The corridor in the other direction led to the bathroom, also covered in sticky secretions.

Ada thrust a knife into the wall and pried with force! Astonishingly, she pried open an invisible door, behind which were piled various cleaning tools—this space was the utility room used by the building’s cleaning staff.

The trio immediately hid inside and closed the door tightly!

After a while, the noise outside lessened, and Ada turned on the flashlight, illuminating the cramped and narrow utility room.

The light from the flashlight relaxed their taut nerves.

Behind Bai Youwei was a wall, on her left was Shen Mo, and on her right was a metal shelf with items like disinfectant, the air in the tiny space murky.

Shen Mo used the earpiece to contact Yuri: "We’re in the utility room of the 32nd floor’s east corridor, temporarily safe."

In the cramped space, the three of them sat in silence, the only light coming from a flashlight beam hitting the grey-white wall.

Ada was even more surprised; as she took it to pad her bottom, she whispered quietly, "The stuff in your backpack is really quite random..."

While everyone else carried weapons or survival tools, she had actually packed a bunch of cushions.

Bai Youwei just smiled, without saying a word.

She had followed them from the 1st floor to the 32nd, then tirelessly splashing gasoline and playing with fire; she was indeed a bit tired, and now that they needed to rest, she certainly wouldn’t skimp on herself.

Thus, she took out several bottles of energy drinks and handed them to Shen Mo and Ada.
