Chapter 570: Chapter 311: Selling Big Ivan, it’s all about having the right person

"The Divine Contract is activated, so where did the Guardian Elder explode?" Gu Shanhai decisively calculated a divination and then discovered an intriguing question.

It turned out that the adversary had used Big Ivan in Holy White City, yes, the place where Gu Shanhai had previously resided.

"Does he have some grudge against the Holy Saint?" Gu Shanhai was puzzled, but he didn’t delve further.

However, Big Ivan didn’t completely destroy the whole Holy White City because the Holy Saint took action and suppressed the explosion.

Mainly because the Big Ivan that Gu Shanhai provided to the adversary was just an ordinary version, if it were the modified Big Ivan Gu Shanhai had used against Luo Chuan in Daoist Soldier World, it could have utterly annihilated the opponent.

"Then, can I go and collect debts now?" Gu Shanhai thought and felt a bit excited.

If the other party hadn’t come to freeload, Gu Shanhai would not have acted recklessly, but since they had delivered themselves, he certainly wouldn’t be polite.

"I have to say, combining Divine Contract with Heavenly Mechanism Flow is just like printing money, and it doesn’t swindle just one person but an entire force."

"It’s a pity that the Divine Contract isn’t a power of my own, otherwise I could do more radical things, trap his descendants for eighteen generations and have them work for me as laborers."

This was also the first experiment for Gu Shanhai because the previous adventurers who incurred debts genuinely planned to repay, but Holy God Sect had come to freeload, so it was different.

This was considered a playstyle within Heavenly Mechanism Flow, Evil Path. In actuality, going to collect debts was the lowest form of gameplay; next steps could involve alternative forms of enslavement, using these people to settle debts or even have them shield him from threats, and even using these people to intercept various other opportunities.

In seizing those opportunities, the cost was definitely borne by these people, but the opportunities ended up in Gu Shanhai’s hands.

If he were more ruthless, he could load all kinds of backlash and consumption onto these people.

This school of thought within Heavenly Mechanism Flow is called the Slaver Faction.

This faction has a few taboos; first, do not use it on actual players as players’ semi-datafication would cause an immediate detection through status panels.

Secondly, do not use it on Childs of Destiny and designated villains, as these individuals defy common explanations, and Heavenly Mechanism Flow players acting as masters are very likely to face setbacks.

Comparing the fate and causality with protagonists and antagonists is indeed seeking death; even if a world doesn’t have destiny or causality, Child of Destiny and designated villains inherently possess an emergency mechanism.

However, there are some who are skillful and daring because if they don’t get backlash and die, relying on these two individuals, they can make a fortune.

Of course, out of a hundred who try this, ninety-eight meet their demise, one might get abducted to become a protagonist or antagonist, and only one manages to retreat in one piece.

There’s the Evil Path’s Slaver Faction, and there’s also the Righteous Path’s Flatterer Faction, which is befriending the protagonist. Under normal circumstances, Gu Shanhai follows this faction, but his method is rather unique—he directly intercepts the protagonist, taking it to a higher level. This faction requires a lot of investment, is time-consuming, and importantly, timing is crucial as well as assessing the protagonist’s character and integrity.

But it is extremely stable and safe; if you get beaten, the protagonist will help you out, and might even bring you various gifts.

As for why not to flatter the antagonist, anyone with a bit of sense wouldn’t do such thankless work. If you handle the protagonist, then the protagonist’s tasks fall on you, and the world’s main storyline’s difficulty is enough to deeply trap a Heavenly Mechanism Flow player.

Other types of players who trigger the world’s main storyline can still sell out to great powers; after all, they either rely on skills or luck, while Heavenly Mechanism Flow relies on scheming. Once you’re involved, you can’t easily withdraw; you’re simply tied to that world.

But being close to the protagonist when triggering the world’s main storyline reduces the difficulty while the rewards remain unchanged, because most of the time, you assist the protagonist rather than walking the protagonist’s path.

During this process, a vast amount of resources can be realized.

"I gained nineteen thousand eight hundred and seventy-two... seventy-three, just like that I got an extra slave, this thing is pretty deceptive." Gu Shanhai looked and found that one Divine Contract had split into over nineteen thousand parts; he was pleasantly surprised.

Among these slaves, the highest level is LV10 and the lowest are ordinary people; indeed, that new person joined as an ordinary person, and soon should become a LV0 adventurer.

"It’s a pity, partially due to insufficient abilities, I can’t meddle with their fates, otherwise, I could save myself a lot of trouble."

Currently, Gu Shanhai’s control over these nineteen thousand eight hundred people was limited; he could only make them take the blame and bear injuries, not force them to advance according to the fates he had woven.

Mainly because he currently wielded more capabilities in revealing information within Heavenly Mechanism, less so in other areas.

"Still, it’s not entirely useless; I’ll certainly use these people later when extracting the spirit of heaven and earth from the Divine Relics."

Gu Shanhai suddenly felt that collecting debts could wait, he could keep them as reserves.

Even if they couldn’t be used, it doesn’t matter; when it’s time to leave, he could just consume these people without it being a waste.

In Gu Shanhai’s hands, how could it be so easy to just use them up.
