The moment the black cage appeared, the sky was filled with surging annihilation energy.

Inside the cage, a cluster of black miasma lay quietly.

The miasma looked weak.

Luang circled the cage and said with a laugh, “This doesn’t look so scary.”

“Back then, even Grand Emperor San Dao couldn’t destroy it. He could only seal it away. If it ever breaks free, the world could face a great catastrophe.”

As he spoke, Elder Tianzhen took out a dark yellow stone.

“Master, what is this?” Luang asked curiously.

“It’s the Fate Stone,” Elder Tianzhen explained.

“Long ago, Grand Emperor San Dao left behind instructions. Every ten thousand years, the formation must be reinforced, until the Baleful Miasma fully dissipates.”

He then took out five Fate Stones.

Placing them one by one at the glowing golden formation points in the shape of a five-pointed star.

The formation lit up brightly.

The power from the Fate Stones was gradually absorbed into the cage.

The five-pointed star shone even more brilliantly.

Seeing this, Elder Tianzhen finally took a deep breath, visibly more relaxed.

It was replaced by a flood of dark, evil aura.

The evil aura soared into the sky, covering half the heavens.

He looked up and saw the massive pillar of evil aura rising to the sky.

Beside him, Paimon frowned slightly and said, “This is a major threat.”

The anti-flight restrictions in the sky didn’t affect Paimon.

He carried Xu Zimo into the air and flew straight toward the mountaintop.

The evil aura surged down from above, engulfing Elder Tianzhen and Luang before they could react.

They were instantly knocked unconscious.

This scene wasn’t limited to the mountain. Everyone in the entire Silent Extinction Ridge saw it.

The sky was covered in evil aura, like the end of the world.

“Should we stop it?” Paimon asked.

“No use. We have to deal with it directly,” Xu Zimo shook his head.

Below, people scattered like headless ants, trying to hide.

“There are no Grand Emperors in this era, who can stop me?” the evil aura shouted.

Paimon nodded and flew toward the evil aura.

“The beginning of the era... yes, that’s it,” the Baleful Miasma suddenly recalled. “Someone once made a deal, targeting your Ancient Demon Race.”

“What do you know?” Paimon said coldly.

“Your Ancient Demon Race will fall. A scheme was laid long ago at the start of the era,” the miasma laughed.

“The game hasn’t even started. Who’s to say who’s a pawn and who’s the player?” Paimon replied calmly. “What’s a so-called ‘beginning of the era’? Since ancient times, we’ve always fought against fate.”

“So you’ve come to stop me,” the Baleful Miasma said coldly.

“What if I destroy you?” Paimon replied casually.

His demonic energy surged, forming into a massive spear.

The spear tore through the void, thrusting toward the Baleful Miasma.

With a thunderous boom, it exploded.

The Baleful Miasma wasn’t about to back down.
