn’t encounter second-order Monster Beasts, there weren’t many problems.
“Twin-Tailed Scorpion!
You killed a nest of Twin-Tailed Scorpions!
Could I buy some of the Twin-Tailed Scorpion bodies from you?”
Shen Long inquired.
The Twin-Tailed Scorpion contained a fierce poison, highly toxic.
Qin Bao was more than willing to sell them.
Shen Long spent two hundred Spirit Stones to buy five first-order early-stage Twin-Tailed Scorpion bodies.
This price was very cheap if the scorpions were alive, the price would be much higher.
After having lunch, Shen Long returned to his lodging.
He entered a secret chamber, released the Iron Tail Scorpion, took out a Twin-Tailed Scorpions’ corpse, and fed it to the Iron Tail Scorpion.
The Iron Tail Scorpion was mid-stage first-order, while the Twin-Tailed Scorpions were only early-stage first-order, not enough to poison the Iron Tail Scorpion to death.
The Iron Tail Scorpion didn’t hold back, quickly devouring the corpse, then lain in the corner motionless, seemingly digesting the Twin-Tailed Scorpion’s body.
Shen Long took it into the Spirit Control Tower, letting it stay in the Spirit Control Pool.
He slapped a golden Spirit Beast bag on his waist, and over a hundred Gold Ants flew out; the Ant Queen had already advanced to mid-stage first-order.
The treatment of the Gold Ant Queen wasn’t as good as the Fire Rock Beast and Iron Tail Scorpion, but it still had Spirit Feeding Pills to consume.
The Gold Ants were gregarious Spirit Insects that relied on their numbers for strength.
The more numerous they were and the higher their stages, the greater the power they could consolidate into weapon form.
Shen Long took out a millstone-sized piece of Profound Iron Ore and tossed it on the ground.
He visited Free Trade Valley from time to time to buy some metal ore to feed the Gold Ants.
The Gold Ants flew onto the Profound Iron Ore, nibbling away.
In front of them, the hard ore was as soft as tofu.
The size of the Profound Iron Ore visibly diminished, and in no time, the Gold Ants had finished eating it.
They flew towards Shen Long, buzzing around him nonstop.
Shen Long took out an even bigger piece of Profound Iron Ore, and the ants consumed it rapidly before contentedly flying back into the Spirit Beast bag.
He left the Spirit Control Tower and departed from his lodging, flying using a magical instrument towards Martial Training Peak.
Arriving at Martial Training Peak, Shen Long used his identity plaque to request a Practice Room.
He muttered an incantation, and his right hand glowed brightly with green light.
With a light flick towards a nearby stone tablet, a five-foot-long green Wind Blade shot out, striking the stone tablet accurately and producing a muffled sound.
A faint slash mark appeared on the stone.
Shen Long’s face showed pleasure; this was already the major accomplishment of the technique, just a step away from Great Perfection.
Shen Long continued practicing the Wind Blade Technique, casting faster and faster, and the power of the technique also substantially increased.
An hour later, Shen Long stepped out of the Practice Room.
After watching his fellow disciples’ Beast Battle for a while, he returned to Green Cloud Peak.
He had just returned to his dwelling when he saw Qian Dafu standing at the entrance to Qingmei Courtyard.
“Senior Brother Shen, there’s news about the Spirit Bird Eggs, but their vitality isn’t very strong, and it’s doubtful they will hatch.
Moreover, the price isn’t cheap,”
Qian Dafu said, looking concerned.
“What kind of Spirit Bird?”
Shen Long asked.
“The Snow Wind Sparrow!
Senior Sister Liu has been trying to hatch it for over a year without success.
She intends to sell it for five hundred Spirit Stones,”
Qian Dafu informed.
“The Snow Wind Sparrow!”
Shen Long was somewhat tempted.
The Snow Wind Sparrow was proficient in ice and wind spells, and it flew quite fast.
“Why can’t it be hatched?”
Shen Long inquired.
“Senior Sister Liu said it’s been stored for too long.
She soaked it in Spirit-Nurturing Jade Liquid for a long time and is on the verge of hatching it.
The price of five hundred Spirit Stones is negotiable.
If you’re interested, we can go over, and you can negotiate with her directly,”
Qian Dafu suggested.
Shen Long nodded, “Alright, take me to Senior Sister Liu’s place, and we’ll talk.”
Qian Dafu slapped his Spirit Beast bag at his waist, and a streak of green light flew out, landing in front of them.
It was a blue giant bird with a wingspan of about a yard, crouching on the ground.
“A late-stage first-order Chasing Wind Owl!”
Shen Long recognized the origins of the blue giant bird.
“It was passed down from my father; its flying speed is quite fast,”
Qian Dafu said as he climbed onto the back of the Chasing Wind Owl.
Shen Long followed closely behind.
With a gentle flap of its wings, the Chasing Wind Owl kicked up a gust of wind and soared into the sky.
A short while later, the Chasing Wind Owl landed in a small valley surrounded by mountains on three sides.
The valley was filled with white mist, obscuring the view inside.
Outside the valley stood a tall, blue stone tablet over thirty feet high, engraved with the words “Flying Butterfly Valley.”
Qian Dafu sent out a Sound Transmission Talisman, and not long after, the white mist inside the valley churned and dissipated.
A Tricolor Parrot flew out, speaking human language, “Fatty Qian, follow me.”
By its words, it seemed very familiar with Qian Dafu.
“I’ve known Senior Sister Liu since we were kids.
If you’re interested, just buy it.
You can haggle as you like; I’m just introducing you to her.
If it doesn’t hatch, it’s none of my business,”
Qian Dafu explained, putting away the Chasing Wind Owl.
Shen Long nodded his head.
With the Spirit Control Tower in hand, he wasn’t worried about not being able to hatch it, but the price was a bit too steep.
They entered the valley, and a vast manor came into view, with green bricks and blue tiles.
Along the valley’s sides, a large number of green Spirit Flowers were planted, and a swarm of Silver-Winged Flaming Bees was collecting nectar, filling the air with a faint fragrance.
