Chapter 353: Chapter 353: I’ll Be Greedier These Two Days
North City Western Suburb is by the sea, and Little Baozi and Xiao Lingyun own a villa here.
This is the villa where they brought Ye Weiwei. The scenery at the villa is stunning—standing on the small balcony, one can see the vast deep blue ocean, the pristine sandy beach, and the intoxicating sky.
It’s Ye Weiwei and the little girl’s first time seeing the ocean like this. The mother and daughter stood by the viewing deck, stretching their arms, letting the sea breeze scatter their hair, and exclaiming with joy.
“What a beautiful ocean!”
“It’s not even a tenth as beautiful as you.”
A rich and magnetic male voice sounded from behind. Ye Weiwei’s back stiffened as she turned mechanically, meeting Xiao Jinghan’s deep and unwavering gaze that resembled a still ancient well.
He was dressed in the same light blue casual sportswear theme as her and the little girl. His hair fell naturally, giving off the air of an elegant and sunny young man, as he stood just half a meter behind her.
The sea breeze carried a fresh scent, along with his familiar presence, enveloping her completely.
“Xiao Jinghan, weren’t you supposed to be at the engagement banquet?” Ye Weiwei lowered her head, trying her best to avoid meeting his gaze.
Xiao Jinghan took a step forward, his large hand resting on Ye Weiwei’s waist. With a slight application of force, he pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. He planted a kiss on the top of her head and replied in a voice as rich as aged wine, “It’s not my engagement banquet. What else would I be doing?”
“Not your engagement banquet?” Ye Weiwei looked astonished.
She couldn’t understand it—the discussions on Weibo at one in the morning were still debating the engagement banquet, saying Xiao Jinghan had ordered countless flowers. Why was it suddenly not their engagement banquet today?
“Weiwei, it’s rare to take the kids out for a trip. Let’s not talk about things that spoil the mood, alright?” Xiao Jinghan said, releasing Ye Weiwei’s waist. He turned around and crouched in front of the little girl, gazing at her rosy face, increasingly convinced he had made the right decision.
“Xixi, do you like the ocean?” Xiao Jinghan asked gently.
The little girl glanced at Ye Weiwei, then at Xiao Jinghan, before lowering her head and speaking softly, “Mommy, the teacher said children shouldn’t lie. Can I tell the truth?”
Ye Weiwei knew her daughter loved the ocean. She didn’t want to influence her, so she smiled and said, “Of course, say whatever you want to say. Mommy doesn’t mind.”
“Mm, mm!” The little girl breathed a sigh of relief, nodded, and grinned, “I like it, the ocean is so beautiful! It’s my first time seeing it—there are seagulls, and look at that beach!”
The little girl was genuinely happy. It was her first trip since she was born, and she was surrounded by everyone she loved. How wonderful!
“Do you want to go on a boat?” Xiao Jinghan cupped the girl’s face and continued gently.
The little girl turned her head to look at Ye Weiwei again, then earnestly nodded, “I do.”
“After lunch, we’ll take you on a yacht ride—on the Xixi. How does that sound?” Xiao Jinghan said, lifting the little girl into his arms.
The little girl’s eyes sparkled with curiosity upon hearing about the Xixi yacht for the first time, “Daddy, is the Xixi named after me?”
Xiao Jinghan nodded.
Deciding to bring the mother and daughter to the seaside, Xiao Jinghan had bought a brand-new yacht and named it after his daughter to commemorate their first time out at sea.
“Daddy, you’re amazing!” The little girl was overjoyed. Her face no longer showed any trace of pallor; instead, she was as radiant and dazzling as a little sun. She turned to Ye Weiwei, holding up two fingers and beaming, “Mommy, just for these two days, can I be a little greedy, please?”
