I Really Am A Villain
Ch. 443 - Phoenix Wing City

The City Lord’s mansion was wiped out!

This was what many city residents saw when they got up in the morning. The once grand and luxurious estate was now a pile of ruins.

The city lord and his son had vanished without a trace.

Everyone in the city was talking about it, with all kinds of rumors going around.

But most citizens were celebrating.

After all, the city lord had ruled Phoenix Cry City with cruelty, and his spoiled son was equally hated. So this outcome made everyone happy.

What people really cared about now was what kind of person the next city lord would be.

Early the next morning, Xu Zimo and the others prepared to leave with Sage Prajna in custody.

They would use the teleportation array to head to Phoenix Wing City, capital of the Phoenix Perch Empire.

Yellow Sun looked upset. He said to Yellow Star, “You were too reckless last night.”

“If I hadn’t been reckless, then what?” Yellow Star replied.

“Well, we caught Sage Prajna. His Majesty probably won’t punish us,” Yellow Sun sighed.

“That was all thanks to Brother Xu. We didn’t do much,” Yellow Star clarified.

“I know,” Yellow Sun nodded, not arguing the point.

The group arrived at Phoenix Cry City’s teleportation array. No one dared to stop them.

Another long stretch of time-space travel began.

The Phoenix Perch Empire was vast, and the distance from Phoenix Cry City to Phoenix Wing City was long.

After about half a month, they finally arrived at Phoenix Wing City, known as the number one city in the empire.

Along the way, Sage Prajna followed them like a walking corpse.

During the journey, Yellow Star had asked him a few questions, but the elder said nothing.

Unlike the teleportation arrays in other cities, Phoenix Wing City’s was built outside the city.

Because the array saw heavy use, all sorts of people and even other races came through it.

So the empire set aside land outside the city specifically for this.

When Xu Zimo’s vision shifted and his body lightened, he found himself in the teleportation grounds of Phoenix Wing City.

Looking around, he saw that there were not just one, but dozens of teleportation arrays operating at the same time. The area was packed with people.

Yellow Star and the others soon appeared beside him.

“Brother Xu, we need to report back to the capital. Once we’re done, let’s meet up again,” Yellow Sun said with a smile.

Xu Zimo just waved it off, showing he didn’t care.

They weren’t close anyway. Whether they met again or not didn’t matter, fate would decide.

As they walked outside the teleportation grounds, Yellow Sun explained the place to Xu Zimo.

When the teleportation array was first built, it was only for travelers heading into Phoenix Wing City.

But some people saw a business opportunity here. Many restaurants and inns opened branches nearby.

As traffic increased, the area eventually turned into a marketplace.

They walked down the main street of the market, which was lined with stalls.

Suddenly, someone shouted up ahead.

“Make way! The horse is out of control!”

The people on the street panicked and quickly scattered.

Xu Zimo frowned and looked over. A decently decorated carriage was speeding toward them.

The coachman was shouting in panic, the beast pulling the carriage had gone wild.

It was a Blue Wolf Horse, known for being fierce, fast, and strong. Only the wealthy could afford such a beast.

As the Blue Wolf Horse charged toward them, Xu Zimo’s expression didn’t change.

He drew Shadow Tyrant. A flash of light appeared, and in an instant, the horse’s head was severed.

The dead beast collapsed, and the carriage was thrown forward by inertia.

With a loud crash, the carriage shattered into pieces. People looked closer and saw that besides the coachman, there was a young girl inside.

“Ow, that hurt!” the girl groaned as she stood up, rubbing her head.

“Miss, are you alright?” the coachman asked as he rushed to her, ignoring his own injuries.

“You useless dog! How are you driving?” the girl shouted, kicking the coachman hard in the stomach.

He screamed in pain and curled up on the ground, clearly hurt.

Still angry, the girl pulled out a flaming red whip from her storage ring and began lashing the coachman, ignoring his cries.

Each lash of the whip burned with flames.

The surrounding crowd began to murmur.

“Who is this girl? So arrogant,” someone asked.

“Shh, lower your voice. That’s the little princess of the Wan Clan. You trying to get yourself killed?”

Hearing that, the man quickly shrank back. Even newcomers to Phoenix Wing City knew some things.

In the Phoenix Perch Empire, aside from the imperial family, the two most powerful clans were the Wan Clan and the Wenren Clan.

They were like ancient giants standing tall across time.

These two clans were so powerful that their influence rivaled that of the imperial family.

Though they lived within the empire’s lands, they didn’t take orders from anyone.

Of course, they still obeyed the empire’s laws.

As the coachman’s flesh was torn open, he looked utterly pitiful.

Still not satisfied, the girl turned and shouted, “Who killed my Blue Wolf Horse just now?”

People in the crowd whispered among themselves. Some already looked toward Xu Zimo.

Xu Zimo didn’t mind. He stepped forward calmly and asked, “I killed it. What of it?”

The girl didn’t speak. She raised her flaming whip and struck at him.

A flash of killing intent passed through Xu Zimo’s eyes. He glanced at the space beside her.

Someone was hiding there, likely her bodyguard.

Yellow Star stepped forward and caught the whip with one hand.

He looked at the girl and said coldly, “Miss Wan, the horse was out of control. We killed it to protect you. Please don’t make trouble.”

“And who do you think you are, to lecture me?” the girl sneered.

“Third Division of the empire,” Yellow Star replied, showing his badge.

The moment the badge appeared, the whole crowd gasped.
