Shen Long released the Green-Eyed Spirit Fox, the Iron Tail Scorpion, and the Hundred Eyes Cicada; his Divine Sense attached to the Hundred Eyes Cicada, allowing him to see every blade of grass and every tree within a ten-mile radius through the cicada’s eyes.

With the help of the Hundred Eyes Cicada, Shen Long could easily discern where Monster Beasts and Spiritual Medicine were located.

The body of the Iron Tail Scorpion glowed yellow as it burrowed into the ground, while the Green-Eyed Spirit Fox sniffed lightly in the air before dashing off toward the southwest.

Shen Long deployed his Wind Control Skill and followed.

Soon, he vanished deep into the bamboo forest.

Half a day later, Shen Long appeared in a narrow valley with uneven rocky walls on both sides, where the vegetation was sparse, giving it a desolate look.

The Green-Eyed Spirit Fox stopped, and not far ahead was a cave about the size of a courtyard.

Through the eyes of the Hundred Eyes Cicada, Shen Long could clearly see inside the cave, where there were two red centipedes and several dozen Bloodleaf Flowers, a type of poisonous herb beloved by venomous insects and beasts.

Shen Long’s Divine Sense spread wide, detecting two presences inside the cave, both second-order Demon Insects, which reassured him.

He put the Green-Eyed Spirit Fox back into the Spirit Beast bag and strode toward the cave.

The cave was dark and dry, which did not affect Shen Long’s movement.

Before long, he reached the end of the cave, finding himself in a chamber several acres in size.

In the bottom left corner, there were two red centipedes, each about two fathoms long, with unusually long antennae and a row of sickle-like red claws underneath.

As soon as Shen Long entered the chamber, he startled them.

The two red centipedes simultaneously opened their mouths and each spit out dozens of red fireballs the size of millstones, hurling them at Shen Long.

Shen Long raised his right hand, conjuring a green wind wall about a fathom high in front of him.

The dozens of red fireballs smashed against the green wind wall, shattering like eggs against a rock, dissipating instantly.

The two red centipedes lunged at Shen Long, moving quickly.

At that moment, over a dozen thick Green Vines emerged from the ground, entangling their bodies.

The Iron Tail Scorpion burrowed out of the ground, its tail flicking sharply and striking accurately on the head of one red centipede, producing a muffled sound.

A dozen or more bloody holes appeared on the centipede’s head, killing it instantly.

The other red centipede slashed its claws underneath at the Green Vines, effortlessly cutting through them.

It spat out a blaze of red flame toward the Iron Tail Scorpion.

The Iron Tail Scorpion reacted quickly, burrowing into the ground before the red flame could reach it.

The red flame struck the ground, blasting a huge pit with signs of melting within.

Dozens of thick Green Vines broke through the soil, entangling the red centipede’s body once again.

Just as the red centipede was about to slash through the Green Vines with its claws, a sharp screeching sound filled the air, causing it to slow down,

The Iron Tail Scorpion emerged from the ground in front of the red centipede, its tail flicking sharply as a mass of black threads shot out, striking the centipede’s head in succession.

Instantly, a dozen or more bloody holes appeared on its head, and it was dead.

The Iron Tail Scorpion effortlessly killed the two second-order centipedes without breaking a sweat.

Waving its pincers, the Iron Tail Scorpion tore open the centipede’s bodies and began to eat them.

Shen Long, paying it no mind, put on a pair of blue gauntlets and carefully dug out all of the Bloodleaf Flowers.

In total, there were forty-five Bloodleaf Flowers, the youngest of which were at least twenty years old, with the oldest being over a hundred years old.

These Bloodleaf Flowers could be used to feed the Iron Tail Scorpion or for Alchemy.

Shen Long produced a black Gourd, inserted a spell, causing the black Gourd to burst forth with blinding black light and swell in size, releasing a black aura that enveloped the dead bodies of the two red centipedes.

Two miniature centipedes emerged from the bodies, which were their Spirit Souls, useful for Artifact Refining or Talisman Crafting.

The black Gourd was a mid-grade Magic Artifact, the Demon Soul Gourd, mainly used to store the Spirit Souls of Monster Beasts.

He collected one of the red centipedes’ bodies, while the other had been eaten by the Iron Tail Scorpion.

Shen Long released the Green-Eyed Spirit Fox again, allowing it to continue searching for Spiritual Medicine.

It wasn’t so much that he needed these things but rather, he took this opportunity to train the Green-Eyed Spirit Fox and enhance its experience in finding Spiritual Medicine.

Leaving the valley, a dense black forest lay before him; at a glance, he saw a multitude of black trees, lush and leafy.

The Iron Tail Scorpion moved underground, Shen Long used the Hundred Eyes Cicada to scout ahead, and only after confirming there were no issues did he let the Green-Eyed Spirit Fox move forward.

It wasn’t long before he disappeared into the dense black forest.

Seven days later, Shen Long stood in a clear field, with a steep peak nearby at the base of which was a cave opening several fathoms wide.

On the way here, Shen Long had killed many second-order Monster Beasts and Demon Insects, almost without the need for him to act, as the Iron Tail Scorpion and the Fire Rock Beast could handle them.

The Green-Eyed Spirit Fox stood next to Shen Long, not daring to go any further.

Shen Long had already used the Hundred Eyes Cicada to scout the cave, which housed a swarm of Bloodthirsty Bats.

These bats were ferocious and bloodthirsty, with relatively fast flight, capable of releasing Wind Blades and sound waves to harm their enemies.

The nest of the Bloodthirsty Bats contained over a hundred Blood Moon Grass plants; hundred-year-old Blood Moon Grass could be used to make Blood Moon Pills, which replenished qi and blood and had good healing effects.

Shen Long put away the Green-Eyed Spirit Fox and released the Fire Rock Beast, ordering it to enter the cave.

The Fire Rock Beast obeyed and charged into the cave.

Soon, a deafening boom echoed from within the cave.

Using the eyes of the Hundred Eyes Cicada, Shen Long could see inside the cave where the Fire Rock Beast was being attacked by hundreds of Black Bats with blood-red eyes.
