“Xiao Yiran, you’re just a child. You’re not allowed to cause trouble with the adults!” Xiao Tingshen roared. He saw it clearly—his obedient grandson had been incited by his son and daughter.

Little Baozi lifted his head, glanced at Xiao Tingshen, and burst into loud, forceful tears. “Grandpa is a bad grandpa, grandma is a bad grandma. I’ll remember you both!”

After saying that, he stomped upstairs to the second floor, rushed into his little room, and slammed the door shut with a loud bang.

“Why are you yelling at him? If you want to shout and curse, do it at those two. My baby is my obedient grandson—he’s so young, how can he handle such yelling?” Qiu Ying glared fiercely at her husband, her heart anxious, and hurried upstairs.

Meanwhile, Xiao Tingshen continued berating Xiao Jinghan and Xiao Lingyun, while Qiu Ying was over by the door trying to coax Little Baozi.

“Baby, be good and open the door. Grandma is a good grandma. Grandma won’t harm you. That Ye Weiwei is not a good person—we can’t let her corrupt you.”

Qiu Ying was getting parched from all her coaxing, but there was no sound coming from inside. Her anxiety escalated to the point where she was almost ready to call someone to force the door open, when the noise of things being smashed started to emerge from the room.

“Oh no!” Qiu Ying’s heart skipped a beat. She rushed downstairs, shouting at Xiao Tingshen, “This is all your fault! You yelled at our obedient grandson so much that now he’s smashing things inside. You—you know he has psychological issues!”

Just as Qiu Ying finished speaking, a bodyguard standing outside urgently ran in and said, “Sir, madam, the young master is standing by the window, about to jump down. You should go take a look!”

“What?” Qiu Ying screamed, her legs nearly giving out in fear.

Xiao Jinghan and Xiao Lingyun exchanged a glance and immediately rushed out.

They had only instructed the little guy to cause some mischief—not to take such a dangerous route. If he fell and got hurt, they’d feel dreadful.

“Baby, come down quickly. Don’t scare grandpa and grandma like this, okay?” Qiu Ying spotted the small figure holding onto the window frame and felt her heart almost leap out of her chest. She was truly terrified—her obedient grandson!

Little Baozi didn’t say a word. His gaze was sharp and unwavering, fixed directly on the newly arrived Xiao Tingshen.

“Xiao Yiran, come down. This trick won’t work on your grandpa!” Xiao Tingshen was also panicked, still believing that Little Baozi was being influenced by Xiao Jinghan and hadn’t realized the boy truly had a problem.

“You—you’re still being harsh with him? Can’t you see him standing there? Can’t you stop being harsh with him?” Qiu Ying raised her hand and slapped Xiao Tingshen several times. “Why can’t you see that something’s wrong with the baby?”

Little Baozi had gone through a period of psychological difficulties.

About a year ago, he overheard at school about mothers and came home to ask Xiao Jinghan about it. Xiao Jinghan couldn’t explain well, so the clever little guy created a whole dramatic story in his head—one that ended up causing him problems.

Back then, Lu Zi’an helped treat him. Now, Qiu Ying could only think of Lu Zi’an again. While instructing her husband to calm the child down, she rushed to call Lu Zi’an.

“Baby, earlier it was grandpa’s fault. Grandpa shouldn’t have yelled at you. Grandpa made a mistake. You won’t be angry anymore, right? Please come back inside your room and chat with grandpa, okay?” Xiao Tingshen furrowed his brows, genuinely anxious.

Little Baozi didn’t respond to Xiao Tingshen. Instead, he adjusted his position and sat on the windowsill.

Seeing him obediently sit down, Xiao Jinghan went upstairs and told someone to pry the door open.

Once the door was forced open, Xiao Jinghan and Xiao Tingshen heard Little Baozi singing inside.
