Chapter 213: Chapter 210 Trialists (Irregular Updates, Round 3)
Mu Ying even felt that there might be paid trolls, as the popularity was quite high, and under the few posts that were unfavorable to her, there were quite a few comments fighting back.
Looking at the timestamps, the replies were quite close together, most likely the work of a group, and by their terms of address, they were her own territory people. Also, quite a few called her "little one."
"Hey hey, do I have an anti-troll squad now?" She was naturally happy that her local people were defending her, but being called "little one," didn’t quite give off a powerful vibe!
However, they were wasting their time quibbling with these trolls.
So, Mu Ying posted a message.
"I am Mu Ying from Qingshan Town, responding here, potion making is a skill, not a profession, the method of obtaining it is difficult to replicate and not something I can divulge. Those who want to freeload, welcome to Qingshan Town to find me, and you will indeed not come back from where you came.
Also, kids of Qingshan Town, don’t bother reasoning with them, these trolls are beyond hope. Isn’t cultivating to make money fragrant? We don’t do things that don’t benefit us!"
After posting, Mu Ying nodded to herself, "Not bad, powerful and imposing."
Inside a niche thread with a garbled name.
"How to deal with it when your own kiddo wants to take a walk on their parents’ heads?"
"Of course, let her walk."
"Haha, our little one is so cute, calling us ’little ones,’ so pampering!"
...
By now, Mu Ying had realized that it might be because she had been working so hard recently for the territory’s affairs, and the local people had noticed and wanted to look after her, using various reasons to send her food.
She had to let them know how full she was every morning before "going to work."
Thus, the next morning, she brought a large table filled with meals and teleported to the field where she would be casting spells today.
"None of you have eaten breakfast, right? I accidentally made too much, come on, let’s eat together," Mu Ying said as soon as she arrived to the two women and one man waiting in the field.
"!!!"
The three of them ate breakfast in a daze with Mu Ying.
Mu Ying then teleported in a large box of pastries and snacks, "These are all made by me, please have a taste and share with your brothers and sisters. I’ve acknowledged your kindness, don’t worry about me, I eat well every day and will absolutely not starve myself. Continue your cultivation, live well, and contribute bricks and tiles to our territory. Alright, off you go, I don’t need company."
The three were pushed by Mu Ying to teleport away.
"Help! Has the little one found out?"
"What do we do with all this food?"
"Quick, notify the guild leader!"
Not long after, an unrented treehouse was rented out and its teleportation privileges quietly activated. A group of people in black robes whooshed over and gathered around a large package.
"Is this what the little one sent us to eat?"
"Sniff, the little one is so kind!"
"So good, mom’s crying!"
...
Mu Ying resolved the issue and spent a few more days observing the forum. Everyone seemed to be following her advice and not wasting their time on it anymore, so she finally felt at ease.
Just as she was about to exit the forum, she suddenly noticed a thread that wasn’t particularly hot.
The title was "I’ve Become a Trialist."
"I, an ordinary player with average attributes and not high on the regional level rankings, found a critically injured NPC in the wilderness. He gave me a wooden sign. Through this wooden sign I became a Trialist and received skills beyond my profession in a place called the Trial World.
I thought I was the only unique one, about to soar to great heights, but after I saw Lord Mu Ying of Qingshan Town’s post saying that potion mixing is a skill, not a profession, I suddenly realized that there might be more than just me who is lucky. She’s very likely to be one of them too.
I’m ready to develop in the Xia Country Region. Qingshan Town might be a nice place."
After reading the original poster’s message, Mu Ying was not particularly surprised.
Grandpa Shom had mentioned many times that he too was a Trialist; Trialists were definitely not unique.
The existence of Trialists was a good thing for Deep Blue Star and for the universe. They were the talents who earned resources for this world. How much Origin Power the world and the universe could obtain depended on the performance of Trialists in the Trial World.
Trialists actually didn’t have any conflicts of interest among themselves. At the end of the day, they were like employees from different departments within a company, each doing their own work.
This person wants to come to Qingshan Town, then let them come. Whether enemy or friend, Mu Ying was not afraid; she had her territory.
However, with him talking about it on the forum like this, it’s likely that other hidden Trialists are now aware of the existence of their counterparts. If they wanted to interact and make contact, they might come to Qingshan Town to test the waters.
Such people were all talents. Mu Ying felt that the more talents, the better.
Plus, through exchange, she might learn more about the Ten Thousand Worlds Trial.
She didn’t reply on the forum – it was better to keep a low profile about this matter.
"What the heck, a Trialist? I’m in the Main God Space for all you know. Has the OP been reading too many novels?"
"By the sound of it, OP is going cross-regional. Wonder where from. Please reply more about your travel plans, just in case you die, I’ll light a candle for you here."
"Still in the wilderness, still a critically injured NPC on the brink of death. Who makes up these lies without a draft? Which NPC can leave the camp?"
"What if it’s true? If there’s really such a wooden sign, wouldn’t that mean skyrocketing to success? I’m going to check if there’s any NPC that looks like a big shot in our camp and lick their boots a bit."
"OP, could you talk about how you did the trials and what kind of rare Skill you got? Let us see if it’s really as powerful as you say?"
"If Mu Ying is really a Trialist and has obtained the Skill of alchemy from the Trial World, does that mean besides being the first Druid, she has other hidden strengths? She seems even more mysterious now, how do we solve that?"
"I remember reading that the general store in Qingshan Town is run by a Crow, with the real boss being a rarely seen, very powerful old man. Could this be a special NPC?"
"Are you guys upstairs who are taking this so seriously sick in the head? You believe whatever anybody says. Don’t you have some judgment? If you constantly have to go to other worlds for trials and keep vanishing, wouldn’t you be under suspicion? And if you’re multitasking, you have half the time of others. How could you level up so quickly?"
"True that, I’m out of here. I actually believed what OP made up!"
The thread is in good standing now, with some believing and even more doubting, unable to stir up much of a fuss. And those who truly know about the existence of Trialists will receive the message.
The NPCs of some territories might get harassed for a while though.
The practice of treating outsiders as game NPCs, improving their favor to find quests, is long outdated. Although people still call outsiders NPCs after all this time, they already know they are living beings as well.
But if what the OP said is true, then what’s the deal with that NPC in the wilderness?
When Jiu San was crossing over to different camps, she even signed a contract, and even her travel time was restricted by the Doomsday Game. How could an NPC be injured in the
