Chapter 567: Chapter 550: Level 11 Druid
[After nature’s baptism, you became an 11th-level Druid.]
[Based on your Druid Level, your profession skill Wild Transformation unlocks new forms.]
[Based on your Druid Level, your Life Value has risen to 910.]
[Based on your Druid Level, your Mana Value has risen to 200.]
[Based on your Druid Level, 6th-circle Druid Spells are unlocked.]
Inside the Plantation, having completed her level-up, Mu Ying felt the strength within her body and eagerly opened the Player Manual.
The increase in Life Value and Mana Value was similar to every previous level-up, but this time, at level 11, an odd-level, the new spells were certainly something to look forward to.
But a glance at the adventure record revealed that Wild Transformation had unlocked new forms.
She quickly opened the attribute panel to check the specific information about the Wild Transformation skill.
[Wild Transformation: By observing and imitating, you can transform into small or medium animals, and after transforming, possess the corresponding animal’s attribute panel, with Life Value independent from your human form. You can transform twice a day, including large, medium, small, and tiny terrestrial, aquatic, and flying animals.]
"Tiny?" Mu Ying noticed the difference immediately, yet another change in size!
If you asked what form she was most looking forward to in Wild Transformation, it would undoubtedly be the super-large and tiny ones!
Both have size advantages, with super-large animals possessing absolutely formidable combat strength and tiny animals being inconspicuous, making them better at hiding.
When Mu Ying first learned Wild Transformation, she regretted the size restriction because what she really wanted to transform into were insignificant creatures like beetles, mosquitoes, and ants, which are easiest to overlook. Now, she finally had the chance to learn such transformations!
Once she dealt with the Cold Deer, she needed to properly cultivate this new form and choose an inconspicuous little creature to learn transformation from.
She continued to check the Magic List.
The list of 6th-circle magic had two fewer spells than the 5th-circle, only ten in total.
These included Group Attribute Enhancement, Medical Skill, Pathfinding Skill, Fire Spark Skill, Vajra Wood, Oak Guard, Earthquake Technique, Storage Magic Wand, Stone Speech Skill, and Stone Wall Skill.
Though few in number, each one was not to be underestimated.
Mu Ying was relatively familiar with Group Attribute Enhancement; the 2nd-circle Enhanced Attribute was a spell she had learned.
Group Attribute Enhancement was similar to the spell she had learned before, except it had evolved from a single-target support magic into a group support magic, which could boost attributes for multiple people at once. The number of creatures affected equaled her level.
This meant that after learning it, she could now enhance the attributes of 11 people at once.
However, Mu Ying had always been a lone wolf, and for the time being, the utilization rate of group support magic wasn’t high for her.
So naturally, she placed this spell at the end of her learning priority, but she still had to learn it eventually.
The broader the Magic List, the more situations she could handle. Even if she wouldn’t need it for a while, it would be too late to learn once the situation arose.
Next, Pathfinding Skill, Vajra Wood, Oak Guard, and Stone Speech Skill were also picked by her and placed at the back of the queue.
As its name suggests, Pathfinding Skill allows the recipient to know the shortest and most direct path to their destination. It’s also something she currently had no use for.
Vajra Wood is a unique Druid spell that transforms ordinary wood into Vajra Wood. Vajra Wood essentially retains the properties of natural wood but is as tough, heavy, and fire-resistant as steel.
This spell can be combined with other spells that affect wood, such as Shaping Wood Skill and Oak Stick Technique.
Stacking these together meant that a Druid could, on a whim, turn any wooden material at hand into Vajra Wood weapons and armor.
Moreover, the duration of the spell was very long, with each Druid Level able to sustain it for one day. For Mu Ying, a single casting could last 11 days.
Mu Ying could also cast this spell on Little Red when it was in its combat armor or weapon form, enhancing its attacking and defensive power, which for a Druid, was both a cost-effective and practical spell.
If it weren’t for the fact Mu Ying had chosen a path of long-range stealth and sneak attacks, this spell would certainly have been of great use.
But now that Mu Ying had the Magic Flying Carpet, she didn’t need this spell to deal with Cold Deer. However, when she later ventured to the northern Beastman Wilderness, she would need to learn this spell, as it would likely be very useful then.
Oak Guard allows a druid to animate an oak tree into an Oak Guard, also known as a Tree-man, but it is limited to animating only one tree at a time. During the spell’s effect, the druid cannot animate another tree, and the target tree must be near the caster’s residence or the location they wish to protect.
It was a great Defense Magic, but even though Tree-men could move, they couldn’t stray too far from where they grew. With her territory to fall back on, Mu Ying was in no rush to learn it.
The last Stone Speech Skill was also quite magical. After casting, she could communicate with stones and thereby learn who had touched them or hidden behind them before. It’s a good spell for gathering information, but Mu Ying didn’t have a need for it at the moment.
The remaining skills—Medical Skill, Fire Spark Skill, Earthquake Technique, Storage Magic Wand, and Stone Wall Skill—were the ones chosen by Mu Ying after careful consideration, to be learned as a priority.
The Medical Skill was another spell that Mu Ying picked. Its healing effect was even better than that of Healing Truth and Healing Holy Word, capable of healing diseases, physical injuries, and even psychological damage.
Fire Spark Skill, which Mu Ying thought would be more aptly named Bomb Skill, was a fascinating spell. It could turn acorns into acorn grenades and berries into berry bombs.
Earthquake Technique was a spell that could alter the terrain, useful for digging holes, moving soil, sand dunes, etc., with very versatile applications. Its only drawback was the long casting time, which was around ten minutes.
Once learned, Storage Magic Wand allowed a normally cast spell to be stored in a Wooden Stick. Although currently only one spell could be stored at a time and only one Storage Magic Wand possessed, the storage time was permanent until the stored spell was cast, upon which the wand would become ineffective. With this, it was as if she gained an extra slot for an instant-cast spell, and if used wisely, could produce unexpected effects.
Finally, Stone Wall Skill was similar to Fire Wall Skill and Wind Wall Skill, but with much greater flexibility, allowing construction of stone walls in any shape. Not only could it be used as a Defense Magic, but in combination with Earthquake Technique, it was a very good construction spell.
Moreover, once the stone wall was built, it remained indefinitely without the need for Magic Dispel, unlike the Fire Wall and Wind Wall which would disappear.
Of the four spells she had picked out, Mu Ying planned to learn Storage Magic Wand and Earthquake Technique first, then store Earthquake Technique in the Storage Magic Wand. This would compensate for the long casting time of Earthquake Technique, effectively giving her an instant-cast Earthquake Technique.
This way, Earthquake Technique could even be used as an Attack Magic, and she could save 30 points of Mana Value at once! Although she had plenty of spells at the moment, her Mana Value was still insufficient; 200 points of Mana only sufficed for casting six spells of the sixth ring.
