I Turned Filthy Rich Just By Sleeping With Women?!
Chapter 74: Father Daughter Date

Chapter 74: Father Daughter Date

Zhao Yiming and Lao Xinya stood frozen in front of the high-end store. The staff inside were dressed in tuxedos, the dresses and clothes gleamed under perfect lighting, each one practically oozing money and elegance.

The pressure in front of the entrance was suffocating—especially for someone who had never stepped foot in a place like this.

"Ugh, why are you stopping here? Let’s just go in already!" Xinya said, though she also didn’t budge a single step.

"Wait, I need to prepare myself," Zhao Yiming muttered, taking a deep breath.

Money wasn’t the problem—not anymore. Just a few days ago, he’d already set up a new bank account and stuffed it full. No need to awkwardly transfer from the system like before. He was ready.

But still, this was different. The moment felt heavy.

Back when he was Lao Chen, he used to dream about standing in front of this exact store, walking in with confidence, buying whatever his wife and daughter wanted without worrying about price tags.

And now, that dream was within reach. But instead of excitement, he was filled with a strange, bubbling anxiety.

While Xinya kept nudging him and throwing complaints his way, he stood there, frozen—until one of the staff approached them with a professional smile.

"Are both of you interested in our new spring collection?" the man asked politely.

Zhao Yiming nodded a bit too fast. "Y-Yeah, it looks nice..."

’Arghhh! Too awkward! I sound like a middle-schooler on his first date!’ he cursed inwardly.

"Then right this way, Sir and Madam," the staff member said warmly, opening the door for them.

As they stepped inside, Zhao Yiming let out a small sigh of relief. This wasn’t as terrifying as he thought.

It wasn’t like that drama he once watched, where the main character got humiliated by rude salespeople for looking poor, only to turn around and slap them with a black card.

"What section would you like to visit first, sir? We have a wide range—from jewelry and dresses to men’s fashion," the staff greeted with a smile, while Zhao Yiming and Xinya both looked around in amazement.

The inside was even more dazzling than expected. To the left was a glittering jewelry display; to the right, a plush row of waiting sofas.

But the deeper they walked in, the more the store seemed to stretch—section after luxurious section unraveled like a golden maze.

Xinya gripped Zhao Yiming’s hand more tightly, nerves kicking in. She looked even more intimidated now, which only made him straighten up.

"I want to see the jewelry first," Zhao Yiming said, now with confidence.

He had money. A lot of money. So why the hell was he acting nervous?

"Of course, right this way. We just launched a new collection featuring soft pink diamonds for spring," the staff said as he led them to a sleek black case, revealing a shimmering set of necklace, earrings, and bracelet.

"Wow... I think it suits you," Zhao Yiming said, picturing Xinya with that pink diamond necklace. It really did look perfect on her—she could pull off any color.

Then he blinked. "Ah, right. You don’t like pink."

He turned to the staff. "Do you have something in purple? Like... the same shade as my partner here?"

The staff nodded and excused himself, walking over to search the display behind them.

Meanwhile, Xinya leaned in and whispered, "Are you really sure this is okay? Did you see the price tag? That set costs more than my whole shop!"

"Of course," Zhao Yiming said calmly, giving her a reassuring smile. "I told you—I’ll buy you anything. Don’t worry about the price."

The staff returned and opened another box with the flair of a magician. "This piece is made from high-quality purple sapphire, carefully cut and crafted into floral designs."

Xinya’s eyes sparkled with awe. The necklace, earrings, and bracelet seemed to whisper to her, calling her to bring them home. Zhao Yiming saw that look and chuckled.

"I’ll take it," he said. "Also, I want to see your highest-quality jade bracelets."

The staff’s eyes gleamed like treasure chests. "Right away, sir!"

But Xinya grabbed his sleeve. "You! That’s too much! I’d rather spend that money expanding the noodle shop and doing advertisements!"

"Then sell the jewelry if you need to," Zhao Yiming replied with a gentle smile. "A gift is yours to use however you want."

"...You already bought it, how could I sell it now..." she sighed—but her eyes said something else. Deep down, it felt nice... to be spoiled, just once.

From there, they wandered across the entire store. Zhao Yiming bought gifts not just for Xinya and Wen Qiao, but also for Su Meilin, Luo Yanyu, and even Madam Ruan. Everything would be shipped either to his apartment or the noodle shop.

As they stepped outside, Lao Xinya stared at him like he’d grown a second head.

"I can’t believe you spent almost a hundred thousand dollars in one go! What do you even do for a living? Rob banks?!"

He just laughed. "Nah. I’ve got a few businesses here and there."

"...I see," she muttered, her smile slowly curling into a teasing smirk. "Can’t believe I’ve been hanging out with a secret millionaire. In that case—let’s eat at the most expensive restaurant!"

"Golden Pavilion, right?" Zhao Yiming said without missing a beat. "I remember you always wanted to try that place!"

He turned and walked ahead toward the car, full of energy.

Xinya froze in place.

’How did he know that?’ she thought.

She never told him that she disliked pink. Never mentioned that dream restaurant to anyone. But he knew. Just like that.

’...It must be that old man,’ she told herself. ’Yeah, he must’ve told him all those things before...’

Zhao Yiming called her again from the car, snapping her out of her thoughts.

She nodded and followed him, but now, her heart was buzzing with more than just excitement. There were too many questions... and he was starting to feel too familiar.

---

Golden Pavilion was actually a buffet restaurant—famous for its seafood—and something Lao Xinya had always dreamed of trying. In her 25 years of life, she’d never tasted lobster or crab even once.

So now, the moment she stepped inside, that girl went feral.

She marched straight to the seafood section, piled her plate with so many Alaskan crab legs and lobster tails that even the staff blinked in disbelief.

Zhao Yiming just stood there grinning like a proud dad watching his daughter wreck a battlefield.

It was lunchtime, and the place was packed. People stared, some with amazement, and some with disgust.

But Xinya? She didn’t give a damn.

"Wow, that’s a lot of crab legs," Zhao Yiming commented, trying to sneak one from her plate.

She immediately glared at him like a beast protecting her territory.

"If you want it, take it yourself!" she barked, slamming her two loaded plates down.

Then she started cracking and devouring crab like it was her life’s mission.

Zhao Yiming couldn’t stop laughing. But as he stood up to grab his own plate, he heard it.

A voice—loud enough to carry.

From a nearby table, a well-dressed woman and her teen daughter snickered while staring straight at Xinya.

"Look at that girl. No manners at all."

"Don’t be like that kind of classless woman, Liu. She probably never even been to a buffet before."

The words weren’t subtle. Not even a little. And they hit harder than any slap.

Zhao Yiming froze mid-step, his hands clenched, his face slowly hardening as fury rose in his chest like lava.

’No one mocks my daughter and lives to laugh about it.’ he thought, his eyes narrowing.

He was ready to unleash hell—but a small hand grabbed his wrist.

"Don’t," Xinya said softly. "They’re right. I’m poor. I’ve never been to this kind of place before."

Zhao Yiming frowned deeply. "So what? We’re still paying customers, just like them."

"It’s fine," she replied, her voice even, almost tired. "I don’t want to make a scene... I’m used to it."

That sentence broke something, again, all over again, the same failure and guilt.

It all crashed down like a landslide. His chest ached with a bitterness he couldn’t swallow.

If only Lao Chen hadn’t lost to the cruelty of the world. If only he’d tried harder, fought more, and protected them better. His daughter wouldn’t be saying this crap like it was normal.

However, a sudden chime broke his daydream:

[DING!]

[You triggered a new quest!]

[ For The Sake of Your Daughter: A disgusting pair of mother and daughter mocked your daughter’s dignity. As her father, you must make sure her pride is never trampled again!]

• Walk up to their table, throw down your credit cards, bankbooks, and car keys, then growl:

"Poor? I could buy your life with loose change. Don’t you dare talk about my daughter again!"

• Bang your glass with a spoon to get everyone’s attention.

Shout: "I’ll pay for every table in this restaurant—except that one! You mocked my partner and called her poor. Well? Who’s poor now?!"

[Choose wisely. Eyes are watching.]

Zhao Yiming’s fingers twitched as his smile slowly curled into something dangerous.

Oh, he was about to be so dramatic.
