Immortal Venerable of the Beast Race
Chapter 169 - 169 106 Xu Tianlei Tang Family_1

169: 106 Xu Tianlei, Tang Family_1 169: 106 Xu Tianlei, Tang Family_1 Shu Country is one of the thirty-six countries within the Donghua Cultivation Realm, and the Five Poisons Mountain Range is located in the central region of Shu Country, composed of thousands of peaks both large and small, stretching over tens of thousands of miles.

The Five Poisons Mountain Range is perpetually enveloped in miasma and also home to a large number of poisonous insects and fierce beasts.

Its abundant produce includes several kinds of detoxifying Spiritual Medicines, attracting many Cultivators to come here to hunt Monster Beasts and gather detoxifying Spiritual Medicines.

There have been third-stage Demon Insects in the Five Poisons Mountain Range.

Numerous Cultivators perished at their hands.

The Tang Family sent people to exterminate the third-stage Demon Insects, but those second-stage poisonous insects and poisonous beasts are not vegetarians either.

Many Cultivators entered the Five Poisons Mountain Range only to die by the second-stage poisonous insects and poisonous beasts.

In the depths of the Five Poisons Mountain Range, a vast expanse of dark forest was dense and lush, with scarce sunlight.

Shen Long stood on an open space, watching an Iron Tail Scorpion in battle with an all-black Centipede.

The Black Centipede spewed black poisonous flames from its mouth, and the claws underneath its belly were as sharp as sickles; however, it was no match for the Iron Tail Scorpion.

The body of the Iron Tail Scorpion was protected by a thick layer of yellow earthen armor.

Black poisonous flame hit the yellow earthen armor, emitting wisps of green smoke.

The Iron Tail Scorpion let out a sharp hiss, and the Black Centipede’s reaction slowed down.

Seizing the opportunity, the Iron Tail Scorpion’s tail stinger shivered, transforming into a barrage of black lines that successively struck the Black Centipede’s head, creating visible tiny holes in it.

The Black Centipede fell down, motionless.

Over the years, Shen Long had frequently fed the Iron Tail Scorpion the Demon Cores and Poison Sacs of poisonous insects and beasts as well as aged toxic herbs, greatly enhancing its toxicity.

As both were second-stage, mid-stage creatures, the Black Centipede stood no chance against the Iron Tail Scorpion and was quickly dispatched.

Rare were the second-stage poisonous insects and beasts that mastered Divine Sense Attacks.

With Divine Sense Attacks and powerful toxicity, ordinary second-stage poisonous creatures were no match for the Iron Tail Scorpion.

The Iron Tail Scorpion grabbed the corpse of the Black Centipede with its two giant pincers, easily tearing off a large chunk of flesh to consume.

Shen Long released a Hundred Eyes Cicada to observe the surroundings with its help.

After advancing to the middle stage of second-stage, the Hundred Eyes Cicada could see every blade of grass and tree within twenty miles; even second-stage Demon Insects and Demon Beasts skilled in concealment could not hide from the Hundred Eyes Cicada.

“Blood Jade Grass!

It’s this kind of poisonous herb.”

A look of delight appeared on Shen Long’s face.

There was a cave to the northwest with some Blood Jade Grass inside.

This poisonous grass was greatly favored by poisonous insects and beasts.

After devouring the Black Centipede’s corpse, the Iron Tail Scorpion proceeded toward the northwest, with Shen Long following closely behind.

After a short while, the Iron Tail Scorpion stopped.

Ahead was a narrow valley filled with black miasma.

Shen Long raised his right hand, summoning a cyan tornado that swept out into the valley, dispersing the black miasma and revealing a cave several dozens of feet wide.

A blue water screen appeared around Shen Long’s body as he strode in.

He walked into the cave, which was dark and damp, but it did not affect him at all.

Before long, Shen Long reached the end and found himself in a cavern about an acre in size, with dozens of blood-colored grasses with rhomboid leaves growing in the bottom left corner.

He didn’t see any poisonous insects or beasts.

However, the Hundred Eyes Cicada could see two Chameleon Lizards near the Blood Jade Grass; once Shen Long attempted to pick the Blood Jade Grass, they would definitely ambush him.

The Chameleon Lizards were masters of the art of concealment, difficult to detect even for Foundation Establishment Cultivators using Divine Sense.

The Iron Tail Scorpion rushed towards the Blood Jade Grass.

As soon as it approached within three zhang of the Blood Jade Grass, it emitted a sharp and piercing screech, its tail stinger suddenly lashing out and striking a spot on the ground.

A zhang-long Yellow Lizard appeared, its head struck by the Iron Tail Scorpion’s tail stinger, killed instantly.

They had wanted to ambush Shen Long, but their prided arts of concealment were futile in front of the Hundred Eyes Cicada.

The other Chameleon Lizard realized something was wrong and opened its jaws wide, spewing a stream of yellow poisonous flame aimed directly at the Iron Tail Scorpion.

The Iron Tail Scorpion’s body shone with a yellow light, as a thick yellow earthen armor appeared, protecting its entire form.

The yellow poisonous flame fell upon the yellow earthen armor, bringing forth another burst of green smoke.

The Iron Tail Scorpion accelerated, pouncing towards the Chameleon Lizard.

Sensing the danger, the Chameleon Lizard dashed towards the location of the Blood Jade Grass.

Just then, a sharp hiss resounded and its reaction slowed.

By the time it came to its senses, a tail stinger radiating black light had struck its head, ending its life.

The Iron Tail Scorpion let out a joyous hiss as it feasted on the bodies of the two Chameleon Lizards.

Shen Long, wearing a pair of blue gloves, carefully excavated all the Blood Jade Grass to be used to feed the Iron Tail Scorpion in the future.

After consuming the corpses of the two Chameleon Lizards, the Iron Tail Scorpion followed Shen Long out.

A deafening roar came from the distance; Shen Long observed with the help of the Hundred Eyes Cicada.

“Snow Plum Ridge of the Xu Family!”

A contemplative expression appeared on Shen Long’s face.

Two members of the Xu Family were being chased by Demon Bats; the Xu Family was an in-law to the Tang Family.

Shen Long put away the Iron Tail Scorpion and with a thought, a cyan light shone upon his back, revealing a pair of cyan wings that appeared with a light flap, lifting him into the air as he flew towards the high sky.

In an open area, a man in his forties wearing a golden robe and a young woman in her twenties dressed in a white skirt stood together.

A golden light circulated non-stop around a small umbrella hovering above their heads, enveloping them in a golden light shield.

Nearly a hundred Blood-Colored Bats were attacking them with either blood-colored sound waves or by flapping their wings to release grey Wind Blades, which struck the golden light shield.

The Bat King was at the middle stage of second-stage, and there were over twenty second-stage Demon Bats.
