Chapter 256 - 13 Divine Emperor: Slaughtering You, a Breath of Relief

Chapter 256: Chapter 13 Divine Emperor: Slaughtering You, a Breath of Relief

Liang Hui stood above the vault of heaven, his black hair billowing, gaze lowered, an expression of satisfaction on his face.

The moonlight at that moment retracted, and the bright moon also began to fade.

With a summoning motion of his palm, a silver brilliance rose and floated into his hand.

That silver, circular Jade Pendant was etched with intricate and mysterious patterns.

The youth fiddled with the pendant momentarily before attaching it to his waist.

This was a Magic Artifact crafted by Liang Hui in Silver Rock City, not particularly remarkable, but sufficient.

He took a step and descended from the sky to the place where Peng Hong had crashed.

In view was a kilometer-wide crater with a Peng corpse prone on the ground.

More than half of the Peng bird’s body, along with its head, was no longer visible, and golden Demon Blood spread across the earth.

A member of the Demon Tribe’s Royal Clan, from the Heavenly Roc Tribe, had fallen.

Such news spreading would shake all living beings within a million miles of the mountains and rivers, and the Howling Moon Tribe would not remain calm, surely doing everything in their power to hunt down the murderer to give an account to the Royal Clan.

Liang Hui reached out with his palm and several streaks of light flew out from the Peng corpse, hovering before him.

A Golden Battle Sword and a ring.

The youth first put away the storage ring before raising his palm to caress the battle sword, feeling the fierce and sharp aura it emitted.

This must have been the battle sword Peng Hong refined the most extensively.

His eyes showed a trace of satisfaction as he secured it to his back.

The partial remains of the Peng corpse, too, were sliced into chunks and stored by Liang Hui within moments, to serve as sustenance for the journey.

Suddenly, the youth’s brows knitted slightly; he sensed three formidable auras rapidly approaching.

After feeling the strain in his body and estimating the strength of his pursuers, Liang Hui’s gaze deepened.

His figure flashed and vanished.

At the edge of the sky, an Immortal Crane was carrying two figures, flying at high speed towards this location.

Whoosh~

The Immortal Crane soared, wings flapping, whipping up fierce winds that blew debris and broken wood across the ground.

The two figures lowered their gaze, surveying the ravaged earth and the pool of blood within the crater.

Then a graceful figure drifted down from the Immortal Crane’s back to the front of the bloodstains.

As the dust settled, the figure of a Demon girl became visible.

She appeared to be no more than eighteen or nineteen years old, wearing a floor-length white dress, her black hair billowing, long lashes trembling, her eyes misty as if veiled in water vapor, like a Divine Lotus blooming, her aura ethereal.

She epitomized perfection, her every move exuding peerless elegance, making even the most splendid scenery look dull in comparison.

She reached out with delicate hands, pinching a few drops of golden Demon Blood, ripples forming in her eyes.

"Peng Hong is dead!"

"Princess, we merely let Brother Peng pursue the murderer alone for ten minutes, how could he possibly be dead?"

A tall figure jumped down directly from the Immortal Crane, coming to the girl’s side, his words filled with disbelief.

This was an odd creature with a body covered in pitch-black carapace and numerous jointed limbs on each side, gleaming with a cold shine.

It also had a pair of human legs, clearly a powerful being.

Although it held no fondness for Peng Hong, it recognized his strength.

The Heavenly Roc Tribe’s reputation for speed was not a mere claim but was proven through slaughter, and yet now one of its members didn’t even have a chance to escape and died here.

"Wu Yi, it was the Human Race that acted, approximately at the Golden Core level," the Demon princess said, as a silver light emerged in the golden blood in her palm, which she gripped tightly.

"Human Race?" Wu Yi’s eyes turned cold, murderous intent overwhelming, enough to scatter the shock in his heart.

The Human Race was nothing but food, and his ancestors had slaughtered billions, the tide of blood nearly flooding the earth.

"Find him, kill him," he declared, his black limbs flailing, their unmatched sharpness ready to tear through mountains and rivers.

At that moment, the Demon princess seemed to sense something, slightly tilting her head to look toward a distant river.

A figure in a silver cloak stood above the waterway, gazing in their direction, eyes silver, cold, and ruthless.

"Impudent!" With a clear reprimand, mountains crumbled and the earth peeled away like layers of an onion.

The woman was enraged. A mere human had not fled like a dog that has lost its home, living in constant fear as they awaited their hunters.

Yet now, he stood firmly upon the great river.

Liang Hui’s foot tapped lightly, and the turbulent river and quaking earth returned to tranquillity.

His silver eyes, as cold as the bright moon, held not a hint of warmth.

"Armored fur-wearers, today I shall send you on your way to reincarnation."

Boom!

How long had it been? How long since the Human Race had dared to address them in such a contemptuous manner? Today, they heard it again.

"Human, you may die now. A lowly race, just like your ancestors, grovelling at our feet," Wu Yi bellowed.

A decisive killing intent filled the space between heaven and earth.

Hundreds of limbs waving, the black appendages shone too brilliantly, illuminating half of the vault of heaven, slashing towards the great river.

It was like hell unleashed, with a sky full of demon Qi mixed with peerless sharpness.

The river was bisected, mountains shattered, but the waters beneath Liang Hui’s feet remained undisturbed.

Liang Hui’s body stood erect, his right hand raised forming an ancient Fist Seal, with the bright Moonlight Essence converging upon it.

It was as if a bright moon was held within the grip of the youth, hurled forward with force.

Clang!

A chilling light burst forth beneath the moonlight, silver brilliance swallowed the sky, and heaven and earth thundered.

In the midst of the moonlight, a hand as pristine as white jade crossed the expanse, crushed the moon, and pressed towards Liang Hui’s head.

Thud!

The youth’s left arm, shrouded in a hazy moonlight, blocked the palm.

He clenched his fist and thrust it upwards, striking at the Demon Tribe princess.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Three exchanges of fist against palm.

The dull collision echoes across tens of miles.

The silver brilliance swept away in an instant, and the mighty river was vaporized in a moment.

Only two silhouettes stood, facing each other across the vast battlefield.

"Truly surprising. I did not expect such a character to arise from the fallen Human Race," came a faint and distant murmur on the wind.

The demoness in white, with blood at the corner of her mouth, gazed at the tall figure in the distance.

Behind her, Wu Yi leaned against the rock, half his body shattered, his pitch-black blood dripping, staining the earth red.

Yet Wu Yi dared not tend to his wounds, fixating on Liang Hui, in case the adversary struck again.

Had it not been for the princess’s intervention, he would have been obliterated by that punch just a moment ago.

Meanwhile, the demoness in white parted her red lips and spoke once more:

"But with your current aura and mana, can you still make a move?"

"Within the ten-thousand-mile expanse of the Howling Moon Mountain Range, countless demons lie. They could drain you to death."

"Not to mention the Human Race has been defeated for hundreds of years, and the entire world now belongs to our tribe."

"One person cannot go against the heavens, retreat now."

Liang Hui’s gaze lowered, looking at a slash wound on his right palm and several cracks on his left fist.

This body, after all, was not his own, accessed for too short a time, not strong enough, and some martial techniques could not be used.

But...

Liang Hui lifted his head, a smile spreading across his face, as he took a bold step forward.

"All of the Demon Tribe should be grateful, for at this moment, I have descended upon this world."

"Before I depart, I’ll first slaughter you all, for some peace of mind!"
