Aamir stared at the notification, then at the small blue phoenix chirping in his hands. His mouth fell open in disbelief.
"What the hell..." he muttered. "First, it’s a World Breaker-class beast—people treat these things like myths—and now it gives me an S-rank shield that blocks every kind of attack?! This is just too overpowered."
Luman’s booming voice echoed in his mind.
"Didn’t I tell you? That egg would bring you great fortune. And now look at you."
Another ding! suddenly rang in his head.

"I’m just 458 points away from Level 25," he murmured. "I need to grind more beasts. Once this tournament ends and I return to Aryavrata, it’s on."
"And More importantly I have my own World breaker class pet, it’s pretty cool." He said with excitement.
Later that night, Aamir returned to his room, fell into bed, and let exhaustion take him. His breathing slowed. Sleep came quickly.
The Next Day
Aamir and his friends woke early, anticipation buzzing in their veins. They arrived at the tournament stadium, which was now packed with an even louder crowd.
John, the host, stood in the center and raised his hand.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome back! Today marks the Second Round of the tournament—and this time, things get more exciting!"
He paused for dramatic effect, then continued,
"This round is NOT a 1v1. It’s all about teamwork. That’s right—this is a 3v3 team battle!"
The crowd erupted.
"Teams are formed from the three students of each squad who passed Round One. So, for example—Team 1’s trio will face Team 12’s trio. Team 2 will go against Team 11—and so on."
He smiled. "And there’s more! The battle arena will change randomly when teams arrive. Let’s get things started!"
"Team 1 and Team 12, please come to the stage!"
Aamir stepped onto the arena with the two students who advanced with him. Their opponents—Team 12—arrived at the opposite side. Both teams stood facing each other.
Suddenly, two large machines at opposite ends of the stadium began to glow. The ground trembled.
RUMMMBLE
The flat arena transformed into a jagged rocky plain, filled with massive boulders, ideal for cover and ambush tactics.
John clapped his hands. "Now, here are the rules for this round!"
He gestured as staff members handed out chest buttons and special guns to all six participants.
Rules:
Each participant wears a button on their chest.
The provided gun shoots energy rounds. If a shot hits the button, it turns red—indicating elimination.
Players can still assist their teammates after being hit, but only a surviving teammate can secure victory.
You can use your adrenaline energy or mana to enhance your movement and reflexes—but NO direct attacks.
If anyone uses physical or magical attacks on another player, their entire team will be disqualified instantly.
"Do you understand the rules?" John asked.
Both teams nodded.
"Good," he grinned. "Then... let the second round—begin!"
Aamir held the energy gun in his hand. It was light but felt sturdy. The barrel gave off a soft hum, glowing faint blue at the tip. The button on his chest blinked green, pulsing slowly with every heartbeat.
The rocky battlefield stretched ahead—sharp stones, uneven ground, and towering boulders that reached almost ten feet high. A hot breeze swept through the stadium, kicking dust into the air. The scent of dry earth filled Aamir’s nose. His boots crunched softly against the gravel as he shifted his stance.
Across from them, Team 12 stood tall. One of them, a guy with short red hair and a long coat, was already smirking like he owned the arena. Another girl adjusted her gloves, eyes locked onto Aamir’s team like a hawk. The last one cracked his knuckles and rolled his shoulders.
Aamir glanced at his teammates—Chris, the calm and calculating boy from Valtania’s Starwing Imperial University, and Nowela, the sharp-eyed girl from Galvia’s Divine Spirit Guardian Institute.
Chris gave him a small nod, adjusting his gloves. "Let’s move like we planned. No risks, only results."
Nowela rolled her shoulders, her tone firm. "Cover each other. Take angles. We win with control."
A voice echoed through the arena.
"Begin!"
In an instant, the arena burst into motion.
Aamir dashed toward the nearest boulder, his feet pushing off the ground with a boost of mana. The rock was cool against his back as he ducked low, peeking over to scan for enemies. His breath came steady, focused.
Across the battlefield, red-haired guy from Team 12 fired the first shot—ZAP!—a beam of blue light whizzed past Chris, barely missing him.
"Close one!" Chris called as he dove behind a jagged stone, already calculating his next move.
Nowela crouched behind a flat slab and returned fire. Zap! Her beam struck a nearby boulder, bursting chips of stone into the air.
The sound of footsteps echoed. Aamir turned his head—someone from Team 12 was flanking from the left.
"I’ve got him," Aamir whispered, rolling out from cover. He aimed his gun, steadied his breath, and squeezed the trigger. Zap! The blue beam shot through the air—
—but the opponent leaped aside just in time, vanishing behind a tall pillar.
Dust rose from the impact spot. Aamir coughed and moved back into cover, heart pounding.
"Chris, they’re splitting up!" he called.
"I see it," Chris replied. He took a sharp shot that forced the red-haired guy to fall back behind a boulder.
Meanwhile, Nowela moved like a shadow across the rocks. She used the terrain smartly, sticking close to walls and shifting her position without sound. She climbed up a higher ridge, crouching low for a clean shot.
Aamir’s eyes caught movement. The girl from Team 12 was sneaking toward Chris with her gun raised.
"Nowela! Two o’clock—take the shot!"
Nowela didn’t hesitate—Zap! The beam flew straight. It struck the girl’s chest button—Beep! It turned red.
"She’s out!" Aamir shouted.
Only two left on Team 12 now.
But the smirking red-haired guy had disappeared.
Suddenly—Zap!—Aamir’s button buzzed slightly. He had just dodged a direct hit. The beam had grazed the side of the boulder he was behind.
"Damn. That was close," he muttered, ducking lower.
Then he heard fast footsteps behind him.
He spun just in time to see the red-haired guy mid-jump, gun aimed at his chest from just a few feet away.
Aamir didn’t think—he activated a burst of mana, pushing his legs back in a flip, just as Zap! the enemy’s beam shot past his chest and hit the ground.
Crack! Aamir landed on one knee and instantly returned fire. Zap!
Beep! The red-haired guy looked down in disbelief as his button turned red.
"You’re out," Aamir said with a grin.
Only one left.
Chris had already tracked the last guy, who was hiding behind a low rock, trying to switch cover.
"You’re not sneaking away," Chris muttered.
He took a clean shot—Zap!—the final button flashed red.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"Team 1 wins!" John’s voice echoed through the stadium.
The crowd cheered. Some stood up, clapping. The noise roared like a wave crashing around the arena.
Aamir stood up straight, letting out a deep breath. His arms were sore, and his palms sweaty from gripping the gun so tightly. But he smiled.
He turned to his team. "We did it."
Nowela smirked, brushing dust from her sleeve. "Nice aim."
Chris just gave a calm nod. "That went well."
As they left the arena, Aamir looked up at the sky. The sun was bright, and the wind felt good on his face.
But deep in his chest, he felt something even better than the win.
Excitement.
This was only the beginning.
