I Would Rather Be a Rogue [BL] -
Chapter 176: Fancy Suite
Chapter 176: Fancy Suite
Perhaps Felix had judged Kade too harshly, too fast. Yes, the Alpha did trick him into staying in the same room...
But the ’room’ that he had gotten for them was a two-bedroom suite. Two rooms with two massive beds, two bathrooms - one ’smaller’, with ’just’ a shower and a regular bath, while the other large, and with a hot tub - and a spacious living room with a kitchenette and a balcony. There was also a crib prepared for Vivi in one of the rooms.
In other words, although they stayed in ’one room’, that didn’t mean they were forced to sleep together.
...Felix had to admit, he didn’t expect Kade to be so considerate.
Although at the same time, when he thought about how much money Kade must have spent on this one-night stay...
"Because there were no empty rooms, I had no choice but to pick this suite," Kade said with a heavy sigh, trailing behind Felix as the Omega explored the rooms. "However, we can still sleep in one bed if you prefer... Just because there are two beds, that doesn’t mean we have to use both of them!"
Felix threw him an unamused glance. "Since there are two, it would be a waste not to use them. It’s not like you can get your money back just because we didn’t use one of them!"
"But if we do that, then we will be giving the housekeepers more work for no reason..." Kade tried to argue back, but Felix interrupted him.
"If you’re so worried, then you can sleep on the couch, problem solved!" he said, as he shut the door to one of the rooms right in front of Kade. "Good night, Young Master Kade!"
He wasn’t about to be swayed by Kade’s arguments. Besides, he didn’t know what the job of a hotel housekeeper was like. Maybe they had to change the sheets even if they looked untouched, especially at such a fancy place? In which case, Felix’s sacrifice would have been pointless!
He closed the door to his room, but he didn’t lock it. Since he had told Kade ’no’, he trusted that the Alpha wouldn’t try to secretly sneak into his bed at night... Not to mention, after tonight, he would be staying with the Bloodmoon Pack. He was going to be in Kade’s territory all the time... If he couldn’t trust the Alpha for one night, how was he supposed to live from now on?
On the other side of the door, Kade’s steps moved away. Soon, Felix heard the sound of the water coming from the other bathroom, and not long after, the creaking of the bed. The Alpha seemed to have gone to sleep.
So, Felix did the same. He checked Vivi’s diaper, washed his teeth and face, quickly got changed into pajamas, and threw himself on the bed. Although he didn’t think he’d be able to fall asleep, he wanted to at least try to lie down...
Surprisingly, not long after his head hit the pillow, his eyelids started getting heavier and heavier, until eventually they closed on their own...
When he opened his eyes again, it was already bright outside. Vivi was crying in her crib, demanding to be fed. As for Felix...
He was still alone in bed, the door closed, just as he left it. There was no hint of Kade’s scent on the sheets either.
Kade hadn’t come.
Felix exhaled with relief. Truth be told, he wouldn’t actually mind it so much to share the bed with the Alpha, but what he was concerned about was Kade respecting his boundaries.
And so far, Kade had passed the test. Although the man liked to step on top of the lines that Felix drew, he had never gone too far.
Just as he climbed off the bed to check on Vivi, there came the sound of knocking on the door.
"Are you awake?" Kade asked. "Breakfast will be delivered in fifteen minutes."
"Yes, I’ll be out soon," Felix answered, picking up Vivi from the crib. Fifteen minutes... He had just about enough time to feed her, he would have to shower after breakfast, then.
When he came out of his room a while later, still in his pajamas, the table was already set with a selection of dishes. Too many for just two people. And not just any breakfast dishes - Felix had expected a slightly nicer version of the continental breakfast buffets that he had seen in the hotels and motels that he had stayed in during the few weeks he had wandered around the country after running away from the Moonhill Pack...
But what awaited him surpassed any expectations. In the center of the table, there were oysters with eggs and slices of beef, with edible gold flakes sprinkled on top. Then, there were muffins with ham, bacon, and poached eggs - eggs Benedict, but looking far fancier than any eggs Benedict that Felix had ever seen, be it in real life, or on the screen in the movies. Then there was a rich salad, a selection of sweet and savory pastries, fluffy pancakes, omelets, french toast... ’Common’ breakfast food, at least in theory, but none of them actually looked so common! Not to mention the sheer amount...
"Is it not up to your taste?" Kade asked, seeing that Felix was still just standing in front of the table, without taking a seat. "We can have something else delivered, here’s the menu..."
"No need," Felix lifted his hand, stopping Kade from pushing the hotel’s room service menu his way, and finally plopped down on the chair. They already had so much food, even if Felix was a picky eater - which he wasn’t - he’d find something that would suit his taste! Besides,
"We should have just went to the breakfast buffet," he muttered. "Or is there no such thing in a fancy hotel?"
"There is, but..." Kade glanced at his phone. "I’m afraid it’s already too late."
Felix’s eyes widened, as he noticed the time. It was already past 1 PM! Just how long did he sleep? And...
"When’s the checkout?"
"2 PM... But don’t worry about it, if we don’t make it, then I can just pay for one more night," Kade reassured.
But Felix wasn’t reassured at all! Even if it wasn’t his money, that would be such a waste! So, he quickly grabbed one of the toasts from the nearest plate and bit into it. He had to hurry up and finish eating, so that he can still shower before they left...
As he took a bite of the food, his eyes momentarily widened. It was delicious! Not only the meal looked fancy, but it tasted even better! The toast was so soft and fluffy, melting in his mouth...
He didn’t get to savor the taste for long, because Kade soon spoke up again.
"We still need to discuss how to introduce you to the pack..."
Felix froze with the toast in his hand.
That’s right. He had been in such a rush to leave Silverfall that he hadn’t really considered it... But with his identity, coming to the Bloodmoon Pack was quite troublesome, which was one of the reasons why he had been so insistent not to do it in the first place!
