I Don't Want To Be An Omega In My Sister's Trashy Reverse Harem [BL] -
Chapter 35: I’m Not Into Men... Right?
Chapter 35: I’m Not Into Men... Right?
Rin didn’t stop running.
He ran out of the training hall, his bare chest rising and falling, sweat sticking to his skin. His pants barely clung to his hips as he stormed down the corridor, past the sleepy-eyed guards, past the garden, past the confused stares of other staff members still awake for no reason.
Some might think he was going insane. He didn’t care. All he wanted was to get into his room, anywhere away from Lucien... immediately!
He reached his dorm and slammed the door so hard it rattled in its frame.
Then, he threw himself onto the bed. He kicked his legs, hoping his shoe would fly off, but suddenly remembered that he had run barefoot.
His chest burned as his hands shook. He tried to forget everything that had just happened a few minutes ago, and he quickly pulled the sheets up to his face, but it was useless.
He could still feel it. Every. Damn. Thing.
Lucien’s hand. His lips. His annoyingly deep and sexy voice at his ear whispering filth that somehow made his stomach curl and tighten and burn all at the same time.
But worse than that...
Rin groaned and flipped onto his stomach.
He got hard.
Because of Lucien. Because of a MAN!
That was the part he couldn’t accept. Not at all. He had made a vow to himself that he wouldn’t get hard for a man. Never. But a male character from a cursed book made him break his vow.
His face buried in the pillow as he screamed into it.
"Fuuuuuuck!!"
He yanked at the blanket, rolling into it like a burrito, wishing he could disappear. Maybe, return to his world.
"I’m not into men..." he muttered. "I’m not into fucking men... That was Rin’s body reacting, not me!"
He sat up halfway, his hair a mess.
"Right? Right?? That wasn’t me. It was Rin’s... It was definitely his... damn omega body being stupid and horny. So not my fault."
Rin flopped back down with a long sigh. He placed a hand on his chest, calming himself. He was relieved to know that he wasn’t the one who got hard. It was Rin.
Definitely Rin!
He turned to the side when he heard barking.
Niblet.
The little mutt was standing on the edge of the bed, growling like he was mad at Rin for something.
"What do you want? Were you watching me? Are you upset I came late?"
Niblet growled louder.
"Don’t be a bad demon dog," he said and touched its head.
"I didn’t enjoy it, okay?!" Rin barked back, cheeks red as if poor Niblet could understand.
He knew that whatever happened earlier would have stopped only if he had a gun. That stupid gun and unnecessarily expensive bullets. It cost fifty points and he had ten points already. He needed forty points to get a bullet for his gun.
"Does that mean I have to kiss someone eight times?" He grumbled. "And that bastard didn’t even kiss me! I could’ve gotten points for that!"
He turned away, muttering under his breath.
"It’s not like I wanted it... just... I need the damn points."
He sat up, rubbing his temples.
"Ugh. Maybe I should try kissing a girl next. See if it works. I mean... technically... I’m still a guy in here."
He stared at Niblet, who tilted his head.
"What? You think I’m losing my mind?"
Niblet barked once.
"Shut up."
.
.
After dragging himself to the bathroom and taking a long, hot shower, Rin came back smelling like mint and roses.
Niblet jumped off the bed and waited patiently. Rin looked at him, sighed, then grabbed a small knife from his drawer.
"Just a little, okay?" he whispered.
He pricked his finger and let a few drops fall into Niblet’s tiny food bowl. The moment the blood hit the bowl, the black puppy’s eyes glowed red and he began to drink like he’d been starving for days.
Rin groaned.
"You really have to find food other than my blood... I can’t keep bleeding every damn night like this."
DING!
[Current Currency: 10 Kiss Points]
[50 Points Required for Bullet Unlock.]
[Remaining: 40 Points | 8 Kisses Needed]
Rin looked up, annoyed.
"Tch. Thanks for the reminder, You Perverted System"
The system didn’t respond.
He rested against the wall, arms folded. Tomorrow was a rest day... finally.
He didn’t have to go to the clinic or see the other nurses who wished to drag him to the boutique again. And also, there wouldn’t be any awkward stares from Elna.
Just peace.
Most especially... Theron wouldn’t be there.
Rin was fully aware that it was finally the day of Theron’s rut. The day Theron himself had wished to spend time with Rin... on the bed, with their naked bodies entwined.
’Good thing Lucien made me reject him. He’d be gone from the clinic for four or five days. What a relief,’
And Elna? She’d be out too. Apparently, her heat was scheduled around the same time, and she couldn’t risk triggering any poor alpha who’d walk past her. They would have to spend their mating together, just to get rid of both the rut and heat.
Which meant...
Rin smirked, sinking into his bed.
"The clinic’s gonna be a mess next week without Theron and Elna,"
.
.
The Next Morning
Rin woke up with a smile on his face. He slept well with no nightmares or having to wake up super early. There wasn’t any overgrown alpha clinging to him in bed.
But he felt someone tucking him as he slept... But he was convinced that it was Niblet.
That morning, it was just him, his messed-up brain, and Niblet’s early-morning barking.
He cleaned the room a little, swept around the windows, and folded some clothes. Then, as he was arranging his cupboard, he noticed it again...
The drawer.
That damn lower drawer that never opened. He knelt in front of it and gave it another pull.
Still locked.
He grabbed a hairpin, jiggled it into the keyhole. Nothing.
"Huh... Still?" he whispered. "Was it the former Rin who locked it before I came here? Or was it always sealed?"
He gave up and stood.
"Whatever’s inside better not be cursed... or demonic,"
.
By the time he got dressed and headed out to grab a meal at the staff cafeteria, he noticed something strange.
People were leaving the dormitory.
But not in normal clothes.
Rin stood at the steps and watched women glide past in shimmering gowns, large feathered hats, and glowing veils. The male staff were dressed too... vests, high collars, some even had gloves and tiny brooches pinned to their coats.
The hell?
He squinted at them, confused.
’It wasn’t a holiday. Was it?’
Rin swallowed hard and decided to ask. It took a lot of courage, but he stepped forward to a noble-looking woman standing under the shade of a tree.
"Uhm... Excuse me?"
She turned slowly, then lifted a fan to her mouth. It fluttered gently, hiding her nose and lips. Rin caught the slight curl of her eye. She was about to brush him off... until she got a good look at him.
Her eyes lit up just a bit.
"Yes?"
"Where’s everyone going?"
Her fan lowered an inch.
"To the Temple, of course."
Rin blinked.
"There’s... a temple here?"
The lady gave a small hum and turned away.
"Naturally."
Rin stood there, stunned.
’A temple? In this world? Wait! I remember there was indeed a temple in the book...’
Well... there were demons here. There had to be some holy place to counter that.
Including people like him.
He thanked her awkwardly and made his way to the cafeteria.
But the thought didn’t leave his head.
As he ate, his mind kept racing.
’What if the temple could tell? What if there were holy relics that sensed demons or hybrids? What if walking in triggered some giant, glowing bell and everyone looked at him like a monster?’
Still...
He had questions.
Questions only someone holy might answer.
And so... he went. To the temple.
.
.
At the Temple...
It was tall, made of pale stone, smooth and polished. Huge glass panels lined the sides, each painted with scenes of angels and monsters. It smelled like old parchment and clean wood.
As Rin stepped through the archway, the air felt... different. He admired every inch of the building. Though he never went to church while in his world, he has seen pictures of them on social media.
But the temple looked the best. Everything seemed so angelic and holy that he felt affected by it... Maybe because a half-demon like him wasn’t supposed to be in a temple where demons are killed.
It was as if he were walking into hell made for demons.
’Everything will be fine. Nothing could possibly go wrong... right?’
DING!
[System Alert - A Side Character has Appeared.]
[Name: Ezra Ilfen]
[Status: High Priest - Seer]
[Threat Level: UNKNOWN]
[Warning: HATES EVERYTHING UNHOLY. DO NOT MAKE DIRECT EYE CONTACT.]
Rin froze near the entrance. A system message... and the warning is written in capital letters? It’s never a good thing if it’s like that.
However, if the system alerted him, that meant, the priest was close by. He slowly turned his head, his eyes snapping up toward the large circular hall.
There, standing near the golden altar, was a man in white robes. Silver hair fell past his shoulders. He wasn’t facing Rin... but Rin felt like the man already knew he was there.
His heart pounded as he stood up to leave, but he noticed that someone was already blocking his path by standing close to him. His hands were clasped together, praying. He looked young, dressed in a formal professor’s robe with a blue stone pendant resting against his collar. His hair was sleek and black, his fingers long and elegant.
DING!
[System Alert - A Side Character has Appeared.]
[Name: Professor Silas Cromwell]
[Status: Academy Professor - Dark Magic Scholar - In**c*nt *u*ch*r.]
[Threat Level: Moderate]
[Warning: Known to Study Forbidden Arts. DESPISE DEMONS]
"What the..." Rin whispered, eyes darting to the other side.
The so-called professor didn’t say anything, just a few prayer.
Just stared forward, like he wasn’t even aware Rin was next to him.
But the system had never been wrong. There were two side characters... in one place. At the temple.
This wasn’t just a normal Sunday.
And something deep in his chest whispered...
’He should’ve stayed in bed,’
