Chapter 141: Sleeping Together

Xiu Wu nodded, then saw Zhu Lin yawning and said, "It’s getting late. You should go back to your room and rest."

Zhu Lin nodded, stood up, and yawned again. She looked at Xiu Wu and asked, "Aren’t you going home?"

Xiu Wu shook his head, leaned on the old sofa and said, "We have to go out again in a few hours. I can just sleep here."

Zhu Lin looked at his tall figure and long legs, then at the small and old sofa. She thought for a few seconds before asking, "How about you sleep in the guest room?"

When she asked, Xiu Wu looked at her with a helpless smile and asked, "Have you forgotten that all available rooms are used by the children?"

Seeing the troubled look on her face, Xiu Wu patted the old sofa and said, "It’s quite comfortable to sleep here. Don’t worry about me. You should go to bed quickly."

Zhu Lin stared at him for a while and said, "Good night, Xiu Wu."

He smiled at her gently and said, "Good night, Xiao Lin."

After he watched her walking into the bedroom and closing the door, he closed his eyes and wanted to sleep. When Zhu Lin looked at the empty bed, she suddenly remembered that Tu Tu slept with the children tonight. Looking at the empty king-size bed, Zhu Lin suddenly turned her head and looked at the closed door.

After hesitating for a moment, she opened the door again. Xiu Wu heard the sound of her opening the door and opened his eyes. Seeing her standing there staring at him, he raised his eyebrows slightly and asked curiously: "Do you need anything?"

Zhu Lin didn’t answer his question, just looked at him silently. After a moment of silence, she looked away and asked hesitantly: "Xiu Wu... Do you want to sleep in my bedroom?"

When Xiu Wu heard what she just said, his sleepiness disappeared instantly. His eyes flickered and he asked her in a deep voice: "Xiao Lin, are you sure you want to invite me to sleep in your bedroom?"

Zhu Lin glanced at the empty king-size bed, then looked at him. She nodded and said calmly: "Tu Tu will sleep with the children tonight, and I think the empty bed is too big for me to sleep alone. In addition, the sofa is too small for you. We still have to go out later, and I think you won’t be able to sleep well if you sleep on the sofa."

After hearing what she just said, Xiu Wu stared at her for a long time. Zhu Lin looked at his eyes that looked different from usual, tilted her head slightly and said, "If you don’t want to, then forget it. I’m just asking casually."

Invited by the woman he likes, Xiu Wu will happily accept the invitation. When his mind started imagining things inappropriate for children, he stood up from the old sofa and walked over to her.

Not knowing what Zhu Lin was thinking, Xiu Wu breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at her gently and asked with a hint of helplessness in his voice: "Are you afraid of me?"

After coming back to her senses, Zhu Lin turned her head to the side, avoiding his gaze. When Xiu Wu spoke, his warm breath engulfed her and she suddenly felt hot. Zhu Lin felt her face was a little hot, so she quickly pushed Xiu Wu lightly and said, "I’m sleepy. Let’s sleep."

As soon as she said these words, Xiu Wu felt his heart beat faster. When he saw Zhu Lin take out two more pillows from the hanging cabinet, he took a deep breath, and then closed the door. When Zhu Lin was about to lay on the bed, Xiu Wu came to her and hugged her from behind.

Zhu Lin was startled by his sudden hug, turned around and asked with wide eyes: "What are you doing?"
