Chapter 177 – An Unusual Morning

Chapter 177: Chapter 177 – An Unusual Morning

Morning came slowly, creeping over the horizon still veiled by a thin mist, bringing soft golden light that filtered gently through Sylvia’s bedroom window. The room, once filled with the darkness and silence of night, was now bathed in a warm, calming glow. The air felt fresh, carrying the scent of morning dew mingled softly with lavender from incense that had burned throughout the night.

On the large, comfortable bed, Sylvia still slept soundly, her face peaceful, her chest rising and falling in steady rhythm, showing a deep, restful sleep. Yet, unbeknownst to her, a silver-haired woman lay asleep right beside her.

Celes, who somehow had slipped into Sylvia’s room unnoticed, slept with a serene expression. Her small body was wrapped in the same blanket as Sylvia’s, her face partially hidden beneath her loose flowing hair. The girl seemed to relish sleeping next to Sylvia, as if Sylvia’s presence gave her a tranquility she could hardly find elsewhere.

Perhaps accustomed to Celes’s presence all this time, Sylvia hadn’t even realized the girl was there. Usually, Sylvia, with her heightened vigilance, would never allow anyone near her without awareness, but this time her defense instinct was truly lowered, for in her mind, there was no danger if it was Celes.

After a moment, Sylvia’s eyes slowly opened. She yawned softly while stretching, enjoying the rare sensation of rest. Slowly, she sat up, her long black hair falling freely down her back, revealing the beautiful morning view through the large window beside the bed.

Sylvia looked around with sleepy eyes and it was then that Celes slowly opened hers, still half-asleep, and carefully slipped off the bed without Sylvia noticing. The girl stepped quietly toward the door, then with a small, triumphant smile, disappeared silently leaving Sylvia still unaware of her presence.

Unaware of the events of the previous night, Sylvia rose leisurely and walked toward her private bathroom, specially prepared for the morning. The room was spacious with white marble floors that felt cool and pleasant beneath her feet. At the center, a large bathtub was filled with warm water, its surface steaming lightly, indicating the perfect temperature for her body.

When the door opened, Sylvia was slightly surprised to find Alicia and Stacia already inside the large bathtub, sitting facing each other and chatting lightly, enjoying a new experience they had never felt before.

"Oh, Sylvia! You’re finally awake," Alicia said warmly, her long silver hair flowing freely behind her, making her look elegant even though she was completely naked in the warm water.

"Come on in, the water’s so comfortable!" Stacia exclaimed, her face slightly flushed from the heat, yet her coquettish expression was clear. Her bright ash-gray hair shimmered softly under the morning sunlight filtering through the transparent glass by the bath.

Sylvia chuckled softly at her two sisters’ antics. She quickly removed her clothes and stepped slowly into the bathtub. When the warm water touched her skin, Sylvia sighed softly, enjoying a sensation she had rarely experienced since becoming a zombie.

"It feels like heaven," she murmured as she leaned back, closing her eyes for a moment, feeling the warm water gently envelop every part of her body.

Alicia watched Sylvia carefully and smiled. "This new body really is amazing. I never imagined I’d get to enjoy a bath like this again."

"Yes, it’s truly delightful," added Stacia, still trying to hide her embarrassment behind a stern gaze. Though she acted indifferent, her eyes clearly sparkled with joy.

Sylvia slowly opened her eyes, smiling as she saw her two sisters enjoying this bright morning. She looked at them both, realizing how similar their bodies actually were. Yet, there was one obvious difference that could not be ignored their breast sizes.

Alicia had a slimmer, more elegant figure, making her look like a gentle and caring older sister. Her breasts were slightly smaller than Sylvia’s, but her body appeared perfectly balanced, reflecting her mature and wise nature.

Meanwhile, Stacia, despite her much more childish and stubborn tsundere personality, had the most striking curves among the three. Her breasts were larger, which made Sylvia secretly smile at Stacia’s expression as she still tried to maintain her dignity and act like the older sister.

"What are you looking at, Sylvia?" Stacia suddenly asked, glaring at Sylvia with a slightly flushed face.

Sylvia giggled softly and shrugged lightly. "Nothing, I’m just happy to see you two here with me."

Stacia snorted quietly and turned away, her cheeks still red. "Hmph. Don’t get the wrong idea, I’m only bathing here because I wanted to know how it feels."

Alicia laughed softly, gently patting Stacia’s shoulder. "No need to be shy, Stacia. We’re sisters now, we have to get used to this."

"Hmph, suit yourselves!" Stacia said, crossing her arms, but her blushing face showed that she was actually very happy.

Sylvia rested her head on the edge of the bathtub, enjoying this peaceful morning atmosphere. She knew well that calm moments like this might not come often in her life filled with battles and dangers. But this morning, she allowed herself to savor every second of peace shared with Alicia and Stacia.

"We should do this more often," Alicia said softly, smiling at her two younger sisters. "I think we need times like this to get to know each other better, especially now that we have new, living bodies."

Sylvia nodded slowly. "True. Moments like this will be our strength in the future."

Though her face still showed a bit of pride, Stacia finally nodded as well. "Well... maybe once in a while isn’t so bad."

The three exchanged glances, then laughed together, their voices filling the spacious bathroom with an irreplaceable morning warmth.

Outside the bathroom, unbeknownst to them, Celes stood quietly behind a slightly open door, smiling softly. She had no intention to disturb them, only to make sure Sylvia and her two sisters were truly enjoying this beautiful morning.

The little girl then turned around, walking slowly away from the bathroom while murmuring softly, "I hope this morning can be a source of happiness for you, Sylvia."

And so the morning passed, filled with warmth, simple happiness, and peace that they had so long struggled to find. A new day had begun, bringing with it challenges and adventures waiting ahead.

But at least, this morning they all found a moment of peace they deserved to share together.

After enjoying a long, soothing soak in the warm bath, Sylvia, Alicia, and Stacia finally stepped out of the bathroom. Wrapped in soft white bathrobes, their hair still slightly damp, they walked together. Sylvia glanced at her sisters, noticing their relaxed expressions, and smiled gently.

"Today, let’s spend time without worrying about anything," Sylvia said lightly. "I think we deserve some rest after everything we’ve been through lately."

Alicia nodded in agreement, smoothing her silver hair with her delicate fingers. "I agree. We really need a day like this free from burdens and pressure."

Stacia, usually proud and guarded, didn’t refuse this time. The ash-haired girl secretly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, though her face still bore a somewhat indifferent expression.

"Alright then. But I’m hungry, so let’s find breakfast quickly," she said, holding her stomach as it started to rumble softly.

Sylvia chuckled softly. "Then let’s head to the dining room. I’m sure breakfast is already prepared for us."

The three of them walked out of the room, strolling leisurely down the long castle corridor bathed in bright morning light. The soft sound of their footsteps blended with the peaceful morning atmosphere inside the castle, as if all its inhabitants knew today was a special day filled only with tranquility.

Upon entering the dining room, the delicious aroma of food immediately greeted their noses. On the large table, various dishes were neatly arranged warm bread, soft cheeses, fresh fruits, and calming herbal teas. Sylvia saw Celes already sitting comfortably, enjoying a cup of tea with a small smile.

"Good morning, Sylvia," Celes greeted softly, her face calm as usual, showing no sign that she had sneaked into Sylvia’s bed the previous night.

"Good morning, Celes," Sylvia replied casually, taking the empty seat beside her. She suspected nothing, still feeling this morning was as normal as any other.

Breakfast was filled with light banter and laughter. Stacia occasionally complained as Alicia teased her, while Sylvia and Celes simply smiled watching their antics. What began as a simple meal to fill their stomachs turned into a rare and pleasant moment of relaxation for them.

After breakfast, the four girls stepped out of the dining room and headed to the castle’s beautiful inner garden. They chose to sit in a gazebo surrounded by various blooming colorful flowers, adding to the beauty of the bright morning atmosphere.

"Ah, today is really enjoyable," Alicia said as she leaned back, gazing at the clear blue sky above them.

Sylvia nodded in agreement, savoring the gentle breeze brushing her face. "Yes, it’s very soothing. I almost forgot what it felt like to enjoy time like this."

Celes, sitting quietly beside Sylvia, looked up at the sky with a small smile. "Sometimes, peace is the best gift we can give ourselves."

Stacia snorted softly, playing with her ash-gray hair. "You’re all too sentimental. But... I admit today’s quite nice," she muttered shyly.

The three of them laughed softly upon hearing Stacia’s still proud remark. The warm atmosphere grew even more real among them.

The day passed very slowly. They spent their time simply sitting leisurely in the garden, chatting about trivial things. Occasionally, carefree laughter filled the garden, making the zombie guards standing afar smile faintly, feeling that this castle was finally filled with the simple happiness they rarely experienced.

After a long while, Sylvia finally stood and slowly walked toward the flower garden a little farther from the gazebo. She stopped in front of a bed of beautiful roses and bent down to pick a perfectly blooming pink rose.

"For you, Alicia," Sylvia said, handing the flower to Alicia with a gentle smile.

Alicia accepted it with a slightly blushing face and returned a warm smile. "Thank you, Sylvia."

Sylvia then picked another, this time a purple flower, and gave it to Stacia. "And this one is for you, Stacia."

Stacia was silent for a moment before taking the flower, then turned her face away with her typical tsundere expression. "Hmph, I don’t really like flowers, but... thanks."

Celes only chuckled lightly at their antics, then Sylvia approached her with a smile. "And this, for you, Celes," she said, handing over a very pretty white flower.

Celes took it with a gentle expression, a small smile gracing her face. "I’ll keep it carefully."

The four then strolled slowly around the garden, enjoying the fresh air and the colorful blooms. Time passed slowly, feeling so relaxed and calming.

As evening approached, they finally decided to go back inside. They chose to sit in a large lounge filled with soft sofas and piles of books. Alicia immediately picked up an old fairy tale book and read aloud softly, while the others relaxed, listening.

Alicia’s gentle voice telling the story slowly made them all feel sleepy. Sylvia herself had to yawn several times, feeling very comfortable and peaceful.

Before long, Sylvia noticed Stacia had fallen into a deep sleep, hugging a small pillow. Celes also seemed to be dozing beside Sylvia, while Alicia continued reading, her voice growing softer and quieter.

Sylvia smiled softly, realizing how rare moments of peace like this were in their dangerous lives. Gently, she took a thin blanket nearby and covered the sleeping Stacia. She also took another blanket to cover little Celes, who was starting to close her eyes.

Alicia, having finished the story, smiled softly at the scene. "Today was truly perfect, Sylvia. I hope we can have days like this again sometime."

Sylvia nodded slowly, leaning back on the sofa as she took a deep breath. "I hope so too, Alicia."

Before she knew it, Sylvia was also starting to feel sleepy. She closed her eyes, enjoying the comfort now filling her heart. No tension, no burdens on her mind only a simple peace that was truly precious.

And so, that relaxed day passed quietly and peacefully. They all fell asleep comfortably in the lounge, enjoying the much-needed rest as if the outside world no longer mattered for today.

Tomorrow would bring new challenges, but at least today, they had succeeded in savoring a small happiness so precious happiness they would likely remember in their hearts for a long time.
