I Really Am A Villain -
Ch. 420 - God World's Heavenly Dao
Looking at the suppressed Tree of Forgetfulness, Xu Zimo’s gaze was deep as he slowly descended.
“Surrender or die?” Xu Zimo asked calmly.
The Tree of Forgetfulness roared, desperately trying to escape.
Its countless branches thrashed wildly, like it had lost all reason.
The entire ground began to shake.
Boundless spiritforce stirred in all directions.
“I’ll ask one more time. Surrender or die?” Xu Zimo said again, voice steady.
But the Tree of Forgetfulness still didn’t answer. It just continued attacking everything around it like a frenzy.
“Destroy it,” Xu Zimo said as he turned away.
As he finished speaking, all the dragons and the Tree of Life vanished into the void.
With the suppression gone, the Tree of Forgetfulness broke free immediately, glaring angrily at its surroundings.
But before it could truly act out its rage, the entire sky above changed.
At the edge of the horizon, clouds rolled and winds roared.
Lightning and thunder rumbled in the heavens.
The sky darkened suddenly, and the sun disappeared.
Dark clouds gathered across the sky, violent winds kicked up sand and stones.
Under the stormy sky, everything felt heavy and oppressive.
Rain began to pour. Within the black clouds and downpour, silver lightning cracked like dragons in the clouds.
And it wasn’t just lightning, it felt as if actual Dragon Gods were soaring and storming through the heavens.
At that moment, a force of unimaginable power descended from the sky. A heavenly might that no human strength could resist.
The Tree of Forgetfulness felt its entire body buckle under the pressure, as if it were about to split apart.
When this heavenly might descended, a pair of eyes appeared in the sky.
Eyes that defied description.
Majestic, dominant, invincible, absolute...
These eyes carried endless meaning, but all of them spoke one truth:
Inviolable.
You didn’t even have the courage to look them in the eye, let alone fight against them.
“Heavenly Dao?” thought the Tree of Forgetfulness, sensing the awe-inspiring presence.
That was its first reaction.
The Heavenly Dao of the Primordial Heartlands!
But it didn’t make sense. It hadn’t violated any heavenly law.
And though the aura of those eyes was overwhelming, they were still weaker than the true Heavenly Dao.
The tree had never seen the real Heavenly Dao, but this was not what it had imagined.
In truth, the Tree of Forgetfulness could never have guessed, these eyes were indeed an embodiment of the Heavenly Dao. But not the Heavenly Dao of the Primordial Heartlands, it was the Heavenly Dao of the God World.
Because Xu Zimo’s world laws were still incomplete, his Heavenly Dao had only just been born and wasn’t very powerful yet.
It couldn’t compare to the mature Heavenly Dao of the Primordial Heartlands.
But at least here, on the God World, aside from Xu Zimo, the creator, it was God. The one who made all the judgments.
As soon as the Heavenly Dao appeared, the Tree of Forgetfulness didn’t even have a chance to resist.
Thunder rumbled above, arcs of dark purple lightning burst through the skies.
Darkness fell, and it felt like the end of the world.
The pair of eyes stared coldly at the Tree of Forgetfulness, seeing everything about it, no secrets remained.
Finally, when the thunder reached its peak,
the sky seemed ready to collapse. Pressure built like a storm about to burst.
The Tree of Forgetfulness couldn’t take it anymore and bent down, lowering its entire body to the ground in surrender.
“Surrender. I surrender,” it sent this message to Xu Zimo through its thoughts.
But Xu Zimo simply watched with indifference and gave no response.
When the thunder had fully charged, with a loud boom, the sky seemed to crack in half.
A bolt of deep purple lightning shot straight down.
The lightning carried supreme might, destroying time and space in its path.
It crashed down like a divine punishment. The Tree of Forgetfulness didn’t even have time to dodge before it was struck directly.
Xu Zimo could faintly hear the tree’s howls within the lightning.
As the lightning raged, the earth for dozens of miles cracked open, barren and scorched.
The Tree of Forgetfulness took the full brunt of the blast.
The thunder lasted over ten seconds before finally fading.
The sky cleared again, the heavenly pressure disappeared, and the eyes slowly vanished into the void.
When everything was calm again, Xu Zimo looked at the tree’s position.
Not a single patch of land remained intact.
Though the Tree of Forgetfulness wasn’t turned to ashes, its trunk was covered in cracks and barely hanging on.
Its once-green leaves were now wilting.
Its branches drooped weakly.
“This was a warning. I gave you a chance, but you didn’t cherish it,” Xu Zimo said plainly, “I don’t want there to be a next time.”
Hearing this, the Tree of Forgetfulness quickly gave a weak agreement.
Xu Zimo let it recover inside his True Fate World, and he left.
When he returned to Carefree City, there was no one left in the area.
The entire city had turned to ruins.
The survivors had all fled.
Xu Zimo looked around. Yue Qingli had lived here too, but now he was nowhere to be seen.
Still, Xu Zimo believed that even without his help, Yue Qingli would one day grow into the Immortal God he was destined to be.
Since their bond was already formed, there was no need to force anything.
Fate would bring them back together eventually.
His business with the Celestial Tiger Empire was nearly finished. He didn’t know how the Falling Insect Race would react once they discovered two of their high-ranking members were missing.
But Xu Zimo wasn’t concerned. His grandfather’s birthday was coming soon.
He needed to get to Phoenix Perch Empire quickly. He also had to fulfill his promise to Sword Immortal Jiang Yun: To find his family and deliver their inheritance.
...
From the Celestial Tiger Empire to the Phoenix Perch Empire was a long journey.
There was no direct teleportation array between the two.
Xu Zimo needed to teleport from the Celestial Tiger Empire to the Bright Moon Empire first, then head to Phoenix Perch Empire.
The Celestial Tiger Empire’s teleportation array was located in Brightsky City.
Xu Zimo left Carefree City, checked his direction, and began heading toward Brightsky City.
Brightsky City was in the south of the Celestial Tiger Empire, built near the banks of the Setting Sun River.
It was surrounded by water on three sides, a famous scenic city in the region.
