Chapter 355 - 355 131 Interrogation Tricks

355: Chapter 131: Interrogation Tricks 355: Chapter 131: Interrogation Tricks Li Ping’an never expected that his first experience of pinning someone against the wall would be in the deep sea, enveloped in the dim ocean water, and facing a ‘little’ witch he had met only a few times.

Although it was to disturb her mind and provide cover for Elder Mu’s escape;

But this thing after all is…

In the dense woods near Dong’an City, the masked man and woman were saying their goodbyes.

Sun Yingying waved her hand, “Brother Wenqing, I’m heading back first.”

“Mm, I’m returning to my brother immediately; I probably won’t be back for a while.”

Sun Yingying said, “Or, I can accompany Brother Wenqing to see Big Brother Mo?”

A hint of helplessness appeared in Li Ping’an’s eyes.

Sun Yingying turned and flew toward the treetops, leaving behind, “Just kidding, I have lots of things to be busy with, I’m off.”

Li Ping’an raised his hand in a wave and turned to fly away to the south.

Qing Su’s voice sounded in inquiry, “Disciple, is that witch also fond of you?

Just like Ningning is towards you.”

“Master, you might be misunderstanding.”

Li Ping’an made up some excuses in his mind:

“She is the leader of Happy Valley, deals with too many people every day, and is just used to playacting.”

“If she truly had feelings for the disciple, why would she keep wearing a mask around me?

She would surely find an excuse to show her true face and see the disciple’s reaction.”

“Indeed.”

Qing Su showed a ‘master’s faint understanding.’

Just then, a voice suddenly came from behind:

“Ouch, I’ve fallen!

How did my mask come off?”

Li Ping’an scanned with his Spiritual Sense, only to see Sun Yingying, who possessed strength of the Heavenly Immortal Realm, had actually fallen from a tree, and her ghost mask lay on the grass nearby.

Qing Su whispered, “She’s removed her mask.”

“Run, Master!

We have to go interrogate Huogunsha!”

Smoke appeared under Li Ping’an’s feet as he dashed towards the southwest.

In the forest, Sun Yingying ‘delicately’ sat on the ground, turning her head to watch the retreating figure of Li Ping’an, first making a face, then becoming slightly lost in thought.

He left just like that, without ever looking back.

“Hmph!”

Sun Yingying’s form flashed and vanished in a wisp of blue smoke, obviously returning to Drunken Moon Tower.

When Li Ping’an returned to his residence, Elder Yansheng and Senior Xu Sheng had already interrogated Huogunsha once.

Inside the underground chamber, both seniors appeared rather troubled.

Qing Su detached from Li Ping’an’s chest and stepped lightly to Huogunsha’s side, pressing a finger on his chest, then she frowned slightly.

Elder Yansheng puffed on his dry pipe, speaking slowly, “His Primordial Spirit has been placed under an unsolvable restriction; any forceful search will directly shatter it, we can only make him speak himself.”

Li Ping’an’s eyes lit up, “Can I learn it?

This kind of restriction?”

He looked up at Wen Ling’er, who was idly daydreaming in the room.

Always keeping Wen Ling’er confined at home seemed somewhat inhumane; he really should leave her to cultivate in the mountains.

“Ping’an,” Xu Sheng asked, “what should we do now?”

“First, let’s interrogate him using standard methods,” Li Ping’an said, “If we can’t pry his mouth open, I have a secret technique to use.”

The two elders’ eyes brightened.

Xu Sheng knew that Li Ping’an was the sole formal disciple of Teacher Yun Zhongzi; if he wasn’t a formal disciple, how could the teacher’s personal Spiritual Treasure have been passed down to him?

When Li Ping’an said he had a secret technique, Xu Sheng naturally thought of the Cangyue Bead.

Elder Yansheng asked, “Should we disguise ourselves while interrogating this person?

The restriction on his Primordial Spirit might allow other experts to peek at us through his eyes.”

“Then let’s put on some thrilling-style masks.”

Li Ping’an took out twelve beast masks from his ring.

He had prepared these for when he pretended to be a Demon Cultivator; all twelve masks were in the same style, white with blood-red stains, and a cold smile at the corners of the mouth, each modelled after the twelve zodiac animals he was most familiar with.

“This is indeed interesting.”

Xu Sheng casually chose an ‘ox mask’ and held it up to his face, saying with a laugh:

“The artifact refining technique is a bit rough.”

“This one looks quite cute,” Qing Su picked a ‘rabbit mask’ and covered up her beautiful face.

Elder Yansheng thought carefully and chose a rat mask.

—The elder also took into account that young people like something impressive, and this rat mask looked the most cunning; his selection was intentional.

Li Ping’an randomly picked up a sheep mask and placed it on his face.

The four approached the unconscious Huogunsha, forming a circle around him, and looked down at the fainted Huogunsha.

Slap!

Senior Xu Sheng struck with a palm, and Huogunsha’s Heavenly Immortal Dao Body trembled, visibly swelling on his face as he opened his eyes, inhaling sharply.

Xu Sheng said gravely, “Huogunsha, do you acknowledge your crimes?”

“Heh, hehehe, hahaha!”

‘Huogunsha’, Zeng Yimu, laughed with hollowness in his eyes:

“I have fallen for your tricks!

No need for more words, just kill me!”

Senior Xu Sheng swung another slap, sending a few of Huogunsha’s teeth flying to the side.

Elder Yansheng spoke gently, “Now that your mask is removed, I do have some recollection of you, Zeng Yimu, right?

You were once a respected senior among Loose Cultivators, why would you serve the Blood Fiend Hall?

Over the years, the number of innocent souls buried by your hands must be many, I’m afraid.”

Zeng Yimu, having his name revealed, had a glimmer in his eyes and laughed bitterly, “Since the day I became the Fire Fiend, I had become inhuman; but I do not regret it.

Give me a quick death and do not let me look down on you!”

Senior Xu Sheng solidly kicked him.

Zeng Yimu’s stone chair shattered upon impact, and he convulsed all over, lowering his head and vomiting blood.

But he still had a cold smile on his face and showed no intention of speaking.

Li Ping’an sighed, “Being of the Human Race, why be loyal to the Blood Fiend Hall and its Demon Cultivator horde?”
