I Really Am A Villain
Ch. 242 - Survival of The Fittest

The axe looked as if it were made of fused bones, every segment sharp and filled with murderous intent. Its bone blade was meticulously honed to a deadly edge.

At the center of this bone axe, one piece of bone was blood-red.

Each time the blood bone rotated, the killing aura of the axe intensified.

Seeing the Iron-armored Black Bear collapse in front of her, Tan Jiulin put the bone axe away.

She thrust the axe directly into her arm. The moment it touched her skin, it merged seamlessly into her body, like it had always been a part of her. Strange and eerie.

Tan Jiulin glanced at the dead bear, hoisted it onto her back, and quickly ran off into the distance.

The blood scent was too strong here, it would attract other beasts.

Deep in the forest, fire crackled and sparked as kindling burned.

Tan Jiulin looked at the now-roasted bear meat. A rich aroma wafted from it.

She took a deep breath and began to eat.

“You’ve been training out here for a few months now. What do you think?” asked a voice from within the Evil God List.

“Natural selection. Only the fittest survive,” Tan Jiulin replied calmly after a moment of silence.

A gentle breeze blew, and her hair danced in the wind.

“Still planning to go home?” the voice asked.

“My father has three daughters. He won’t miss me,” Tan Jiulin shook her head. “I used to have no choice. But now… I think I’ve come to enjoy this wandering life.”

“You must know where I came from,” the Evil God List continued.

“You were created to seal the three ancient beasts, weren’t you?” Tan Jiulin replied.

“Then do you know who created me?”

Tan Jiulin shook her head slightly.

“I don’t know his name either, but the world calls him the Sage,” the voice said. “My existence, including the Army Breaker Imperial Physique, was left behind for the Chosen of Destiny.”

“I’m the Chosen of Destiny?” Tan Jiulin asked curiously.

“Yes. By accepting this inheritance, you now carry a mission,” it replied.

“What mission?” She frowned slightly.

“It can’t be forced upon you. You must choose it of your own free will, we only guide you,” the voice explained. “Now, it’s time for you to meet the Sage. Once that happens, you’ll understand everything.”

“Where is he?”

“No one knows where the Sage truly is, but one of his incarnations has arrived on the Eastern Continent just to meet you,” the Evil God List answered.

“Fine. But I won’t do anything that goes against my heart, even if it means giving up this inheritance,” Tan Jiulin replied.

On that same windy day, the girl carrying the axe walked out of the endless jungle.

Xu Zimo and his group arrived at the eastern outskirts of Greensky Town.

The vast plains stretched endlessly, with only a few large trees sparsely scattered around, lonely and desolate.

“Spread out and search. Be careful,” Lin Bao instructed.

There were dozens in the group. The strongest among them was Lin Bao himself, a warrior at the True Meridian Realm.

Most of the others were at the Meridian Forging Realm.

Xu Zimo closed his eyes slightly. He had previously gifted Lin Qing a Nightmare Beast. He could still sense its aura.

The Power of Creation filled the air, and the unique aura of the Nightmare Beast manifested in Xu Zimo’s vision.

It appeared like a thin white line, guiding his consciousness forward.

After a long while, Xu Zimo slowly opened his eyes.

“How is it?” Tianshi asked beside him.

“Follow me,” Xu Zimo said, then ran off toward the right.

After sprinting for a few minutes, the two arrived in front of a massive tree.

The tree was enormous, lush, and thick enough that four or five people couldn’t wrap their arms around it.

Xu Zimo knocked on the trunk. A hollow sound rang out.

He struck it with a punch, revealing that the tree was hollow inside.

A hole at the base of the trunk led into the ground.

“How could it be here?” Tianshi said in surprise. “That’s way too well hidden.”

“Why not?” Xu Zimo smiled. “You have to understand, these monsters aren’t any less intelligent than humans. Especially those from the Legendary Era. Never underestimate them.”

Tianshi then shouted a few times to call everyone over.

The hole was pitch-black, its depth unknown.

Lin Bao frowned slightly. After thinking for a moment, he said, “Half of you stay here and guard the entrance. The rest, come with me. If we don’t return in three hours, seal the hole and mark this area as forbidden.”

“Uncle Lin, we’re pretty capable. Let us come with you,” Tianshi said.

Lin Bao sighed. “This shouldn’t have involved you in the first place.”

“Don’t say that, Uncle Lin. Since we live in Greensky Town, we’re part of it,” Tianshi replied.

The team was quickly divided. Half the group carefully descended into the tunnel.

Despite the darkness, the cave had good ventilation and fresh air.

The path twisted and turned. After a long walk, faint thumping noises echoed through the tunnel.

“Be careful. Something’s up ahead,” Lin Bao, taking the lead, warned the others.

When they turned the final corner, their view suddenly opened up. Even the lighting became brighter.

A massive, blood-red tiger was roaring and attacking a formation barrier in front of it.

Inside the faint blue barrier, a group of people was taking shelter, it was the Greensky Town hunting party.

Lin Qing spotted Lin Bao and the others immediately.

“Father, you’re here!” she shouted.

“That’s the barrier I gave her,” Tianshi said nearby.

“Go! Get out of here! Don’t come any closer!” Lin Qing shouted frantically.

“What’s going on?” Lin Bao frowned as he examined the blood tiger.

Normally, a blood tiger was only slightly bigger than a human, with a deep red coat.

But this one’s entire body was purplish red, and the aura it emitted was incredibly fierce.

Though technically a True Meridian Realm beast, its pressure wasn’t any less than the Desolate Meridian Realm monsters Xu Zimo had encountered before.

The townspeople instinctively spread out, surrounding the blood tiger from a distance.

“Looks like this will be a tough fight,” Lin Bao said coldly, unleashing the full pressure of his True Meridian cultivation.

He stared down the mutated blood tiger.

Just as everyone prepared to attack, a deeper, more terrifying roar echoed from behind them.

The stench of blood filled the entire cave.

Everyone turned in shock, only to see a three-meter-tall blood tiger enter through the cave entrance.
