Chapter 1242: Chapter 443: Seeking Wealth in Danger

When Li Ping’an hurried back to support the Phoenix Clan, a voice kept echoing in his mind.

“Did we ever act discourteously in front of Ancestral Master Hongjun?”

After attending a class taught by the Transcender, Li Ping’an’s strength had greatly increased; he could defeat a Mighty One while lying in bed, battle the weakest Taiyi when out of bed, and had even survived a direct punch from Calamity Master.

Of course, his arm shattered that time, which was quite unfortunate.

But then…

Is Hongjun this powerful?

Hongjun is so strong, yet he hasn’t transcended. If his Transcender Teacher comes to the Chaos Sea, is his strength above Hongjun’s?

If his teacher and Hongjun joined forces to take control over the Vast Wilderness Heaven and Earth, could the future Heavenly Dao Six Saints stand a chance?

But don’t forget, the Hongmeng Purple Qi was released by his Transcender Teacher and Hongjun. Would they create six irremovable enemies for themselves? It makes no logical sense.

Li Ping’an pondered all the way, and in the end, reminded himself to pay more respect to Hongjun.

Thus, when he declared, ‘Ancestral Master Hongjun has given the command,’ his voice was filled with emotion, resonant, and none of the immortals doubted.

“Your Majesty!”

Seeing Li Ping’an and the Roc Bird return, Kong Xuan led the Phoenix Clan warriors to bow in salute from afar, and exclaimed:

“The Phoenix Clan is indebted to Your Majesty for saving our lives, not knowing how to repay!”

“Ah, my friend, please stand up quickly.”

Li Ping’an jumped off the Roc Bird’s back, approached Kong Xuan, and helped him to stand.

Li Ping’an felt slightly ashamed; he hadn’t done anything substantial, merely redirected disaster eastward.

Hurriedly, he said: “Let’s not talk about great debts; earlier, I led the group of Innate Gods and Demons to Zixiao Palace, where Ancestral Master Hongjun obliterated them and warned us repeatedly that Kunpeng’s target is the Undying Volcano and Primordial Phoenix. We must hurry to their aid!”

Kong Xuan’s handsome and delicately balanced face showed hints of difficulty.

Glancing at the Daoist Immortals around, he sighed: “The Undying Volcano is of great importance; I request everyone to enter as well. Kunpeng’s soul should have entered the mysterious realm, and the arrangements here should be able to block Kunpeng for a while.”

After speaking, Kong Xuan took out the Pu Fan and gently waved it towards the feet of the immortals.

The chaotic aura unfurled into Five-Colored Divine Light, drifting slowly to the sides, revealing an entrance the size of a well, surrounded by dense rays of misty light.

Kong Xuan continued: “This is the only path to the Undying Volcano which is also a part of the Vast Wilderness Heaven and Earth, floating in the southwest, neither real nor imaginary, very profound. If the Undying Volcano erupts, at least thirty percent of creatures in the Vast Wilderness will face calamities.”

Zhao Gongming stroked his beard and mused: “Since it’s the only path, this poor Daoist shall guard the entrance to prevent Kunpeng from escaping. Only Kunpeng should have entered, right?”

Kong Xuan nodded slightly: “It should be, besides myself and the Roc Bird, only Kunpeng knows how to enter and exit.”

Chi Jingzi added: “Though that group of Innate Gods and Demons has scattered, Calamity Master and the fiendish demons he leads are hiding somewhere, so this poor Daoist shall guard here as well.”

Taoist Compassionate Ferry, Immortal Huanglong, and Qiongxiao Celestial Maiden each nodded.

They were reluctant to continue wading into this muddle.

Zhao Gongming and Qiong Xiao knew Taoist Duobao had already entered; their elder brother likely wouldn’t leave any benefits in his path, and dealing with Kunpeng’s soul wouldn’t require too many experts—a couple of strong helpers would suffice.

“Time is of the essence,” Li Ping’an urged, “Immortal Uncle Ling protect me, let’s hurry inside.”

“Indeed.”

Kong Xuan bowed with a Daoist salute, issued commands to the Phoenix Clan warriors, with the four strongest warriors following Kong Xuan inside first, and others waiting for news to enter and provide support anytime.

The Roc Bird and Guiling followed Li Ping’an closely, about to transform into a stream of light to enter the colorful entrance, when Qing Su suddenly spoke from the side.

“Disciple, I shall go too.”

Li Ping’an instinctively wanted to refuse, as the Undying Volcano is no benign place.

But as he turned, he saw his master’s eyes filled with anticipation, rarely showing such a look.

“Alright, Master should protect the disciple nearby,” Li Ping’an chuckled, “We are just going to broaden our horizons; the Undying Volcano should have some connection with the Heavenly Dao, not knowing whether the Heavenly Dao’s treasures can come into play.”

The white robe fluttered.

Qing Su stood beside Li Ping’an, sword at the ready, expression solemn.

The four figures transformed into streams of light and dived into the entrance.

Zhao Gongming activated twenty-four Dinghai Divine Beads, arranged into a grand formation around the entrance, ensuring not even a mosquito could fly out from there.

Beneath the entrance lay a dark, long, and somewhat narrow passage.

Upon entering, the chaotic, indistinct laws had receded, as if returning to the Vast Wilderness Heaven and Earth where the laws manifest and everything falls into place.

The streams of light they transformed into flew rapidly along the passage.

In Li Ping’an’s perception, they were getting closer to the Vast Wilderness Heaven and Earth, but their goal wasn’t to enter the Vast Wilderness; instead, they traveled near the boundary between the void and reality, searching along the wondrous zone where emptiness and truth merge.

In a moment, the road ahead opened up.

The blackness was dispelled by a warm orange glow, greeted by a sandy beach and sea water emanating a faint golden light.

A beach? Sea water?

Li Ping’an thought the Undying Volcano would be a place of extreme desolation, but the scene before him seemed… rather cozy.

Thinking thus, they flew out of the passage and reached above the beach, stopping their flight in unison.

Li Ping’an spread his Immortal Consciousness rapidly, his gaze searching all around for information.

This place seemed like a complete small world, with a somewhat low sky, an island surrounded by water, covered by an oval light dome, and turning to look, they saw a well-sized hole in the sky — that was their path.
