Chapter 329: 241 master and apprentice join forces to wipe out the enemy_1
A massive black axe blade shot forth, and Shen Long swung his right claw to meet it. The black axe blade struck the red dragon claw, producing a muffled sound of metal clashing against metal.
The Red Fire Flood Dragon lunged forward. Shen Long slapped his spirit beast bag at his waist, and an earth-shattering dragon’s roar resounded. The Ice Flood Dragon flew out of the bag to confront it.
Both the Ice Flood Dragon and the Red Fire Flood Dragon were at the middle stage of the third rank. The Red Fire Flood Dragon spewed a thick red flame directly at the Ice Flood Dragon.
The Ice Flood Dragon showed no fear and spewed a white aurora to meet it.
The red flame and the white aurora collided, exploding into a large cloud of white mist. The Ice Flood Dragon and the Red Fire Flood Dragon tangled together in combat.
The Red Fire Flood Dragon breathed intense flames, which landed on the Ice Flood Dragon, but quickly, a blinding white aurora burst forth from the Ice Flood Dragon’s body, dispersing the flames rapidly.
"You also have a third-rank Flood Dragon?"
Tu Xin was slightly taken aback.
At the frontline battle, Shen Long had never released the Ice Flood Dragon, and now with his appearance changed, Tu Xin had no idea of Shen Long’s capabilities.
Shen Long unleashed the Gold-Winged Windroc. With a flap of its wings, it pounced towards the Red Fire Flood Dragon, determined to aid the Ice Flood Dragon in killing it.
Tu Xin scoffed coldly and slapped his spirit beast bag. A four-winged black crow with two heads and a bald and somewhat ugly appearance flew out from the bag.
A third-rank middle-stage Twin-Headed Black Wind Crow!
The Twin-Headed Black Wind Crow flapped its wings and pounced towards the Gold-Winged Windroc.
But that was not all. Tu Xin once again slapped another red spirit beast bag, and a harsh screeching noise emerged as a massive Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede flew out.
"Go!"
Tu Xin pointed at Shen Long, and the Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede opened its gaping maw to spew out more than a dozen fist-sized red thunder orbs, streaking directly towards Shen Long.
Shen Long summoned a red shield. The dozen red thunder orbs struck the red shield and exploded instantaneously, submerging the shield in red lightning.
The Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede lunged at Shen Long. A deafening thunderclap resounded from the sky, and a thick silver thunder pillar descended straight onto the Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede.
Before the Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede could dodge, a piercing shriek sounded, slowing its reaction. It was struck by the silver thunder pillar, and the blinding silver lightning engulfed its figure.
The thunderous rumbling continued, wave after wave of thick silver lightning struck the Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede, the lightning growing brighter and the shockwaves rolling forth.
"You’re Shen Long from the Spirit Control Sect!"
Tu Xin exclaimed, his face filled with wariness.
At the beginning of the battle, Shen Long had killed five Core Formation cultivators, marking him as a Human Clan expert that the Barbarian Tribe had to guard against seriously.
A gust of wind blew by, and Shen Long appeared near the silver lightning; on his back was a pair of red wings several zhang wide, and in his hand was the Zyphyxial Blade.
With a swing of the blade, Shen Long cleaved the silver lightning in two, and the body of the Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede fell from midair, charred black and emitting billows of black smoke.
Tu Xin felt a pang of pain. He had spent much effort and resources to cultivate the Eight-Winged Thunderfire Centipede to the third rank, only for it to be killed so easily by Shen Long.
"So you changed your appearance; no wonder you vanished without a trace."
Tu Xin frowned, full of murderous intent.
A tragic roar of a dragon resounded, and Tu Xin turned to see that the Twin-Headed Black Wind Crow had been killed by the Gold-Winged Windroc. Faced with the assault from both the Ice Flood Dragon and the Gold-Winged Windroc, the Red Fire Flood Dragon was struggling. A large number of red scales fell from its body.
Bloodied and torn, patches of the Red Fire Flood Dragon’s bones were faintly visible beneath its broken skin.
With a sudden sweep of its tail, the Ice Flood Dragon struck at the Red Fire Flood Dragon.
The Red Fire Flood Dragon tried to dodge, but a sharp, piercing shriek sounded in its ears as if it had been struck with a heavy hammer, leaving it dizzy and disoriented.
By the time it regained its senses, the Ice Flood Dragon’s tail had already struck its body, causing it to plummet rapidly towards the ground.
Before it could land, thick Green Vines burst from the ground and entwined the Red Fire Flood Dragon’s body.
The Red Fire Flood Dragon struggled fiercely, easily tearing apart the Green Vines, when a thick white light descended from the sky, striking its head. The head of the Red Fire Flood Dragon instantly froze over, with the frost quickly spreading.
The Gold-Winged Windroc descended from the sky; its sharp talons aimed straight for the head of the Red Fire Flood Dragon.
The talons effortlessly penetrated the layer of ice—and the Red Fire Flood Dragon’s skull—bringing about its demise.
Tu Xin was both shocked and enraged. He had realized the Gold-Winged Windroc was no ordinary third-rank Spirit Bird, as the Twin-Headed Black Wind Crow had been swiftly killed.
At that moment, Shen Long swung the Zyphyxial Blade toward him.
Tu Xin swung the black giant axe in his hand and met the incoming attack.
When the black giant axe collided with the Zyphyxial Blade, the dull sound of metal striking metal rang out. Tu Xin felt an irresistible colossal force, his body uncontrollably plummeting towards the ground.
Before he even touched the ground, a silver lightning pillar about a zhang in diameter descended from the sky, striking Tu Xin. The lightning immediately engulfed his body in its bright glow.
The sound of thunder continued incessantly, as thick silver lightning pillars struck down, with shockwaves billowing around.
Before the silver light had dissipated, a golden spear shot through the air, piercing into the lightning, followed by a man’s scream of agony.
A long red sword, its light flowing ceaselessly, shot forth, cleaving the lightning in two. Tu Xin was severed in half, plummeting from mid-air, his body charred and a giant bloody hole evident in his chest.
"Shen Long, be careful!"
The voice of Ice Silkworm True Person rang out urgently.
No sooner had the words fallen than a gust of fierce wind blew past, and Tie Xiao appeared behind Shen Long without warning, his face full of murderous intent.
In his left hand, Tie Xiao held a golden long rod. Upon closer inspection, one could see bloodstains and pieces of flesh on it; he had just killed a Core Formation Cultivator of the Human Clan.
Tie Xiao swung the golden rod towards Shen Long’s head. Shen Long reacted quickly, brandishing the Zyphyxial Blade to meet it.
The Zyphyxial Blade clashed with the golden rod, and again the dull sound of metal against metal echoed.
Tie Xiao felt an immense force strike him, causing his hands to go numb, and a trace of surprise appeared in his eyes.
He had never anticipated that Shen Long’s physical body was so powerful.
A barrage of white ice blades shot towards him, striking Tie Xiao’s body and producing the sound of metal clashing.
A white ice blade shone with a blinding light; the Ice Flood Dragon appeared, its right claw striking at Tie Xiao.
Tie Xiao quickly swung his right fist to meet the attack.
With a dull thud, Tie Xiao was sent flying back, several gruesome gashes on his right hand, revealing the white of his bones underneath.
Any normal Core Formation Cultivator would have had their hand severed by now.
Before Tie Xiao could land, a clap of thunder sounded, and a silver lightning pillar about a zhang in diameter tore through the sky, accurately striking him. The blinding lightning engulfed his body once more.
A Green-Eyed Ice Silkworm flew over, opening its mouth to emit a thick beam of white light, heading straight for the lightning.
A shrill cry of a bird echoed, the lightning scattered, and a wave of black sonic energy swept out, shattering the white light.
Shen Long spurred his spell to control the Leading Thunder Pearl, which burst forth with blinding silver lightning. A much larger silver lightning pillar cleaved the sky, targeting Tie Xiao.
Tie Xiao had no time to dodge as a piercing scream sounded. His head felt heavy and before he could regain his senses, the silver lightning pillar struck him, and once again lightning swallowed his figure.
The Green-Eyed Ice Silkworm opened its mouth, blasting a beam of white light that shot directly towards Tie Xiao.
A massive ice sculpture fell from within the lightning, and within the ice, one could discern Tie Xiao’s figure.
The Green-Eyed Ice Silkworm spat out several slender threads of white silk that pierced through the ice sculpture, and Tie Xiao’s body as well.
And so, Tie Xiao met his end!
The Green-Eyed Ice Silkworm’s body lit up with a dazzling white light, and Ice Silkworm True Person emerged from within, his face showing delight.
Shen Long flew over, smiling, "I’m lucky Master reminded me; otherwise, I would have been ambushed by that guy."
Just as Ice Silkworm True Person was about to respond, a noisy screech sounded, and he suddenly felt weak throughout his body, unable to muster any strength. He looked on in horror as he discovered he couldn’t draw upon even a trace of Mana.
When Shen Long heard this sound, he too was unable to draw upon Mana, feeling utterly powerless.
Shen Long’s Divine Sense sensed something flying towards them at great speed.
Ice Silkworm True Person pushed Shen Long, who fell to the ground. A streak of blood-red light shot forth, striking Ice Silkworm True Person.
The body of Ice Silkworm True Person trembled, his brows furrowed tightly.
Shen Long’s expression darkened as he twisted his head to look into the distance. Wu Shan was flying straight towards them.
"The Witch Clan!"
Shen Long’s expression became grave, knowing that if it weren’t for Ice Silkworm True Person’s push, he would have been the one struck.
