He knew that if the Blood Jade Ring and Phoenix Gall were indeed on Tom, then Tom wasn’t under his control.

Tom nodded and, following the Black-robed Person’s orders, took out everything he had on him, including a collection of Sprite Ball Bombs scattered on the ground.

“There’s nothing left, Master,” Tom said solemnly.

The Black-robed Person looked doubtful, examining Tom up and down, then commanded, “Take off your clothes.”

Tom followed the orders obediently,

stripping off all his clothes.

The black-robed person took Tom’s clothes and shook them out vigorously, scattering a good deal of sand, but still no sign of the Blood Jade Ring or the Phoenix Gall.

He tossed the clothes back to Tom.

Commanded, “Put them on.”

Tom began dressing in silence.
