Chapter 504: 412 Snatching Hu_1

The mysterious cultivator’s gaze grew fervent, as he hastily cast a protective spell on himself, putting some distance between him and Qianji True Monarch, his face full of wariness.

Qianji True Monarch opened his mouth and expelled a stream of red flames, which landed on the human-shaped corpse, reducing it to ash, leaving only a green robe behind.

The young man in silver flicked his right hand, and with a flash of silver light, a small mirror sparkling with silver brilliance appeared in his hand, into which he poured his mana.

The surface of the silver mirror shone with a beam of silver light, emitting a silver halo that enveloped the painting and the green altar, but nothing unusual occurred.

With a single gesture from Qianji True Monarch, the Green Storage Bracelet flew towards him.

A gust of wind blew by, and a pitch-black ghost claw materialized out of nowhere, grabbing the Green Storage Bracelet in its grasp.

"A Ghost Cultivator! Taoist Friend Lin, you’ve actually raised a ghost creature!"

Qianji True Monarch frowned and said.

Next to the mysterious cultivator appeared a woman in a black dress, radiant with feminine features, emanating a soaring Yin Qi.

"Taoist Friend Wang, we agreed beforehand that I should select the treasures first. Why are you trying to steal the Storage Bracelet? What does this mean?"

The mysterious cultivator said with a somber face.

"If I did not wish to honor our agreement, with merely this ghost creature, do you think you could stop me?"

Qianji True Monarch replied coldly.

He threw his right hand up, and from it, a pearl flashing with silver light flew out. After inputting a spell, the silver pearl shone brightly, transforming into a massive Thunder Flood Dragon, its body covered with silver arcs.

He had slain an early-stage fourth-order Thunder Flood Dragon, refining its Spirit Soul into a Spiritual Treasure to boost its power.

"Fourth-order Thunder Flood Dragon! Help me deal with them,"

the mysterious cultivator commanded, deploying his treasure to attack Qianji True Monarch.

The ghost creature let out a chilling cry, spewing out a large black tornado, which then vanished in a gust of Yin wind.

Deep underground, Shen Long stood on the back of the Iron Tail Scorpion, with the Hundred Eyes Cicada lying on its back.

The eyes of the Hundred Eyes Cicada flickered with golden light, clearly seeing what was happening above ground.

"They’ve started fighting over the treasure; riches stir up people’s hearts,"

Shen Long muttered to himself.

"Eh, a soul has been seized!"

Shen Long exclaimed in surprise.

Inside the cave, Qianji True Monarch was dealing with the mysterious cultivator and the woman in black.

The young man in silver had already rushed to the front of the green altar, holding a Green Lotus Lamp in his hands,

his features contorted as if he were suffering some kind of agony.

A mournful ghostly wail rose, causing the entire cavern to shake violently.

A huge burst of silver thunder shot up into the sky, and the cavern exploded, dust billowing everywhere.

Qianji True Monarch and the mysterious cultivator flew out of the cavern, hovering high in the air with grave expressions.

A silver Escape Light shot out of the cavern, moving swiftly.

"Hao’er, help me destroy them. The ghost creature has been dealt with,"

Qianji True Monarch instructed.

The silver Escape Light ignored Qianji True Monarch and instead increased its Escape Speed.

"What is going on! No, you are not Hao’er. A soul has been seized!"

Qianji True Monarch erupted in fury.

His descendant had clearly used a Spiritual Treasure for inspection and found no issues; it seemed the opponent’s hiding techniques were very powerful.

What was even more incredulous was that his descendant was a Nascent Soul early-stage cultivator with several Spiritual Treasures at his disposal—how could he not resist a mere Soul Fragment?

The entire soul-seizing process occurred without any chance for his descendant to resist; otherwise, Qianji True Monarch would have certainly noticed something was amiss.

A deafening thunderous roar echoed as two massive silver thunderbolts tore through the sky, striking at both Qianji True Monarch and the mysterious cultivator. Moreover, a powerful gravitational force emerged out of nowhere.

Their bodies uncontrollably plummeted toward the ground. Qianji True Monarch and the mysterious cultivator, horrified, hurriedly took action to cope.

Three hundred miles away, the youth in a silver robe swiftly skimmed across the sky, his gaze intense and focused.

A sonorous bell tolled, accompanied by a shrill screeching sound.

The youth in the silver robe came to a halt, his facial features twisted in agony, as if suffering some unbearable pain.

A gust of wind blew, and a Nine-Headed Ghost Pigeon appeared in the void above the silver-robed youth’s head.

"Nine-Headed Ghost Pigeon, who hatched the egg of the Nine-Headed Ghost Pigeon!" he exclaimed, about to take action when a sharp, piercing screech rang out by his ear.

The silver-robed youth suddenly felt dizzy and unsteady on his feet.

A flash of white light, and a net shimmering with white light appeared, swooping down towards him.

A large amount of white frost emanated from the net, encasing the silver-robed youth’s body in ice at a visibly swift rate, turning him into an ice sculpture.

One of the heads of the Nine-Headed Ghost Pigeon spat out a blue aurora, enveloping the ice sculpture.

A golden orb flew out from the body and was swept into the mouth of the Nine-Headed Ghost Pigeon by the blue aurora and swallowed.

The ice sculpture crashed rapidly to the ground, shattered upon impact, and the silver-robed youth was already breathless.

A tall youth in red robes emerged from under the ground, he scavenged the belongings from the silver-robed youth’s body, and the Nine-Headed Ghost Pigeon flew into a Spirit Beast Bracelet in his hand.

The red-robed youth collected the corpse of the silver-robed youth and submerged into the ground, leaving the area.

After a while, a nine-year-old hermit and Qianji True Monarch caught up, their expressions turning sour.

"Taoist Friend Lin, is this your sincerity? Sending someone to tail us in secret," Qianji True Monarch said with a frown.

"I was about to ask you! How a Nascent Soul Cultivator suddenly appeared, and we couldn’t even see his face; we only know he is adept at the Thunder Method, your descendant looted his Storage Bracelet and Spiritual Treasure, and you even slew my Ghost Creature. You owe me an explanation," the nine-year-old hermit said bluntly.

They had fought over treasures, and while Qianji True Monarch destroyed the Ghost Creature, to their surprise, his descendant was possessed, and the opponent made away with the Storage Bracelet.

If it hadn’t been for a Nascent Soul Cultivator skilled in the Thunder Method blocking them, they would have caught up to Qianji True Monarch’s descendant by now.

"Didn’t you notice that person?" Qianji True Monarch asked, frowning.

This treasure hunt had cost him his only descendant, and the benefits had gone to a third party.

"If I had noticed him, do you think I would have given him a chance? It must have been a group, one to entangle us and another to take out your descendant," the nine-year-old hermit speculated.

"Hao’er had the Cultivation of the Early Nascent Soul stage; even a remnant soul of a Nascent Soul old monster wouldn’t be able to take possession so easily, unless it was a Divinity Transformation old monster," Qianji True Monarch ventured a bold guess.

The entire possession process happened without his descendant being able to send out a warning.

"A Divinity Transformation old monster? You must be joking; if it was a soul fragment of a Divinity Transformation old monster, why would he need to flee? He could have just destroyed us outright," the nine-year-old hermit retorted.

"We can’t let this go, we must find the true mastermind behind the scene," Qianji True Monarch declared, his face stern.

In so many years of Cultivation, this was the first time he had suffered such a severe loss.

"Let’s leave this place for now; Immortal Fall Island is full of restrictions," the nine-year-old hermit said and then left.

Qianji True Monarch’s brows furrowed tightly as he transformed into a beam of Escape Light and departed.

Over five hundred miles away, in a hidden underground cavern, the stone walls emitted a yellow light.

Shen Long stood on the ground, with the Nine-Headed Ghost Pigeon beside him.

"What! The soul fragment of Cai Lei!" Shen Long exclaimed in surprise.
