Chapter 152: Chapter 151: Mineral Blueprints

"Ah, Mu Girl—"

Mu Ying was practicing Water Walking on Moon Lake when she heard someone calling from the shore.

Turning her head, it was Professor Su.

Eagerly calling her must mean there was something important? Mu Ying responded and walked toward the shore.

"Professor Su, what brings you here?"

Professor Su waved his hand and pulled out a parchment from his pocket, "I heard you were practicing a Spell that allows free movement above and below water, so I drew this from memory. It might not be very accurate."

Mu Ying took it and saw that it was a map, "This is..."

"This is a map of the mineral distribution around Coastal City, mainly an iron mine, a coal mine, and a sandy mine containing gold, silver, and copper. There are also others... I hope this can help the territory," Professor Su explained the various mining sites to her and taught her how to identify the ores.

Mu Ying was dizzy with the big surprise. She remembered Professor Su’s words carefully and finally said earnestly, "Thank you. When I find the mining sites, I’ll give you a bonus!"

"Haha, alright, I’ll be waiting," Professor Su laughed.

With this map of mineral distribution, Mu Ying’s motivation to practice her Spell increased significantly.

She had already saved up enough money to build a Long-distance Transmission Array, but upon receiving this map, she decided to postpone it and secure the mines for herself first.

The stones from the Quarry Camp could only be used as paving materials, but the ores could be sold for money.

Having the mining sites was like having another source of income, making saving money even faster, right?

In just a few days, Mu Ying mastered Water Walking.

Thinking it’d be difficult to cook at sea, Mu Ying spent another day preparing lots of cooked food and directly edible fruits, enough to last her over a month.

As she was packing these items, Gungun tugged at the hem of her robe.

"What’s up?"

Gungun pointed behind him.

A fluffy little head peeked out.

Mu Ying’s eyes widened: "It hatched?"

Gungun nodded his head.

Mu Ying facepalmed, she had been busy practicing her Spell and hadn’t had time to attend to the Jumping Rabbits and the Fire-breathing Egg.

The former were well-fed with grass, and the latter had not hatched for a long time. Mu Ying had lost hope, and it was only Gungun who became emotionally attached to the egg, not letting her touch it. Unexpectedly, it hatched at this critical moment.

Well, better to settle them first. Fire-breathing Chickens weren’t like Jumping Rabbits; they could breathe fire with extraordinary destructive power.

This chick that clung to Gungun like a little furball, wouldn’t even let Mu Ying touch it, constantly pecking at Gungun’s fur playfully, relentlessly coming back to peck no matter how Gungun struggled.

"Come on, let’s check the other eggs," Mu Ying led the way into the rabbit hut.

The rabbits were outside the hut eating grass, all looking much fatter than when they first arrived, sleek and shiny.

Mu Ying glanced at them; their days of freeloading were ending today.

In the corner to the left of the rabbit hut’s door was a thick pile of dry hay where all the Fire-breathing Chickens’ eggs were.

"Cheep cheep cheep—"

Another eggshell was pushed open, revealing a round little head. Its eyes fixed on Gungun, and it immediately wriggled out of the shell, becoming Gungun’s little follower number two.

"Haha, Gungun, they think you’re their mom," Mu Ying teased, their Gungun wasn’t even grown up yet.

"Cheep cheep—"

"Chirp chirp chirp~"

Two little chicks started arguing for some reason.

When chirping did no good, a small flame suddenly burst out of their mouths, aiming at each other’s heads.

Gungun got a fright and tried to block with his claws, but couldn’t manage in time; he only shielded a small part.

"Chirp!"

The two chicklings seemed immune to fire damage, unharmed, while poor Gungun had a few singed feathers on his claws.

"These chickens are a bit dangerous, can’t keep them here," Mu Ying gathered up the remaining fire-breathing eggs, grass and all.

Then she had Gungun take the two chicks to the Breeding Camp together.

Mu Ying then went outside to the rabbit house to take the Jumping Rabbits.

The endpoint of the transmission was this newly expanded part of the Breeding Camp.

She had previously scattered fast-growing pasture seeds here, and now they had grown quite respectably.

She had also divided this area into two sections, one for the Jumping Rabbits and one reserved for the Fire-breathing Chickens.

The place was spacious, with a large open grassland and a shed.

Jumping Rabbits were easy; they were gentle in nature and happy as long as they had grass to eat. Since recognizing Mu Ying as their provider, they would do whatever she said.

Fire-breathing Chickens were not as easy to manage.

Mu Ying placed the collected chicken nests inside the chicken coop.

Liu Luoluo, seeing the commotion, came over, "Have the chickens hatched?"

Mu Ying had told Liu Luoluo her plans after dividing these two areas, so she knew what the place was used for.

"Yes, two hatched, but they are quite temperamental. You need to hurry up and learn the Holy Sanctuary Technique, or these chickens will be tough to handle. Even collecting eggs will become a problem," Mu Ying felt it was tricky.

The meat, eggs, and feathers of the Fire-breathing Chickens were all excellent, but their constant fire-breathing was troublesome.

"I’m learning, I’m learning. I’ve been praying a lot lately, should be able to master it before these chicks start laying eggs," Liu Luoluo assured, patting her chest.

"That’s good. I’m really glad I brought you in to manage the Breeding Camp. The Priest’s spells are quite useful," Mu Ying remarked.

The Holy Sanctuary Technique was a first-tier Priest spell, creating a spherical protective zone around oneself, almost amounting to an absolute defense, but the person within must not engage in any offensive act, or the technique would fail.

Despite its limitations, this spell was a lifesaver, even coveted by Mu Ying for its promise of absolute defense.

The Holy Sanctuary Technique was more than enough to deal with the Fire-breathing Chickens.

For now, the chicks were relatively manageable; just a bit of grain scattered daily sufficed.

Liu Luoluo smiled sheepishly, "What are your plans for the Jumping Rabbits?"

"Big rabbits go out as mounts to work. If they don’t earn their keep, they’ll pay with their fur for food. Winter is coming, and we’re short on rabbit fur. Let the little ones grow for now," Mu Ying said matter-of-factly.

She never intended to treat the rabbits she captured as revered ancestors.

Liu Luoluo nodded, which made sense.

"But I don’t have the time to train the Jumping Rabbits to follow commands anymore. I might need to hire Zheng Jing to handle this, as she seems to have learned animal conversation," Mu Ying’s interest in these rabbits had waned compared to the minerals under the sea.

"Sure, the Breeding Camp always gets the older folks; there are hardly any youngsters. I get bored stiff every day," Liu Luoluo clapped her hands happily.

She had no concerns about someone else affecting her status; after all, she couldn’t handle everything alone and appreciated the help.
