Immortal Venerable of the Beast Race
Chapter 204 - 204 126 Jade Ebony Fruit_1

204: 126 Jade Ebony Fruit_1 204: 126 Jade Ebony Fruit_1 A vast and boundless dark forest unfolds, with towering ancient trees reaching a hundred yards into the sky, lush with branches and leaves, and sparse sunlight filtering through.

The ground is covered with layers of fallen leaves, several feet thick, and the air is heavy with the unmistakable stench of decay.

Deep in the forest, Shen Long advances at a slow pace, caution evident on his face, enshrouded in a five-colored light shield, with the Iron Tail Scorpion leading the way, though not swiftly.

He had been inside the Secret Realm for three days now, and there was indeed no shortage of Spiritual Medicine and Spirit Fruits here, nor of second-order Monster Beasts.

Both the Human Clan and the Barbarian Tribe had sent a number of Cultivators into the Secret Realm for exploration, but they had not yet fully explored the entire realm.

Ice Silkworm True Person had analyzed it and didn’t rule out the presence of third-order Monster Beasts, advising Shen Long to remain cautious.

Throughout their journey, the Iron Tail Scorpion had encountered several second-order poisonous insects and beasts, none of which were a match for it.

After the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, Shen Long emerged from the forest to see a towering black peak with steep slopes, and at its base, a cave opening several yards wide.

Shen Long released the Hundred Eyes Cicada, whose eyes emitted a blinding golden light.

“Blood Tonic Fruit!”

Joy appeared on Shen Long’s face.

The Blood Tonic Fruit, with a growth cycle of six hundred years, had the effect of replenishing Qi and blood, serving as the main ingredient in crafting third-order Blood Tonic Pills.

Inside this cavern was a Blood Tonic Fruit tree, guarded by two Blood Jade Spiders.

The Blood Jade Spider was known for its deadly poison, and its silk was as strong as a Magic Artifact.

As the Iron Tail Scorpion rushed into the cave, Shen Long followed, again, not quickly.

The cave was damp and shadowy, extending toward the depths of the earth, with uneven walls that posed no real obstacle to Shen Long.

Before long, he found himself in a cavern sprawling several acres, where in the lower left corner grew a large blood-red tree over two dozen feet tall, its limbs teeming with foliage.

Hanging from the branches were dozens of blood-red, elliptical fruits.

Two immense blood-red spiders were perched under the tree; their heads were small in comparison to their swollen abdomens.

Underneath each abdomen were eight spear-like sharp legs, and their eyes glowed a deep, bloody red.

Upon seeing Shen Long and the Iron Tail Scorpion, they immediately let out a noisy shrieking sound and, almost in unison, opened their mouths to spray twin jets of blood-red flames, thick as an adult’s arm, straight towards Shen Long and the Iron Tail Scorpion.

Shen Long’s figure flickered, dodging the blood-red flames, while the Iron Tail Scorpion’s body lit up with a yellow light, and it burrowed underground.

The blood-red flames hit the ground, causing a burst of green smoke to rise and the surface to show signs of corrosion.

Shen Long let out a sharp, piercing insect-like chirp—the Bug Chant Technique!

The Spirt Control Sect in the Qin Country’s Cultivation Realm was renowned for its Insect Repelling and Controlling Beast Taming techniques.

While their disciples learned the basics of immortality and the various calls of Monster Beasts and Demon Insects, it might seem to an outsider that there was little difference among the calls.

However, the differences were profound; some sounds would provoke the creatures, while others signaled friendliness.

Of course, these sounds were more effective on beasts and insects of lower Purity of Bloodline.

For those with a blood purity level above three, such tactics were useless; it came down to the Cultivator’s own cultivation.

For Qi Refining Cultivators armed with these techniques, second-order Monster Beasts would still not hold back.

Upon hearing this sound, the two Blood Jade Spiders became agitated and rushed towards Shen Long.

They simultaneously gaped their maws wide and expelled a barrage of fine, blood-red silk—like blood-red lances flying straight for Shen Long.

Shen Long quickly moved backwards to avoid most of the blood-red silk.

The strands that hit the walls of the cave punctured straight through, while some hit the five-colored light shield, creating a muffled sound akin to the clashing of gold against iron.

Shen Long flicked his sleeve, and a giant fireball flew out, crashing into one of the Blood Jade Spiders.

It exploded violently, engulfing the spider in a blaze of fire.

A yellow scorpion tail burst from the ground, its stinger piercing the head of that Blood Jade Spider, which then collapsed motionless to the ground.

The other spider chased after it but hadn’t gone far when two thick Green Vines burst from the earth, winding around its body.

The spider’s sharp legs hacked at the Green Vines, cutting them to pieces.

Then, a giant fireball fell from above, smashing into the spider, and flames enveloped its body.

The spider let out a tormented shriek as its massive form writhed in agony.

A yellow tail emerged again from the ground, skewering the creature’s head, and the Blood Jade Spider ceased its struggle.

After much combat experience, the Iron Tail Scorpion’s cooperation with Shen Long had greatly improved.

The Iron Tail Scorpion emerged from the ground, effortlessly slicing open the abdomen of the Blood Jade Spider with its large pincers and beginning to feed.

The more poisonous insects and beasts the Iron Tail Scorpion devoured, the greater the aid in its advancement, and the stronger its poison became.

Shen Long stepped carefully towards the Blood Tonic Fruit tree, meticulously harvesting all the fruit and placing them into a jade case.

With a flick of his right hand, a green glow flashed, and a Green Gourd appeared in his grasp.

The Hundred Herbs Gourd, an exceptional Magic Artifact.

It was the tool given to Shen Long by Ice Silkworm True Person for transplanting rare Spiritual Medicine and Spirit Fruit trees, and moving the Blood Tonic Fruit tree was no challenge.

However, transplanting rarer Spiritual Medicine and Spirit Fruits would require treasures and special formations.

Shen Long shook his wrist and the Hundred Herbs Gourd flew out, hovering above the Blood Tonic Fruit tree.

As he formed a spell, the Gourd exuded a beam of green light that enveloped the tree.

Muttering under his breath, Shen Long’s hands glowed yellow and pressed against the ground.

The earth trembled lightly, cracking beneath his touch.

The Blood Tonic Fruit tree slowly rose from the ground as some roots snapped.

Blood-colored sap seeped out from the breaks, but upon contact with the green light, the bleeding stopped.

In less than half a quarter of an hour, the tree shrank rapidly and was swept into the Hundred Herbs Gourd by the green light.
