Chapter 328: Chapter 328: You little beast, you dare to laugh

It’s not like this is the first time she’s seen her faint. Ye Weiwei knew the symptoms like the back of her hand; she could practically be her doctor.

Ye Weiwei stood there leisurely, prepared to watch the drama unfold. Suddenly, Shen Jinxing dashed in from outside, tightly cradling Ye Chuchu in his arms. He shot a fierce glare at Ye Weiwei and barked, “To the hospital. You’re coming too! If anything happens to Chuchu, it’s on you!”

“Fine!” Ye Weiwei responded sharply. She’d seen Ye Chuchu faint countless times before, and not once had it led to anything serious. This time wouldn’t scare her either.

As Ye Weiwei followed them out, Xiao Jinghan and the other two tagged along behind her.

She hadn’t wanted them to come with her, but their insistence left her no choice. After thinking it over, she figured it wouldn’t hurt to let them see her birth family’s true colors.

Maybe after witnessing it, Xiao Jinghan wouldn’t have any interest in her anymore.

After all, top-tier wealthy families deeply despise those faux wealthy types driven by greed and schemes.

At Lu Zi’an’s hospital.

Xiao Jinghan and Xiao Lingyun headed to the director’s office to find Lu Zi’an, while Shen Jinxing stared fixedly at Ye Weiwei. Meanwhile, Ye Chuchu was inside undergoing an examination.

Ye Weiwei leaned against the cold wall, her head tilted as her eyes locked on the emergency room light. A sarcastic smile tugged at her lips.

Ye Chuchu truly deserved her title as the queen of “Little White Flowers.” Even fainting, she could make such a spectacle. Wasn’t she afraid the doctors and nurses would expose her right on the spot?

This was, after all, the Lu Family’s hospital. Mr. Lu Zi’an seemed like a person of high medical ethics; he wouldn’t go along with a patient’s charade.

While Ye Weiwei mused over this, a rush of hurried footsteps suddenly reached her ears. Just as she looked up—

Smack! A hard slap landed on her face.

The stinging pain jolted her into complete alertness.

“You beast! That’s your sister—your biological sister! How could you upset her so much she fainted? If you’ve got grievances against this family, take them out on me! What kind of person takes it out on their sister? You wretched brat!” Ye Chengyuan’s furious voice thundered as he raised his hand to strike Ye Weiwei again.

This time, however, his hand came to an abrupt stop. Ye Weiwei’s slim, delicate hand shot up and blocked his attack effortlessly.

“Mr. Ye, before you curse me out, why don’t you consider your own actions first? If I’m a beast, then you’re the old beast. After all, only beasts can sire beasts!” Ye Weiwei’s free hand casually wiped away the faint trace of blood at the corner of her mouth as she retorted without fear or humility.

Standing behind Ye Chengyuan, Jiang Zhanyue’s expression twisted with equal parts disgust and rage at Ye Weiwei’s words. “Weiwei, how dare you speak to your father like that? I should’ve drowned you when I had the chance back then!”

Ye Weiwei burst into laughter at her mother’s venomous remark.

How wonderful, really. Before her stood her biological father, calling her a beast, and her biological mother, lamenting not having drowned her at birth.

What kind of monumental enmity was this?

What exactly did she owe these people?

“You wretched beast! How dare you laugh! Do you even have a heart?” Ye Chengyuan roared, apoplectic with anger.

Ye Weiwei shook off Ye Chengyuan’s hand, crossed her arms over her chest, and tilted her head. “Old beast, don’t you already know whether I have a heart or not?”

“You—you dare to call your father that? Ye Weiwei, are you tired of living? I should’ve left you to rot in that prison!” Jiang Zhanyue snarled and reached out to claw at Ye Weiwei’s face.

Ye Weiwei sidestepped smoothly, avoiding her mother’s hand.

“She doesn’t even deserve to be human!” Ye Chengyuan hissed in frustration, spewing nothing but vile words.

As the shouting match reached its peak, Qiu Ying and Xiao Tingshen arrived, carrying a bag of nutritional supplements. They stood frozen, bearing witness to Ye Weiwei being berated by her biological parents. Both shook their heads in disapproval. Their eyes brimmed not only with disappointment but also with thinly veiled disdain.

Off to the side, Mo Chengxuan—never having a chance to jump in earlier—watched the scene unfold. He smacked his forehead in exasperation and muttered to himself, “Great, just great. She’s dug herself another hole with her in-laws.”
