Chapter 130 - 130: Meeting the Neighbor
As Alexander caressed her soft and spotless skin, it felt as though it had been carved by the heavens themselves.
Aeloria trembled beneath his touch, warmth spreading through her body. She could not help but feel hot from the sensation.
Realizing her reaction, Alexander immediately pulled his hand back.
"Ah, sorry about that," he said quietly, then stood up from the bed.
"Do not stand or move around for now. Just rest here for a while, I'll bring you some food and after that I will go buy something for you at the nearest convenience store," he added before turning toward the door.
Aeloria gave a small nod, and Alexander quietly stepped out of the room.
After a short while, he returned carrying a plate of food, the same dish she had started cooking earlier, along with a bottle of water.
It was a simple yet thoughtful breakfast in bed. He placed it gently on the nightstand beside her and handed her his phone.
"You can use this for now," he said. "I don't really use it much anyway, but it might help pass the time."
With that, he left her to rest and headed to the kitchen to prepare a meal for Anya.
Once her food was ready, he brought it out and waited patiently as the little girl ate. When she finished, he stood and gave her a smile.
"I'll be heading out for a bit," he said.
But before he could take a step, Anya rushed over and grabbed the edge of his shirt, stopping him in place.
"Big brother Alex, can I go with you?" Anya asked, her voice soft and filled with hope as she looked up at him.
Alexander paused. He knew the little girl had been cooped up inside the house for days, and part of him wanted to say yes.
But then he remembered Aeloria, who was resting upstairs and not feeling well. If he took Anya with him, there would be no one left to watch over her.
With a gentle sigh, he lowered himself to Anya's eye level and placed a hand on her small shoulder.
"Anya, your big sister is not feeling well today," Alexander said gently.
"So I need you to stay here and keep an eye on her for me. I'm just going out to buy something and I'll be back quickly."
He gave her a soft pat on the head.
"And don't be sad. Once your big sister feels better, we can all go out and play together. Alright?"
Anya looked up at him with worried eyes. She was not happy, but the moment she heard her big sister was unwell, her anxious heart outweighed her disappointment.
Without another word, she turned and quietly made her way to Alexander's room, where Aeloria was still resting.
Alexander watched her go, then stepped out of the house. He had something important to take care of, and time was not on his side.
As Alexander stepped outside the house, he immediately noticed a car parked just beyond the gate.
Standing nearby were Andre Bon and Lewis, engaged in conversation with a blonde-haired woman.
The moment he saw her, recognition flashed through his mind. He remembered clearly who she was.
He quickened his pace.
From a distance, the blonde woman spotted him approaching. With a graceful motion, she raised her hand and waved. Alexander responded with a small wave of his own.
"Mr. Alexander, good morning," Jessica greeted him with a professional smile.
Alexander gave a small nod in return.
"Is there any problem, Mrs. Jessica?" he asked, slightly curious.
It was still early in the morning, and unexpected visits were rare to come this early.
"Nothing like that," Jessica replied with a pleasant tone.
"I just came to introduce you to a new neighbor. They also bought a manor, just like yours."
As she finished speaking, the door of the car opened. A man in a black suit stepped out. He appeared to be in his middle years, with neatly combed black hair and a firm posture. From the way he carried himself, it was clear, this was a man with experience and strength.
Alexander narrowed his eyes, studying the man carefully. There was something different about him. Something sharp and restrained.
The man returned his gaze, just as focused, just as unreadable.
"Strong," Alexander muttered to himself.
The driver was no ordinary man. He could feel it, this one was even stronger than the opponent he had fought at the warehouse.
"A cultivator?" the thought crossed his mind.
At the same time, the middle-aged man felt a growing sense of suspicion. The young man standing before him radiated something unnatural.
Beneath that calm expression, the middle-aged man could sense it clearly it's an aura of invincibility wrapped around the young man like an unseen mantle.
This was no ordinary youth. He had the air of someone who had been through much, someone forged in conflict.
Still, the man felt no fear. In this remote place, he believed there was no one who could truly stand against him. Even if the young man's background was mysterious, so what?
Just then, the back door of the car opened. A woman stepped out with grace, her presence turning the air still.
She was tall and mesmerizing, every movement was refined and elegant. The way she carried herself made it clear, she was not someone ordinary.
What caught Alexander's eye immediately were the graceful curves of her figure, especially those two round melons making her clothes clung to her chest, emphasizing her natural beauty.
Yet it was not just her appearance that stood out. There was something more.
He could feel it in the air around her, an unmistakable sense of nobility. It was unlike anything he had sensed from any other woman he had met.
She was not lacking in beauty, presence, or background. Even without knowing her name, Alexander could already guess the truth. Just by the strength of her driver alone, it was clear. The owner must be someone unfathomable.
Catherine met his gaze, and for a brief moment, their eyes locked.
She was used to stares filled with lust or envy. But this time, it was different. His eyes held no greed, no hunger.
Only quiet admiration. And strangely, she did not feel disgusted by it. For the first time, she found herself curious.
Her eyes were sharp, trained by experience to read the hidden desires of every man she encountered.
But this time, there was nothing twisted or possessive in his gaze. Only pure admiration.
It was the first time she had seen such clarity, and it made her nod slightly in approval.
"Hello, neighbor. My name is Catherine," she said with a graceful smile, extending her hand toward him.
"I did not expect someone so young to be this capable."
Alexander accepted the handshake, his grip firm but brief. He let go after a second and returned her gaze.
"Nice to meet you as well, Mrs. Catherine," Alexander replied politely.
"You must have already heard a bit about me from Mrs. Jessica, but just to formally introduce myself, my name is Alexander Aurelious."
The moment his last name left his lips, both Catherine and the man named Ron reacted subtly.
"Can you say your last name again?" Catherine asked, her voice unusually serious.
Alexander looked at her, slightly puzzled by the sudden shift.
"Aurelious," he repeated, clear and calm.
"I see. Alexander Aurelious..." she echoed slowly, her tone soft but thoughtful.
Then she smiled, though a hint of something deeper stirred behind her eyes.
"My last name is Montrose. Catherine Montrose." she added.
Alexander looked at her, his face full of confusion. He nodded silently, unsure of what to say. An awkward silence fell between them.
Seeing this, Jessica tried to lighten the mood, hoping they could start a friendly conversation, but Alexander raised his hand gently to stop her from speaking.
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Catherine and Mrs. Jessica. I'm going out to buy something urgent, so maybe next time," he said politely before turning away.
Hearing this, Jessica was stunned and shocked. Even Catherine did not expect it.
She was known as the most renowned woman in the world, not only for her beauty but also for her intellect.
Because of her, their family business blossomed five times over, making her the most talented businesswoman of her generation.
She had been invited by every wealthy individual worth billions, including several high-ranking politicians. But this time, she was not invited at all.
Ron, upon hearing this, felt deeply unsatisfied and was about to move, but she gently raised her hand to stop her uncle.
Alexander saw the aggressive look from the driver, yet he felt no anger. To him, the man was nothing more than an ant, someone he could crush if he truly wanted to.
"Well then, let's talk next time, Young Master Alexander. If you ever want to visit, just come to my place and we'll entertain you properly," she said with a calm smile, offering him an invitation.
Alexander simply nodded, "Then, I'll take my leave," he replied, turning around and walking down the road, leaving the three of them behind.
Ron was burning with anger, his fists clenched tightly, but Catherine placed a firm hand on his arm. If she had not stopped him, he might have truly lashed out.
"Don't be impulsive, Uncle. He seems to be really busy. Let's just go back to our place. I want to rest," she said to him calmly.
"Okay, Young Miss. But do you think he's related to that family?" Ron asked in a whisper.
"I believe so. There's no way a normal wealthy person could afford to buy this entire manor," she replied.
"That's why, Uncle, don't cause trouble. If he really is a member of that family, it will bring problems we can't afford to face," Jessica added with a serious tone.
"Hmph, Young Miss, we are not afraid. They only fought those low ranked sects. We get that they are really strong, but they are not invincible. Besides, it's been years. That story is old, and many of us have grown stronger since then," he said firmly.
Jessica shook her head, "We know that, Uncle. But attracting trouble is never a good idea. We came here to take a vacation, not to cause problems," she replied.
Hearing this, he could only nod and give in. Jessica had worked tirelessly for the rise of their family, and he knew better than to argue once she had made up her mind.
With that, they got inside the car and drove off. Jessica remained quiet, unaware of what they had been talking about.
She was never the type to pry into things she was not meant to know, and she had no intention of being gossipy.
