Hearing what Xiu Wu said, Zhu Lin felt her face getting hotter. She touched her cheek, looked downstairs, and said, "I smell a very fragrant smell downstairs. Did you make anything delicious?"

Xiu Wu nodded, held her hand, and said, "I have prepared a birthday banquet for you. Let’s eat before the food gets cold."

After he said that, the two of them went downstairs. When they arrived at the dining room, Zhu Lin saw Tan Wei, Ji Yang, Lu Qiu, her two disciples, and the children there. Seeing her coming, Qian Yu stood up from his chair and walked up to her with a box in his hand.

He stood in front of her, handed the box to her, and said, "Elder Sister Zhu Lin, I heard that today is your birthday, so my siblings and I prepared something for you. Happy birthday to you, Elder Sister Zhu Lin. May you be happy every day."

Looking at the box, Zhu Lin remembered the birthday banquet her elder brother prepared for her every one thousand years in the Celestial Realms. Although every birthday present she received was the most precious treasure in the Six Realms, she had never truly felt as happy as she does now.

Zhu Lin smiled at Qian Yu, rubbed his head gently, and said, "Thank you, Yu Yu."

Then she looked at the other children with a smile and said, "Thank you, children."

The children were very happy to see her happy face after receiving the birthday present. After that, Tan Wei, Ji Yang, Lu Qiu, Zheng Jinnan, and Shao Yuze also gave her birthday presents that they prepared beforehand.

After everyone handed the birthday present to her, Xiu Wu said, "Let’s eat."

After Zhu Lin sat in the main seat, they started the birthday party in a happy mood. While they were enjoying the food and drinks, the siren suddenly sounded throughout the Wu Lin base. Hearing the siren, Xiu Wu put down his chopsticks and exchanged glances with the others.

A few seconds later, Xiu Wu hurriedly left, followed by Ji Yang, Tan Wei, and Zhu Lin. Looking at their hurried-away figures, Lu Qiu touched his chin thoughtfully. At the same time, the guards stationed at the entrance of Sector E watched in shock as the fog disappeared.

When Zhu Lin and the others arrived, she saw that the illusion barrier she had set up before had been broken. Thinking of someone trying to break through the barrier, Zhu Lin frowned slightly and thought to herself: ’To be able to break through my illusion barrier, this intruder must be quite strong.’

Just as she predicted the intruder’s strength, the illusion barrier finally broke. When the illusion barrier disappears completely, everyone in the Wu Lin base can see the outside world clearly, and the same is true for people outside the illusion barrier.

The next second, a man outside the illusion barrier pointed to the fence in the distance and shouted excitedly: "Look! Is that the Wu Lin base? Did they open the base because they knew we were coming?"

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone else looked in the direction he pointed at. Hearing her words, Tan Wei and Ji Yang opened their eyes in surprise. As for Xiu Wu, he had already ordered the guards to use military vehicles to pick up those people.

At the walking speed of those people, it would take more than two hours for them to reach the entrance of Sector E. But judging from the current rate of temperature drop, he had a hunch that a cold wave would hit before those people reached the base.

Just as those people slowly boarded the military trucks, a guard with vision ability suddenly shouted: "Get in the truck quickly! The cold wave is coming! The estimated time to reach us is six minutes!"

As soon as he finished speaking, those who had not yet boarded the military trucks suddenly fell into panic. Looking at the people pushing each other to get into the military trucks, the captain took out his gun and shot toward the sky.

Following his order, the guards grabbed those who had not yet boarded the military trucks and threw them in, then quickly grabbed the side of the trucks. As they were hanging outside of the trucks, the drivers stepped on the accelerator, and the military trucks quickly drove back to the Wu Lin base.

Zhu Lin and the others who were waiting at the base saw the military trucks being chased by the white fog created because of the cold wave. Seeing that the thick snow made it difficult for those military trucks to drive faster, Xiu Wu said with a slight frown: "They won’t make it on time."
