Chapter 336: Chapter 26 Kill! Kill! Liang Si, Sorry!
The following day, early morning.
Divine Dynasty, Divine Capital.
One after another, blurred figures stood within the palace, exuding a formidable aura that was peerless in this world.
Each of them, placed in the Human World, was an existence that all living beings would kneel to and revere.
At this moment, however, they each bent their bodies and bowed, their eyes filled with unease as they looked at the slender figure seated on the Imperial Throne.
Su Yao sat beside the young man, watching the anxious courtiers with a hint of ridicule flashing in her eyes.
What happened to the aggressive aura you all had before?
"Hui, Golden Maple Temple has defied the Divine Dynasty, spreading faith in the North, their rebellious hearts and acts are known to all."
A middle-aged monk, his physique withered yet with an air of dignity, clasped his hands together and stepped out from the crowd.
"Imperial Consort, you are prejudiced against us..."
Shzzt!
A crimson sword light, vanished in a flash.
The Divine Soul was obliterated, consciousness plummeting into darkness.
A large bald head rolled from the neck.
Buddha’s Blood of gold gushed forth, scattering and splashing onto the bodies of those around.
Yet, not one person dared to wipe it off, their expressions filled with terror as they looked at the indifferent and merciless figure upon the steps.
"I did not permit you to speak, no need for further words," Liang Hui leaned against the Imperial Throne, supporting his cheek with one hand.
Su Yao’s mouth curved into a chilling smile as her gaze looked down from the high platform at the many mighty beings.
"Taiqing Sect, covertly supporting the remnants of the Shangqing Sect, repeatedly destroying Divine Dynasty structures, slaughtering dispatched personnel."
As the woman’s voice fell, the entire palace fell into silence.
All eyes were cast towards the young man, waiting for him to speak.
Liang Hui, one hand propping up his cheek, his other hand’s palm pressed on the armrest, fingertips bent, tapping lightly.
"Since that is the case, you may die!"
He allowed no rebuttal, no chance to speak, only the coldest intent to kill.
"Tyrant, Great Demon, you..." an old Taoist with a goatee screeched frantically.
He unleashed various secret techniques aimed at the Imperial Throne as his body hurriedly retreated, attempting to flee the Divine Capital.
Shzzt!
A crimson sword light, flashed by.
All the secret techniques shattered upon contact, as if they were mere jokes.
The old man who had taken only half a step was instantly minced into flesh.
The young man tapped his fingertip against the armrest.
"Continue!"
"The Zhao, Li, Wine, and Tian clans..."
"Your Majesty, we have intelligence that there are forces from beyond our realm..."
Death!
Sword light flashed, four clan leaders instantly fell.
One by one, forces were announced.
Regardless of resistance or compliance, they were all put to death.
Blood suffused the entire palace, and every living figure bowed their heads, waiting for fate’s judgment.
Only then did they remember by what means the Human Emperor had put an end to the chaotic Human World.
It was through killing!
From beginning to end, all those who opposed, all those who defied, were slaughtered.
Now, no one dared to question the concern that the Human Emperor was not a being of this world, nor did anyone dare to express displeasure with the arrival of the Divine Court’s Divine Generals.
Until in the end, Su Yao simply stopped recounting the acts of defiance, naming only names.
With each name uttered, someone would perish.
Outside the Divine Capital, Pure Yang Sword Qi also descended from the Vault of Heaven, completely annihilating the forces behind each named individual.
Until only a third of the living remained within the palace.
Su Yao then reined in the chilling killing intent on her face, extending her hand to brush away the loose strands of hair on her forehead.
"That will be all, the rest of you here have taken no act of defiance."
Whew~
All those who remained alive let out a sigh of relief.
They had survived this purge.
Liang Hui raised his head, his hands resting on the armrests, looking at the figure standing in the center with a green-gold face and protruding fangs.
"Old zombie, clean up the palace."
"As commanded, Divine Emperor’s Command!"
The old zombie stepped out of the crowd, quickly absorbing the essence of blood and flesh from the ground.
Afterward, the young man looked at the surviving people.
"The rest of you may leave."
"Remember, if you are loyal to the Divine Dynasty, the Divine Dynasty will not fail you."
"We shall bear in mind the teachings of Your Majesty."
The court officials bent their waists to thank and, step by step on bloodied ground, backed away.
As the court officials left,
Tang Tang, who had remained silent sitting across from Liang Hui, finally spoke with a hint of regret,
"Those hidden presences didn’t make a move."
"It doesn’t matter, they can’t hide for long."
Liang Hui’s palm lightly waved, and strands of Qi from the ground gathered in his hand.
He glanced at the blood and then took it into his embrace.
His figure slowly rose to its feet, stepping forward to leave.
"During this time, you should cultivate and turn yesterday’s gains into strength."
"I will handle matters of the Divine Dynasty and the Divine Court."
"Alright."
The two women nodded in agreement.
Liang Hui’s figure, too, vanished from the palace.
Tang Tang glanced at the woman beside him, rose, and then disappeared from his seat.
Only Su Yao and the old zombie were left in the palace.
"Hui, after eradicating a vast number of forces, have someone take care of things once the elder has finished absorbing the flesh and blood," Su Yao instructed.
"Yes, Empress."
The old zombie bowed deeply, his ghastly face showing respect.
Elsewhere,
Liang Hui arrived at a side hall located behind the Divine Capital.
Creak!
Pushing open the vermilion gate, a great surge of the Power of Faith gushed forth.
Striding forward against the flow of faith, he entered the side hall.
Three colossal statues appeared before him – an elder, a youth, and a woman.
They were Liu Yunhai, Liang Si, and Song Xi.
However, the statues of Song Xi and Liu Yunhai no longer bore any trace of the divine.
Only the statue resembling Liang Si gathered a tremendous amount of the Power of Faith, radiating pure white light from within.
It was nurturing the increasingly powerful spirit and flesh within the statue.
"Big Brother, is that you?"
A weak voice emanated from the statue.
Liang Hui’s steps came to a sudden halt, he opened his mouth but found himself momentarily unsure of what to say.
He had, after all, wronged this blood relative!
During their escape, he made the best choice, entrusting Xiao Si to the Yuanyang Sect.
But he had lost that gamble!
The essence of the soul had been eroded, the origins of the blood extracted; even hatred and resentment were exploited to a tragic extent.
This was why, despite Tang Tang’s dissuasion and Qing Yi’s obstruction, he still resolved to eradicate the Yuanyang Sect utterly, sparing not a single soul.
The hatred was too intense, mixed with a measure of guilt; killing off just a few high-ranking members of the Yuanyang Sect could never be enough to quell it.
After a long silence, a hoarse voice finally emerged from Liang Hui,
"Xiao Si, I’m sorry!"
"You’ve suffered."
"Big Brother, it’s okay, Sister Su Yao has told me a lot."
"Given the circumstances, with the world so vast and filled with treacherous people, Big Brother had to do it, otherwise, both of us would have perished at the hands of the Yuanyang Sect."
The statue flickered as if to comfort the young man.
Liang Hui’s eyes softened, and with a wave of his palm, all the Power of Faith accelerated the refining process and poured into the statue.
"Does Su Yao often come to visit you?"
"Ever since I regained consciousness, Sister Su Yao often comes to chat with me," replied the weak voice from the statue.
"Long ago, after the old hag from the Demon Spirit Sect extracted my soul and bloodlines, it was Sister Su Yao who saved me with Precious Medicine and also took me to eat Exotic Beast meat."
"Big Brother, the meat of the Exotic Beast was so delicious, far better than any soup cake."
"It’s a shame I only ate it once before the Demon Spirit Sect imprisoned me. I wish I could have it again."
The voice was full of longing, unreserved.
Liang Hui withdrew his hand and looked serious, "You’ll be back soon, and then I’ll take you to taste the myriad delicacies of the world."
"Thank you, Big Brother," came the voice from the statue, now growing weaker.
"Rest now, the harsh winter has passed, and there is nothing more to worry about."
The side hall gradually fell into silence.
After a while, a beam of Pure Yang Sword Light flew out from the side hall, quickly arriving at the grand hall’s staircase.
It transformed into a Crimson Jade Dagger, floating before Su Yao.
"Thank you!"
Following that, it automatically hung itself by Su Yao’s waist, next to the five-layered Blue Tower.
