I really didn’t want to lead Ultra Star astray -
Chapter 19 - Kinda Gross
Chapter 19: Kinda Gross
The three Ultramans worked together, and even with Bemstar’s powerful abdominal suction, they managed to free Jack’s leg.
Seeing Jack’s leg covered in something resembling gastric juice, Mu Yang felt a wave of discomfort. Heaven help him—his strength was decent now, but he was just a theoretical expert. He’d never fought a monster before! This situation was completely new.
He hadn’t even killed a chicken, and now he was fighting a monster?
“You okay? Not used to this?” Seven, always attentive to Mu Yang’s condition, asked with concern. After all, this was the kid’s first monster fight!
“Yeah, a bit,” Mu Yang said with a smile. “It’s kinda gross!”
Jack’s head was full of black lines. His bulbous eyes turned to Seven. Who was this little punk, and why was he tagging along?
Seven silently looked skyward, not wanting to address this now. But Mu Yang’s mindset seemed better than expected!
Bemstar, meanwhile, wasn’t as calm. Its big meal was gone, and now it faced three Ultramans. How could it fight?
It flapped its wings, trying to flee Earth. But barely twenty meters up, a sharp pain hit its wing. A blade slashed down from behind, piercing Bemstar’s large wing and slicing further, widening the gash.
Bemstar screeched in pain, too afraid to flap. But its attacker showed no mercy, yanking hard and severing the wing entirely.
Bemstar crashed to the ground, writhing and howling in agony!
Jack’s eyes widened at the sight. He glanced at the gleaming golden sword in Mu Yang’s hand, speechless. The Bemstar that had thrashed him so badly was taken down like this?
Of course, he knew it was just the weapon’s advantage. With his Ultra Bracelet, he could’ve done the same.
But still, didn’t this make him look weak? Jack quickly dismissed the thought. Defeating Bemstar was what mattered most.
“It doesn’t seem that strong,” Mu Yang’s next words made Jack feel like his whole Ultraman self was crumbling.
Were kids these days this provocative?
“Look, Bemstar’s been easily defeated!” Whether Bemstar was dead or not, the humans below cheered wildly.
Bemstar was down, and Jack Ultraman was back! Could anything be more exciting?
“That new Ultraman’s so strong!” Many exclaimed. Thinking of Jack’s struggle and this Ultraman slicing off Bemstar’s wing with one swing, the gap was huge!
“Ahem, let’s finish Bemstar off!” Seven said from the side. He didn’t think Bemstar was that strong. His Melancholy Blade Technique could’ve handled it easily. Jack had just been countered by Bemstar’s abilities.
“Got it!” But as Mu Yang prepared to attack again, Jack took action. A glint flashed from his Ultra Bracelet as he made a signature move, transforming it into a throwing knife. It flew toward Bemstar, swiftly cutting off its other wing and, for good measure, its head.
Bemstar, dead!
That brutal? Mu Yang glanced at Jack. No wonder he was the original Dismemberment Maniac. Ace had a lot of dismemberment feats, but Jack wasn’t far behind!
Truly living up to the nickname: Return Spark Flash, Regedo Heads Roll.
The three Ultramans exchanged glances and flew into the sky.
…
In a café somewhere in Edo (an alias), two men in their twenties or thirties sat with a teenager, chatting.
“So, you’re an Earthling?” Hideki Go looked at Mu Yang in disbelief.
It was too outrageous. An Earthling suddenly appearing in the Land of Light and evolving into an Ultraman? Who’d believe that?
“Yeah, an Earthling, but not from this era,” Mu Yang said, glancing around. “This is one of the most advanced places here, but it’s still about fifty years behind my time!”
For this Earth, Mu Yang felt drained. No computers, no Bilibili, no games, no smartphones—was this even Earth?
“Is that so? With Earth’s development speed, fifty years from now must be interesting!” Hideki Go said with a hint of longing. His bond with Jack was unique—they were truly one. He was both Jack and Hideki Go.
He was curious about Earth’s future, even if the Land of Light’s tech was far ahead.
As for Mu Yang’s earlier words, he didn’t mind. Kids were supposed to be brash.
Thinking of his nephews, Zero and Taiga, which one was ever calm? Compared to them, Mu Yang was much better.
