Chapter 1117: 1025 Green Lotus Fairy
Mu Yunchi sent a spell into the Red Jade Vase, and two Nascent Souls flew out of it, their bodies rapidly swelling as if preparing to self-destruct.
A wave of purple radiance swept over, enveloping the Nascent Souls, restoring them to their normal state.
Mu Yunwu and Mu Yunchi performed a Soul Search on the Nascent Souls, their brows furrowing slightly.
"Turns out they are members of the Union of Cultivators! No wonder they dared to ambush Qingsong and the others."
By the end, Mu Yunwu’s face was full of killing intent.
The Union of Cultivators was an organization of Loose Cultivators whose president was a Golden Immortal cultivator and harbored a poor relationship with the Mu Family.
"The Union of Cultivators is actually searching for the Bu Tian Order. These two men aimed to kill only because they noticed Qingsong and Yu He had relatively low cultivation levels. Lucky that Friend Qian and Friend Chu happened to pass by."
Mu Yunwu said.
"Do you think there’s a chance Qian Long is also part of the Union of Cultivators?"
Mu Yunchi suggested boldly.
"Highly unlikely! I can’t see why they’d bother doing something like that."
Mu Yunwu replied.
"The composition of the Union of Cultivators is quite complicated. Hopefully, I’m just overthinking this."
Mu Yunchi said.
Shen Long wandered along the street, strolling and observing.
After most of an hour had passed, he arrived at a broad Green Stone Plaza filled with numerous small stalls, the items on display varying greatly.
"Husband, I’m over here."
Chu Buyu’s voice reached Shen Long’s ears.
Following the sound, Shen Long saw Chu Buyu seated behind a stall, which displayed an array of Immortal Medicines, Immortal Fruits, and Immortal Pills.
They had agreed to meet here, but Shen Long hadn’t expected Chu Buyu to set up a stall.
Shen Long walked over and said via sound transmission, "Senior Mu took their Nascent Souls away and gave me a haul of resources, mostly refining materials—you’ll make good use of them."
Chu Buyu nodded and said, "Shen Peng has already rented an independent loft. We’ll head over there later."
"Fairy, what are the effects of the Seven Stars Nourishing Soul Pill?"
A loud male voice rang out.
A broad-shouldered man in a golden robe approached, radiating an intense murderous aura—a clear sign of a seasoned True Immortal cultivator.
"It strengthens Divine Soul Power. It can be exchanged for the Essence Blood of a True Spirit Five-Colored Peacock or refining materials of equal value."
Chu Buyu answered.
"How about the Essence Blood of a True Spirit Gold-Eyed Flaming Turtle?"
The golden-robed man asked, producing a Green Jade Vase and handing it to Chu Buyu.
Chu Buyu opened the bottle stopper, releasing a red glow that transformed into a giant red turtle with golden eyes and golden scales covering its head.
The Green Jade Vase emitted a green radiance, enveloping the red turtle and pulling it back inside the vase.
"A bottle of Essence Blood can only get you two Seven Stars Nourishing Soul Pills."
Chu Buyu said.
"Only two? At least four!"
The golden-robed man haggled.
"Only two. No more than that."
Chu Buyu replied.
Items like the Seven Stars Nourishing Soul Pill were relatively rare on the Ancient Cloud Continent. However, their valuation didn’t place much emphasis on Gold-Eyed Flaming Turtle Essence Blood—unlike that of Five-Colored Peacock Essence Blood.
"Three pills! Not a single one less."
The golden-robed man said.
Chu Buyu shook her head firmly, and the man finally relented, agreeing to exchange for two Seven Stars Nourishing Soul Pills.
"I’ve already toured the area. Husband, why don’t you go take a look now?"
Chu Buyu suggested.
Shen Long nodded and continued walking forward.
The stall owners were mostly True Immortal cultivators, with some Golden Immortal cultivators visible as well.
A loud beast roar suddenly echoed, catching Shen Long’s attention. He quickened his pace toward its source.
Over a hundred cultivators had gathered around a massive green iron cage, which contained a giant red beast with three heads.
The beast resembled a kylin in shape, with red scales covering its body. Its three heads resembled dragon heads, and a talisman glowing with golden light was affixed to its body.
"A Late-Stage True Immortal Dragon Scales Beast!"
Someone recognized the spirit beast’s origins.
The stall owner was a medium-built man in a green robe, carrying an exquisitely crafted Green Sword Box on his back. His aura was vast like an ocean, clearly marking him as a Golden Immortal cultivator.
"It has already cultivated into a True Spirit. I’m exchanging it for Tier-2 Immortal Pills, with Divine Soul types preferred."
The man said.
"A True Spirit!"
The surrounding cultivators buzzed with excitement.
With the Hengshan Conference approaching, numerous immortals had flocked to the Hengshan marketplace. It was common to see True Immortal realm monster beasts for sale, but rare to find True Spirits.
"Taoist Friend Xu, you’ve got some serious skills to have captured a True Spirit."
A sweet female voice rang out.
The crowd parted, making way.
A plump woman dressed in a green skirt walked in, her aura even more powerful than that of the green-robed man—a fellow Golden Immortal cultivator.
"It’s Fairy Qinghe from Hengshan Sect."
Someone recognized the woman in the green skirt.
"Fairy Qinghe!"
Shen Long’s eyes lit with a hint of surprise.
Along the way, they had chatted with Mu Qingsong, who had frequently praised Fairy Qinghe with high regard.
Fairy Qinghe was a Tier-2 Alchemist capable of refining Dao Pills and was a prominent focus of Hengshan Sect’s cultivation efforts.
Many Golden Immortal cultivators had sought Fairy Qinghe for alchemy services, but few succeeded.
"Madam Lin! Interested in this Dragon Scales Beast?"
The green-robed man asked warmly.
Fairy Qinghe nodded and said, "Let’s discuss it elsewhere."
"No problem."
The green-robed man readily agreed, putting away the Dragon Scales Beast and leaving with Fairy Qinghe.
The crowd dispersed. Shen Long toured the stalls, obtaining a Crystal Core from an Early-Stage True Immortal Wood Demon and some rare Immortal Medicine seeds.
Shortly after, he returned to Chu Buyu’s stall, where most of the items had already been traded away.
Chu Buyu’s face was beaming with joy, evidently satisfied with her gains.
By this time, night had begun to fall, and Shen Long and Chu Buyu left the marketplace.
They arrived at a sparsely populated street lined with residences, observing rows of buildings.
Stopping in front of a three-story Green Pavilion marked with a plaque that read "Qingmei Pavilion," Shen Chan was waiting at the entrance.
Shen Long and the group entered, closing the door behind them.
"Master, I ran into Jin Qianqian. She’s been associating closely with Han Tianyang of the Hengshan Sect, laughing and chatting together."
Shen Chan reported.
"What’s Han Tianyang’s background?"
Shen Long asked.
"He’s Fairy Qinghe’s final disciple, also an alchemist. Rumor has it he has already achieved a minor comprehension of the Law, making him a central focus of Hengshan Sect’s cultivation efforts."
Shen Chan replied.
"Fairy Qinghe’s final disciple?"
Shen Long showed some surprise.
Jin Qianqian’s proximity to Han Tianyang revealed her extraordinary status.
"I’ve long suspected that woman had significant connections. Could she actually be a Hengshan Sect disciple?"
Chu Buyu pondered aloud.
"Hard to say. We should tread carefully when dealing with her. Avoid conflict but remain vigilant."
Shen Long’s expression grew grim, as if recalling something. He asked, "By the way, has Shen Peng returned yet?"
"He stepped out recently, saying he was heading to check out the stall plaza."
Shen Chan responded.
"For now, let’s rest properly. Expanding our network might help us overcome bottlenecks."
Shen Long said solemnly.
He entered a Practice Room and sat cross-legged on a red meditation cushion, beginning to regulate his breathing.
