Chapter 352 - Chapter 352 Chapter 348 Bao Yuan Could she be an old witch
Chapter 352: Chapter 348: Bao Yuan: Could she be an old witch? Chapter 352: Chapter 348: Bao Yuan: Could she be an old witch? Watching the dozen or so men collectively commit suicide, their bodies falling together one after another, Jiang Xinyan clutched Jiang Nannan, completely stunned.
Could such an ability, almost like a demon art, really belong to a human?
Jiang Xinyan stared blankly at Fang Xiaocao.
She had originally thought that Fang Xiaocao was just a vase who needed Taotie’s protection; now it was clear how terribly wrong she had been.
Fang Xiaocao felt dizzy, her vision blurring as if she were nearsighted and had suddenly taken off her glasses, her nose warm and bleeding non-stop.
Fang Xiaocao staggered a few steps and then sank to her knees, mumbling, “The spiritual exhaustion is too great, so dizzy…”
Seeing Fang Xiaocao suddenly collapse, Taotie panicked, quickly taking his daughter from Jiang Xinyan’s arms and shouting, “Xinyan, go see what’s wrong with the princess.”
At Taotie’s shout, Jiang Xinyan came to her senses, walked wobbly toward Fang Xiaocao, and asked softly, “Are you all right?”
Fang Xiaocao waved her hand: “I’m fine!”
“Just a bit of spiritual overload.”
“A good sleep will make it better.”
Fang Xiaocao put on a brave smile.
“You must be Taotie’s wife, right?”
“So beautiful, the Taotie family’s ancestors must be all grinning in their graves to have you bear him such a beautiful daughter.”
Fang Xiaocao said with a smile, full of praise.
Hearing Fang Xiaocao’s words, Jiang Xinyan’s face showed a hint of shyness.
“High praise from the princess.”
Upon saying this, Jiang Xinyan looked towards Taotie.
And smiled, “Actually, he’s quite a good man.”
“Hahaha…”
“That’s because love is blind!”
“What qualities does this goof have to deserve such merit?”
Fang Xiaocao said teasingly, laughing.
Jiang Xinyan joined in the laughter.
And stretched out her hand to help Fang Xiaocao up.
Taotie picked up a gun to use as a walking stick, struggled to his feet, and, limping, held Jiang Nannan’s little hand, approaching Fang Xiaocao.
With a shy and bashful smile, he said, “Princess, this is my daughter, Jiang Nannan, isn’t she beautiful?”
Fang Xiaocao smiled faintly, “Nannan is really cute, call me Auntie.”
As she spoke, she even reached out to tousle Jiang Nannan’s hair. Perhaps knowing that Fang Xiaocao had saved her and her mother, Nannan was not shy like she was with Taotie, but instead looked up at Fang Xiaocao with her large, tear-filled eyes and crisply called out, “Auntie!”
Seeing this, Taotie and Jiang Xinyan were both stunned; they knew very well their daughter’s temperament and had never seen her be this friendly with strangers–not even Taotie himself had enjoyed such VIP treatment.
“So good!”
Fang Xiaocao praised with an aunty’s smile on her face.
From her pocket, she took out a card: “Auntie came in a hurry and didn’t bring a gift for Nannan, here’s a card with a million in it for buying candy.”
“Princess, you shouldn’t have!”
“Princess, this is too much, it will spoil the child!”
Taotie and Jiang Xinyan quickly objected.
To them, a million was nothing; their combined fortunes were much more substantial than one might imagine, but they still felt it was excessive for Fang Xiaocao to hand out a million just for a meeting gift.
“Nannan, be a good girl and take it!”
“Don’t listen to them, this is from Auntie.”
Fang Xiaocao stuffed the card into Jiang Nannan’s hands, smiling as she spoke.
“Thank you, Auntie!”
Jiang Nannan thanked with a smile.
“So well-behaved!”
Fang Xiaocao laughed and said, “You big fool, such a huge incident occurred and you actually kept it from me. Do you even have me, Princess Your Highness, in your eyes anymore?”
Fang Xiaocao looked at Taotie with an amused gaze.
Taotie grinned sheepishly, trying to smooth things over with his smile.
Fang Xiaocao glared at Taotie, then turned to Jiang Xinyan, “Find someone to clean up the scene, there are too many dead bodies, we don’t want any trouble. Let’s go inside and talk about important matters.”
Jiang Xinyan nodded, “Yes!”
“Princess Your Highness, how did you know I was in trouble and managed to find this place to rescue me?” Taotie asked curiously.
Fang Xiaocao smiled mysteriously, “A wise hermit has his ways!”
–The timeline goes back one hour.–
Fang Xiaocao, who had just returned to her hotel room and was about to enjoy a hot bath followed by a luxurious afternoon nap, had barely started to fill the bathtub when she received a WeChat message from Hot Noodles.
[Hot Noodles: Taotie is in danger. You must get to the Jiang Family Manor outside of the city within an hour, or Taotie and his wife and daughter will all die!]
Seeing the message from Hot Noodles, Fang Xiaocao was immediately dumbfounded.
Since when was Taotie not a single dog?
When did he acquire a wife and child?
Fang Xiaocao sent a message back full of confusion, but she did not dare delay her actions.
She immediately left the bathroom, put on her tactical vest, and hastily exited the room.
In the elevator, Hot Noodles explained to Fang Xiaocao the background of Jiang Xinyan and her daughter, as well as Taotie’s situation, and even included the address to the manor.
Fang Xiaocao realized the gravity of the situation and didn’t dare to ask any more questions, running out of the hotel all the way; taking a taxi was definitely out of the question.
She remembered a motorcycle shop she had seen while going to lunch at noon.
Immediately, she made up her mind, bought a motorcycle, had the shop fill it up with gas, paid without bothering with the paperwork, and rode straight there.
She almost flew here on the motorcycle.
Only with a rush did she manage to arrive on time.
With hidden weapons, she saved Jiang Nannan.
–The timeline returns to the present.–
Jiang Xinyan, holding Jiang Nannan, walked with Fang Xiaocao towards the inside of the manor. Along the way, dead bodies were everywhere, a testament to the intense battle that had just taken place.
Taotie, watching Jiang Xinyan leading Fang Xiaocao into the manor, did not hurry to follow but instead shouted, “Bao Yuan, you little rascal, are you dead yet? If you’re not, roll over here!”
Hearing Taotie’s yell, Bao Yuan, lying on the ground, weakly raised a hand and said, “Boss, I’m still breathing…”
“You useless fellow, if you’re alive, stop playing dead and get up to work!” Taotie cursed, relieved to see that Bao Yuan was not dead–but he kept no kindness in his voice.
All kinds of curses continued to be heard.
Bao Yuan struggled to get up from the ground, imitating Taotie by picking up a gun to use as a cane, limping over to Taotie, “Boss, what’s with your boss? She’s too amazing, isn’t she?”
“Over twenty people, it was like they were possessed, they didn’t even frown before killing themselves. Such a weird and frightening power, isn’t that too scary?”
“She isn’t some old witch, is she?”
Speaking of Fang Xiaocao, Bao Yuan’s gaze was complicated–filled with fear, curiosity, and even a trace of admiration.
“Shut your nonsense, that’s my Princess Your Highness, what old witch? If you spout any more nonsense, I’ll beat you to death,” Taotie glared at Bao Yuan fiercely.
Being cursed by Taotie, Bao Yuan immediately recalled the demonic times when he was under Taotie’s thumb as a youth and instinctively shrank his neck.
“Looking at your cowardice, how can you be my disciple? I wish Jiang old man had finished you off–it would spare me the embarrassment in the future,” Taotie scolded, his disappointment apparent.
