Chapter 1741: Chapter 179: Meeting

Yancang Hu Mountain

Named for the giant rock at its peak resembling a gourd, it is usually frequented only by woodsmen and hunters. Yet today, an unprecedented scene unfolds.

Armored martial artists cover the mountain top to its base; Wind Media dart back and forth across cliffs, archers lie hidden in the branches and leaves, and formidable figures stand proudly in the void...

And the target of all these people are two Dragon Beasts that have been forced into a desperate corner.

Two squads consisting of six Fierce Realm experts clad in spiritual armor are driving the beasts into retreat step by step. Meanwhile, numerous Fierce Realm fighters remain in the skies, ready to take their turn.

Capturing alive has always been far more difficult than killing outright—especially against two wild beasts imbued with the Dragon Clan bloodline. The best method has always been to exhaust their strength through incessant wheel battles before branding them with the tamers’ seal.

The task itself isn’t particularly intricate. Thus, Chu Liang from Gong Huang City and Ji Shi from Liaoliang City merely stand in the firmament overseeing the formation.

"At last, those two beasts have been driven here!"

Chu Liang, looking frail and sickly, gazes at the two Dragon Beasts roaring against the sheer cliff, and exclaims, "Although they’re of the Dragon Clan, these two are far too clever, costing me countless efforts in my designs."

"The outcome is what matters most,"

Ji Shi remarks with joy, "Perhaps it’s the fortune of Gong Huang City and Liaoliang City. Those two decided to flee here; had they chosen Nongwang Ridge, our factions would have had no part in this."

"Thus, there must be no mistakes. Capture them before Yuannan City and Wuping’s experts arrive!"

Chu Liang glances toward the outskirts of the mountain, decisively stating.

"Easier said than done. The Dragon Clan beasts are naturally brimming with vitality, and these two Dragon Beasts are immensely strong, making close combat nearly impossible. Yet capturing alive requires us to avoid reckless use of combination attacks."

Ji Shi shakes his head and replies, "Neither Gong Huang nor Liaoliang has particularly powerful body cultivators. If we were to command wild beasts to encircle them, the ensuing uncontrollable ferocity would bring losses no one can handle. For now, it’s best to keep them trapped."

Chu Liang nods. Just as he’s about to speak, a loud explosion erupts from the eastern flank of Hu Mountain.

Turning to look, a brilliant arc of fist energy—resounding with the roar of tiger and leopard—tear through one part of the encirclement, toppling rows of massive trees and exposing a charismatic, unexpected visitor.

"How has this Tiger and Leopard also arrived!"

Ji Shi frowns darkly and says, "Does he truly think he can claim a share of the spoils on his own?"

"A mere Tiger and Leopard is nothing to fear. What’s concerning is that the true contender for the Dragon Beasts might not be him!"

Chu Liang says with lingering apprehension, "Do you recall that assassination attempt? Unparalleled Academy has always held strong regard for their prized chief disciple!"

"Are you saying that Feng Shixing is merely acting on behalf of Unparalleled Academy?"

Ji Shi asks with surprise.

"Who knows? Maybe the academy is simply short of divine beasts to guard their gates,"

Chu Liang replies sinisterly. "Now that he’s here, we only need ask directly to find out."

As they speak, Feng Shixing has already flown closer. Despite Gong Huang and Liaoliang’s archers and Armored Soldiers attempting their utmost to obstruct him, these Mundane Transformation-level combined assaults mean little to the Tiger and Leopard from Ningxiang Road.

Previously, Feng Shixing wielded only Tiger and Leopard Boxing Intent. But since obtaining the academy’s complete secret manual, he has now mastered boxing techniques incorporating the essence of five forms.

With every move, he blends two intents together, and with the exponential amplification of his divine soul, his strikes bear the power of earth-shaking devastation.

In the field, dragons and snakes intertwine, tigers and leopards roar, agile cranes circle back against the wind. Entire squads of Mundane Transformation fighters fall before Feng Shixing as if blades of grass succumbing to a storm.

Even more astonishing is that despite this ease, Feng Shixing doesn’t kill a single archer or Armored Soldier.

This precise control is something Chu Liang and Ji Shi have only seen in the highest Martial Ancestors of Yancang’s Nong Family—certainly beyond what they themselves can achieve.

In just a few short years, the might of Ningxiang Road’s Tiger and Leopard has become this terrifying?

Such thoughts turn Chu Liang and Ji Shi’s faces deeply grim, while the Martial Ancestors behind them grow tense, their expressions hostile as they brace for more.

"Feng Shixing from Ningxiang Road greets the gentlemen of Gong Huang City and Liaoliang,"

Feng Shixing bows with courtesy to Chu Liang and Ji Shi upon his approach.

"You arrive and immediately injure so many of Gong Huang and Liaoliang City’s archers and Armored Soldiers. Do you think no one in Yancang can deal with you?"

Seeing Feng Shixing’s composed demeanor stirs rage within Chu Liang, who threatens aloud.

"I wouldn’t dare be so arrogant. These are merely small gains from years of secluded training,"

Feng Shixing responds with a smile toward Chu Liang, boldly adding, "If Gong Huang City or Liaoliang City has any experts willing to teach me, I’d gladly accept their guidance."

"You insolent brat!"

Chu Liang shouts angrily as his horned Chi Lian Fierce Soul bursts forth, hurtling toward Feng Shixing with murderous intent.

Faced with the Fierce Soul that had entangled him so thoroughly years prior, Feng Shixing strikes with a single fist, merging Tiger and Leopard Fist Intent at its core, delivering a raw, resounding force to the snake’s thick neck, sending the Fierce Soul flying far away.

Back during the assassination attempt, the Chi Lian Snake Fierce Soul could match Feng Shixing evenly. Yet today, it fails to withstand even a single blow.

"Though that battle years ago ended without a clear winner, Feng has thought of you often, Mr. Chu. Would you do me the honor of settling this today?"

Despite his overwhelming strike, Feng Shixing does not pursue, instead smiling as he poses his question toward the visibly darkened Chu Liang.

Chu Liang remains silent, his expression shadowed. At his level, a martial artist’s sense for strength is exceedingly acute.

Years ago, Feng Shixing required his utmost focus and effort to deliver such a blow. Yet today, he achieves it with casual ease. But if Feng Shixing were to fight with full effort now—what then?
