Chapter 189: Unknown Omega

The unknown man was elegant and poised, sitting with his back straight and his long legs crossed. He was tall, very tall, it was easy to tell even when he was sitting. Perhaps not as tall as Kade, but tall nonetheless. However, despite his height, he was still unmistakably an Omega. His slender figure with gentle curves, his soft, glowing skin, and his beautiful facial figure... It was almost impossible for him to be taken for an Alpha or a Beta, one must have had to be blind!

And the way he dressed highlighted all those qualities well. Right now, with the slight flush adorning his cheeks - it must have been a family trait. There was a lot of resemblance between him and Fen, from his white hair and blue eyes, to their facial features, although the Omega’s were more delicate - he looked seductive, even though his expression was polite, with not even a hint of lustfulness to it.

An Omega, drinking at Kade’s room at this hour... Some might be jealous, but Felix didn’t think much of it. The Omega was sitting away from Kade, on a different sofa, and they weren’t alone - Fen was drinking with them. There was no doubt in Felix’s mind that there wasn’t anything inappropriate going on. He wasn’t one of those who thought that Alphas and Omegas couldn’t be ’just friends’, and besides... He wasn’t together with Kade, and had no plans to be. Because of the pack reasons, and so on.

"Temporary?" Kade twisted his face with displeasure at the Omega’s words. "Why do you have to say it like that?"

The Omega arched his slim, white brows. "Haven’t you said so yourself? That he doesn’t want to stay his permanently?"

"Well, yeah, but..." Kade tried to protest, but the Omega shook his head with a light chuckle.

"Temporary can always lead to permanent. But you shouldn’t put too much pressure on him right from the start, or it might scare him away!"

Although Kade was still displeased, his expression eased a lot at that. When put that way...

He dropped the topic, turning to Felix instead. "How was your trip with my mother?"

"It... was great," Felix answered politely. "We have bought a lot of clothes. That’s why I’m busy now."

"Well, then we should definitely help you. I can’t wait to see them!"

Felix’s face turned pale.

Anything but that! He had already had to change soooo many times today, he really didn’t have the energy to put on another fashion show for Kade!

"Now, now. He’s staying in the pack now, so you will have plenty of opportunities to see him in new clothes. I’m sure Luna had put him through a lot today, we should give him a break," the Omega came to Felix’s rescue. "I’m Caelan Dawn, by the way, Fen’s cousin. You can call me Cael."

Cael? If he remembered correctly, Kade had mentioned him before. He was supposed to be very respected among the young Omegas, or something like that.

"Nice to meet you," Felix nodded his head. "I’m Felix."

Just Felix. Cael probably already knew who Felix was, but Felix still didn’t want to say his surname. Not the one he got from his father, at least. But introducing himself with his mother’s surname, as he had done in Silverfall, didn’t seem right either, since it wasn’t the name he had in his documents...

His documents which had all been left behind at the Moonhill Pack, but still.

Luckily, Cael didn’t seem to mind this unfinished introduction. He just smiled at Felix, and said, "Nice to meet you as well. Do you want to join us for a little drink? I would like to finally get to know you, as I’ve heard so much about you from Kade and Fen!"

...Ugh.

Just as he thought that Cael had saved him from being bothered by Kade, he had to ask him to join them as well...

Felix pressed his lips, hesitating for a moment. He wasn’t in the mood, and he’d much rather just unpack in peace, then go to bed. But on the other hand, it would be good for him to get to know Cael. It would be helpful for him during his stay in the Bloodmoon Pack to maintain at least some connections - after all, he couldn’t (and didn’t want to) just count on Kade, and if he were alone all the time, Felix might get lonely... Especially now that his usual furry company was no longer by his side. By his choice, but still.

Looking for one last excuse, Felix glanced back... But Vivi was sleeping peacefully in her crib. At least for now, he couldn’t use her to talk himself out of the situation. So, he let out a sigh, and nodded his head.

"Just one drink."

"Great!" Kade grinned, flashing his teeth, and stood up, grabbing another glass from the shelf. He then took a few whisky stones from the mini fridge, and filled the glass with the amber liquid. He put it on the coffee table, near his own, as he took a seat back on the sofa. "There. Come, sit down!" he said, tapping the spot right next to him.

Felix stepped into the room, leaving the door open, in case Vivi woke up. He wanted to grab his glass and sit down next to Cael...

But Fen was faster. Before Felix could move with his glass, he had already occupied the spot he wanted. Of course, there was still space left on the sofa... But if he insisted on sitting there, it would look weird. Why squeeze with two other men, when there was a lot of free space next to Kade? Besides, as annoying as the Alpha could sometimes be, it’s not like Felix detested his presence (or his touch)... So, after a moment of hesitation, he finally took a seat.

At the very edge of the sofa.

As far away from Kade as possible.

"Pfft!" Fen couldn’t hold back his laughter at this show. His cousin was better at controlling his expression, but even he had to take a sip of his drink to conceal his amused smile. As for Kade...

Kade furrowed his brows...

And scooted closer to Felix. So close that their thighs touched! A bit more, and he would end up on Felix’s lap. Which, of course, wasn’t his intention - he didn’t want to crush his future ’cute little mate’... But if the roles were reversed...

Feeling Felix’s body heat, his frown turned into a smile.

Meanwhile, Felix felt as if he was about to faint...
